Peter the owner keeps an interesting shop. Every time I come here I notice something new, a flower, a plant today, a fish tank. He's got a knack for gardening and he brings it here to the shop. It makes for a very soothing and relaxing environment. I've had work done by several technicians and the work is always great. I should've done this review earlier but I'm really not trying to give up all my favorites so you'll have to come in and figure out who your favorite technician is. Today my color scheme was purple. Last month I did red. I love the design work, it's not always exact but it's always cute cute cute. I love coming to this place and when my girls are big enough, I'm bringing them too. Thanks all. My girlfriend has been wanting a pedicure and manicure for weeks. She decided to give Diamonds Nails some business and she will never go back. She was there 2.5 hours and her feet honestly looked better before going there.. terrible service and a terrible job by the staff.. her fingernails look ok but they are definitely not something to brag about. I've been a loyal customer here for about 4 years is. Today will be the last time I go. Only went for an acrylic fill and polish change. Took 2 hours just for the fill. The older gentleman who works in there not only made every single nail bleed after I told him he was being rough, he then filed pretty much all of the acrylic off my nails that he had just put on and left it very thick on the tips. Put my gel polish on and then filed my nails more, when polish was still wet. Not one nail is the same shape, even though the shape was perfect from the time before. Every single nail has polish off of the sides. Also, he filed my real nail under the tip, making the nail extremely weak and uneven. Don't go here if you don't have an appointment with Kim only. read more

Try talking to nail lady and ash her opinion and she just gave me cold attitude. My gel polished started to chip after 3 days. Was charge $50 for a gel french manicure On my own nails. Was $50 for get pedicure. The vibe was not welcomeing. Will not be going back. read more

Have been going to Diamonds for a couple of years now. They are all very friendly & do excellent work! I mostly had Kim, the owner of the salon do my nails. She's quick & does great work but I recently started seeing a new girl there with bright red hair. I'm pretty sure her name is Jade. She does exceptional art work & designs. She does "bling, bling" nails & foils, and stamping! She also does pedicures. Her & Kim are the best! You've got to try them out. PS: Their salon is beautiful. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I got a shellac pedicure at there and two my my toenails ripped completely off after. I also got a shellac manicure there and my nails chipped within a week. The total price of my services was 150 with tip and that is absolutely outrageous. read more

