Yelp 100 Challenge - #50 Visited June 2025 This eatery offers hot pot and K BBQ. The staff were very attentive and friendly. However minus one star because it was a lot happening and limited space. I had a party of 5 and had limited space for raw food, cooked food, and drinks. We were so worried about cross contamination that we couldn't enjoy our experience. Minus another star for safety. While cooking the floors get slippery so beware and wear flat shoes to help as best as you can when walking around. Great concept but, this location needs a bigger space and possible slip resistant rugs to help.

Extra Spicy Beef Tallow Broth puts a smile on our faces

So Hot was the restaurant that introduced me to Hotpot. I absolutely love this restaurant and I now know I love Hotpot too! We like to get all the different kinds of meat and our favorite broth is the Extra Spicy Beef Tallow. The udon noodles are delicious in the spicy broth. The service and food here is always phenomenal, I've never had a bad experience. I really like the Mini Milk Buns if I can save room for them. The Cary location is a bit far from where I live. However, it's right next to an H Mart so it's worth the drive if you want to do a little shopping after your meal!

My family visited this restaurant for our first-ever hotpot experience. The spot was fairly busy and there was a15-20 minute wait. Some people were waiting around outside, but we found a couple chairs in the tiny waiting area indoors. In my view, we paid for the experience mostly. The spicy broth was best. The poultry-based broth was fine, but much milder and less remarkable than the spicier one. We are not huge eaters so we did not really benefit fully from the all-you-can-eat arrangement. I enjoyed the vegetables and crab most. It is definitely a great family experience, but not something we would indulge in often.

Definitely my favorite place to grab AYCE hot pot in the Triangle: everything is delicious & it's a great value-for-money! I've had the spicy Szechuan beef tallow, original pork bone, mushroom vegetarian, and tomato broths, all of which are great (but my favorites are spicy beef tallow & tomato). There are literally endless options for meat, seafood, tofu, and vegetables. They also have a great sauce bar, where you can concoct your own sauce or choose one of their readymade sauces. I really love getting a mid-hot sweet treat/palate cleanser haha with their fried buns topped with condensed milk. They have boba & alcoholic drinks for purchase that are not included in AYCE. Also really appreciate that you can make reservations, which I'd definitely recommend, especially on weekends. Ambiance is good: lots of tables, but their single restroom situation could be improved. There's a huge parking lot. Service is fast: you order using an iPad, which is very convenient; the servers all come by often to make sure you have enough broth. This time, our server was Summer, who was super nice and checked in consistently. 10/10 would recommend!

First time at SoHot and we're officially hooked! Michelle was our server and she absolutely crushed it--super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and fun. She walked us through everything, gave awesome recommendations, and made us feel totally at ease. The food? Phenomenal. So many flavors and options--it's like a choose-your-own-adventure for your taste buds. The BBQ Bulgogi beef was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the Cajun pot had just the right kick. Dumplings were a sleeper hit--pro tip: let them float! Can't wait to come back and try even more. Thanks Michelle and SoHot team for a delicious night out!

I can't believe I've never left a review here! I go here as often as I can. I love this place! Hands down my pick for hot pot out of everywhere in NC! The service here is always amazing! They're always very attentive and make sure you have what you need and more! The order system with the tablet makes everything so easy! Now I love the food and the broth here! We always get the Louisiana Cajun broth, which I just can't not get! The flavor is always so perfect with right amount of spice! And the meat is always a 10/10 for me! I especially enjoy the cilantro meatballs they have! And their sauce station has so many options to create your perfect sauce! They also have three or four different recipes for sauces that you can make as well if you are new or unsure. Now there boba is great! The tapioca is always the perfect amount of soft for me never to rubber like! I tend to go for the strawberry matcha slush they have since it has the perfect balance of not overly sweet or bitter! And when they have it I love the watermelon fruit tea it is always so refreshing! The inside is a modern design with cute touches such as the little astronaut man you can see on the wall. Overall love this place and always highly recommend them as my top choice for hotpot!