I'd like to start off by saying that I am not one to take time out of my day to leave a review but I felt this was the one time it was necessary. Hoping I can save others from a horrible experience & wasting their time & money. I went to Diamond Nails for my second visit ever this past week & left in tears by the time I reached my car. I had an appointment for a gel pedicure & a full set of gel, French dipped nails. My appointment started with the classic pedi. The female doing my pedi seemed rushed & as I was watching the process I started noticing the carelessness. She skipped several steps to save on time, the massage was roughly a minute & a half total for both feet & legs, she skipped applying the gel base clear coat on two of my toenails & didn't cure the gel coats long enough with the curing lamp. I brushed this all off due to the fact that my toes looked decent enough & I didn't have extra time to spare to have her go back & fix the issues. Next, my full set began. I was hoping I would have some luck & receive someone in less of a rush to do my fingernails but unfortunately it was the same female. My anxiety was already through the roof after the pedi but I proceeded to give her a 2nd chance. She began by power sanding my real nails & didn't even brush them off after sanding & proceeded on to gluing on the tips over my messy nails, which left debris at showing through the fill initially. She then trimmed the tips & started filling over them. I explained to her that I like the fill thin & natural looking & she said okay, no problem. After filling, came the shaping of the nail beds & the actual shaping of the ends of my nails. I explained that I wanted the ends filed down a bit shorter bc they were still too long & that I would like a basic rounded, square shape. She said that when she buffs my nails, it'll do all that. Remind you, in order to shape the ends of the nails, you have to use an actual nail file, not a buffer. By the end of the whole shaping process, I was left with extremely thick nail beds with lumps & the ends of my nails were all different lengths & were left with sharp, unrounded corners. By this point I was trying not to lose it & walk out & was having a panic attack to the point of just freezing there until the awful experience was over. My nail lady could tell that I was uncomfortable & upset but proceeded to continue. I showed the picture of what I wanted a second time, a simple two tone powder dip. She gets to the dip & starts using a dirty eye shadow applicator that is coated in a multitude of previous dipping powders from other clients. She quickly brushes on the two different colors & they are not sticking at all to my nail tips but she proceeds to place the gel clear coat over top & cure them regardless of how horrible they look. I pull out my first hand after it's cured & quickly stop her & explain that they look bad & nothing like the picture. She gets frustrated with a rude tone & proceeds to ask me what I would like done instead & I tell her to paint them the same color as my toes & add a tiny heart on my ring fingers. She then sloppily & aggressively sands off her first try leaving the reminents of the previous screw up behind. She yet again, completely skips applying the clear gel base coat, only this time to all of my nails because she answers her phone mid session & says she'll be leaving in 5 minutes..I'm in complete & utter shock & my hands are shaking as she continues on. She finally finishes round 2 & has absolutely no care that I am holding back tears & you can see the discomfort written all over my face..I wash my hands & go to the cash register where I am checked out by another lady who can see the unsatisfied look on my face. She asked me what happened & I tell her & then she realizes my nails aren't even dry as they begin smudging & are tacky as she's looking at them. She suggests in a pushy manner that she can fix them right now after I've already been there for two hours & I tell her that I am very upset & that I have to go because I have other things to get done but I would like to call & schedule to come in & get them fixed free of charge. She agrees, I then call back on Tuesday & ask if this can be corrected & scheduled for Wednesday when I get off work. The female I was talking to was very rude & didn't seem to understand that I work long days & I asked if I could come in just a little after 6 due to work. She proceeded to tell me, no I must be there before 6pm. The business is opened till 8pm during the week. You would think that you would want to correct your mistakes & not lose a customer but that was of no concern here. I still ended up paying for something that left me in tears & that I absolutely hate. Wasted over 2 hours of my time & didn't experience one minute of relaxation or peace for a bill well over $100. read more

got my nails done by an older gentleman and when i went to my car i noticed the (purple) nails on my ring finger were a shorter length than the rest. so i went back the next day to get them fixed. Jasmine had to fix my nails and these were the results. As soon as she was done she immediately left. I guess she cared more about leaving work because it looked like a sloppy mess. she grinded my nail down so it was thinner than the rest AND she gave me a completely different shape! i told her tapered square and she gave me coffin. if im paying my hard earned money for a service, i expect more. so i had to take time out of my day to go back a THIRD time to get them fixed. the decorations and interior of the spa is beautiful. if you do go here, ask for the owner to do your nails!! read more

First, I want to start off by saying the women who work here are very sweet and welcoming!! They are very diligent with their designs and take time to make sure you like the colors they're using, etc. However, an older gentleman who I had in the past who has hurt my fingers before, I got again, and he left a big cut on my thumb when sawing down my acrylics. I rarely write reviews but I feel that this needed to be posted. I went there less than a week ago for a mani/pedi. They got me right in which was great. As I looked at their nail colors most of them looked half empty and old. They had hardly any OPI and the brands they did have I had never seen. They started with my pedi. It was ok. They rubbed my legs for maybe 45 seconds and that was it. Other than that the guy was ok. I told them I would get my manicure if they could hurry because I had an appt and needed to leave in 30 min. The lady came over and started doing my nails on her lap. I didn't mind because she was trying to speed things up. We finished polishing them at the table. The nail polishes they used were the worst polishes I've ever used. I had a different brand and color on my nails and toes. My nails chipped the very next day. It has been 6 days and almost every bit it gone. She never even pushed my cuticles back. You would never know I had been to a salon. Saturday (4 days later) my toes started chipping. They have now chipped on over half of my toes. It's not even summer so they haven't been exposed to heat or sun. This was the worst experience ever. Do not waste your money. I decided to try Diamond Nails because it is close to where I work and the store front is very inviting with beautiful flowers all around the entrance. All of the staff greeted me as I walked in and I was checked in by a very efficient 10 year girl. The salon was very dirty, cluttered, and chaotic. It took forever for someone to come wait on me. The pedicure was ok but not fabulous. The staff did not behave very professional and spent a lot of time talking to each other. My manicure looked really good but within a week it started peeling! Don't go here for Acrylic nails. Got a set put on and they look awful. So thick at the cuticle that you can literally see and feel a ridge there. Flat on top and not shaped like a natural nail at all. Gonna have to go somewhere this weekend to get them fixed. read more