I always enjoy bringing friends to this hot pot location. Upon entering the facility you are greeted by a neon sign saying, "nice meet you" and that is exactly how the staff make you feel. Even when they are busy and there is a wait, it's worth it. You can walk around outside (H mart is within walking distance) while you wait. It's an all you can eat situation so it's understandable that people spend longer here. The restaurant itself is clean, warm and inviting. Every broth I've tried here has been splendid. Splurging on one of their specialty slushies is recommended by this girl, especially the honeydew melon one. My last visit we went for my friend's birthday and the staff surprised them with cake in fancy glasses and pretty candles. So much fun! Check it out :)

The service was amazing! (Ask for Ethan) The food and experience was worth every dime. I highly recommend and will make this restaurant a regular stop when in Raleigh.

It was very crowded when we arrived. We picked the middle of a Saturday to visit. Nonetheless, we had a great time. The service is amazing. We had 2-3 people make sure we had everything we needed. We weren't able to get a table when we arrived, but we were able to sit at the bar. Our experience wasn't any less than sitting at the table. I believe because it was so crowded the robot was parked near the door. You order via an iPad. You have 2 hours table time. It is all you can eat. You can continuously order meat and side items while you are there. So come prepared and ready to eat! You start with your base broth flavored mild to extra spicy. I chose the medium spicy. There were times where it was "so hot." I picked steak, noodles, water chestnuts, bok choy, corn, dumplings and mushrooms. They refill your broth throughout your service if it is running low. There is a sauce bar in the middle of the restaurant. A cotton candy machine sits near the bar area (cash only $5). Not bad for the beautifully designed cotton candy. There is a plethora of drinks to choose from ranging from milk teas to cocktails. Ice cream is located near the sauce bar. The only downside is this location is small. They need a bigger set up where people can move freely. I enjoyed my experience and would love to revisit when I'm back in town. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you receive and great service.

If you're looking for an ALL YOU CAN EAT hot pot buffet with HIGH QUALITY meat, CUTE and delicious BOBA drinks, complimentary appetizers, complementary SAUCE bar, AND to be able to freely send in more orders at any time at the touch of your finger then THIS is the place you NEED to be. In complimentary with your designated server, you are given an Ipad that lets you view the menu and send in orders at any time without having to wait for a server. They have a huge menu with lots of hot pot options as well as cool and trendy drinks and BOBA. I also really like their pot with the dragon head! Makes the whole experience super fancy. Inside the restaurant there are lots of seating ranging from small booths to bigger tables. You'll find lots of families and friends here in a cohesive and casual environment. A chill and cozy ambiance for people looking for a great meal with close people. Also a SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to our servers !! CONNOR and NIKIE !! They are so sweet, so friendly, and so attentive to our needs! Connor did an excellent job guiding us on the menu and how to use the Ipad system, but he also made sure to check-in on us despite the availability of the Ipad. I appreciate his friendliness and he made us feel super comfortable and gave us a fun and enjoyable first time experience here. It is rare anywhere to find such wholesome and wonderful people, and I truly appreciate them.

They run out of cute characters, so we got Ma Jiang :(

So Hot Hotpot Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - So Hot Hotpot

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

What are the vegan options?

Price will be the same- but they usually have lots of veggie options!

Is this a good place for someone's first time trying hotpot?

Yes! It wasn't my first time but was my friend's first time and our server explained everything to her perfectly.

Do you have all you can eat prices and menu available?

They did not have all you can eat buffet but you're gonna wish they did!

Do they take reservations for larger groups?

yes we do, if you have anything questions please call 9196945510

Do people ever eat on their own there? Like a single hotpot rather than with a group.

Yes you can they have two or one person hot pot seating available.

Is there outdoor seating?

Just for waiting on your table to be ready but not for eating your meal.

Are all pots spicy?

No. You can choose a non spicy pot.

Do they take reservations?

yes,if your parties more than 6 people. Welcome to make a reservation, if you not, welcome to walking in who comes first and reserved for that

You have any gluten free options?