I've been a loyal customer of this nail salon for about 6 months now, they so accommodating and sweet and they do an amazing job everytime!

My first visit wasn't the best by any stretch. I figured I'd have to wait since it was late in the day on Black Friday. No one could estimate how long I'd have to wait and when I was finally given a bowl to soak my nails, the water was ice cold. After 45 minutes with next to no communication and cold water, I left. Too bad, I like to support new businesses. Hopefully other patrons are having better experiences than I had read more

This is a new salon in Springfield, and is surprisingly big inside (16 massaging pedicure chairs!)! They've done a nice job with the interior and the staff I've interacted with seem competent. The prices are affordable; $15 standard manicure and $28 pedicure that includes a hot stone massage. I expect to come here again and add detail to this review, but for now I think it's a worthwhile new place to try! read more

I've been going to Diamonds in Springfield, Il for over a year. They have always been great. I went in 7/11/18 for a pedicure. I got a technician that I had to ask 3 times to please cut my nails and all she would do was file them until I finally said my nails need cut. Then when it came to the buffing of my feet she barely touched them. Then the massage she didn't even touch my feet. This pedicure was $38 and not worth a dime! I will be looking for a new nail salon! read more

I first visited this salon approximately 1 year ago and immediately became a regular customer. However, after my last several visits, I'm looking for another salon. The owners have allowed family and/or friends to turn the business into a social gathering place. During one recent appointment, a visitor, as she hovered over me in my personal space (actually brushing up against my shoulder the entire time) conversed with my nail technician during my entire manicure. The technician never stopped working on my nails, but the constant chatter and intrusion in my personal space was nerve wrecking. During another recent visit, a technician's toddler was all over the place, screaming, crying, etc. I've experienced other times when family and/or friends basically took over the place. I came here about a month ago to get acrylics. The girl that filed my nails down and cut my cuticles left hang nails and cut me twice. Paint job was bad and they used bad nail polish on me, whites spots showed up and owner threw away the bottle and the girl painted over them. Messed up the polish after that even though I specified. I ended up being there for over two hours even though all I wanted was simple acrylics with a color. read more

This spa is super nice inside, but the service is not great, nor is the product. They charge more than is listed- my friends and I each got a basic pedicure and acrylics for $70- and as listed should have been $56 ($28 each.) Nails are messy and look unfinished. Will not be going back :( read more

I've been to this salon several times. Never a professional atmosphere (kids and teenagers everywhere complaining, talking, etc.), but I've always ignored that for a good manicure. The last time I went, the 15 year old girl doing my nails filed the sides WAY too much, separating my nail from finger bed. The underneaths of the nails were all so uneven and damaged. The dip powder also didn't even last a week before cracking (this happened the last two times). I went back ONE last time today, trying to give it a chance. All I wanted was gel nail color. The guy filed my nails so bad and so short/crooked that I had to have two fake acrylic nail ends glued to two nails. Obviously I didn't want acrylic. This was upsetting enough. They passed me over to Kim (the best in the salon) to fix the nails and they were both so rude about it. The paint color was ripply when I left and I was still charged $58. I had wanted an accent nail but after all that I wasn't even about to remind them of that. They were so bad I know I'll have to fix them when I get home tonight. So much money down the drain. Live and learn I guess. Pedicure was good, but do NOT go here for nails. My real nails are so damaged after visiting this place 3 times. Won't ever be back. read more