Yes we do

I see raw meat, veggies, etc plates price separately? Are these brought out of the kitchen or self-served from a buffet line?

The food is ordered on an iPad and brought out from the kitchen to your table.

Open for thanksgiving and price?

Any kosher or halal options?

Do they have wine and beer?

yes we do welcome to try

Are any of the broths gluten free?

Is All you Can Eat the only option? If not, is there a time frame for when the All You Can Eat is offered? What is the price of the AYCE?

Yup, AYCE is the only option. If there is a wait for tables they put a 2 hour limit on how long you can stay to ensure everyone gets time to enjoy the food. Base price is $25 plus tax. If it's slow they do not cap your time!

Is anything on the menu whole 30 compliant? No added sugar, no dairy, no legumes, no grains, no carrageenan, no sulfites, and no MSG.

It's raw meat and raw veggies so that part is. The sauces are not overly sweet. You'd have to know the recipe to see how much or how little it is. I tend to eat no sugar/no grains and have not noticed any issues

Hey guys!, There is a "all you can eat charge" but, do we need to pay for each hot pot plus "AYCE"…

Nope. One fixed price....

Do they vegetarian options for broth, etc.?

Yes, they are vegetarian friendly

How much does it cost for a person?

We went today for lunch, and it was $24.95 per person, with a small charge for certain broths.

We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

It was easily enough for two people, maybe even three, and we came with a hearty appetite. We chose the bone broth, loaded up on fresh vegetables, and ordered the incredible sweet rice cakes, which are deep fried, dusted with brown sugar, and served with a rich brown sugar dipping sauce. We also tried the marinated beef and grilled chicken, both of which were tender and flavorful. The menu explains the spice levels really clearly, and there is a full sauce bar where you can mix your own dipping sauce, so whether you like mild or super spicy, it is completely up to you. We went around 4 PM, and there were already four or five other parties. By the time we were finishing up, it was getting really busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, it is probably best to come earlier. Simply put, everything we ordered was a home run. The soup - Wonton - was splendid. The broth had far more kick, far more substance, far more taste than the stuff we've managed to get at other local restaurants - and more clearly matched what I've eaten in Chinese restaurants throughout Southeast Asia . . . and, of course, in my few trips to Beijing. The egg rolls immediately made me think of this little hole-in-the-wall take-out Chinese joint in Brooklyn that I recall . . . from fifty years ago. The place was situated on the corner of Bay Parkway and 86th street, right at the point where the elevated track for the B train was located - and immediately became my father's first stop as he descended the station's stairs at the end of his workday, leading right to the front door of that cookery. He always ordered an egg roll or two, ate one standing in the entryway to the cook shop, and brought several home. Those Szechuan Garden egg rolls immediately, for me, resonated with the vigorous, deep taste of those Brooklyn delectables. We had a simple fish dinner with white rice, and an eggplant cooked deeply and wrapped in a thin dough covering - never had eggplant that way before and it was, again, a home run. The fish was so very simple, so very tasty - unforgettable. Thankfully, we have enough leftovers to make for another great meal today. We now have a new favorite restaurant near our home in Durham.

However, I have to say, it is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life and I've had pretty bad Chinese food! Delicious!! This was…read moremy first time having ramen, and my friend suggested we go here, and I'm so glad we did! Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! Worth the drive from Clayton, where I live.

Noodle Boulevard delivered exactly the kind of comforting, flavorful meal I was hoping for. I…read moreordered the Shoyu Ramen with Chashu Pork and an Ajitsuke Egg, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and balanced, the pork was tender, and the toppings--bok choy, beansprouts, bamboo, onions, nori, and that perfectly seasoned egg--brought everything together beautifully. I did ask them to cut the meat up but they were "not able" to accommodate that request. Every bite felt warm, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place is fun and energetic. The music was a bit louder than I prefer, but it didn't take away from how good the food was. If you're craving a great bowl of ramen in a lively atmosphere, Noodle Boulevard is absolutely worth the stop.
