Nothing was accomplished after three and half weeks and when inquiring on when work might start was advised to take it someplace else due to long lead time of parts. My RV stayed there 3 days before he had an estimate. When he contacted me, he stated that the one awning would require 6hrs of labor to repair, but if I were to replace all the awning material the labor cost would be close to the same, or a little additional if I got all of them done. I was good with that and asked him to send me a written estimate. When I received the estimate, it had an additional 8 hours of labor added for the repair. I called him the next day to question the additional labor and he stated that he was thinking about refusing service since I question the labor cost. I told him that I would come pick-up my RV. I think that he was a little overwhelmed with the repair since this was a high-end coach. He wasted 4 days of my time with nothing being accomplished. I do not recommend this repair facility.

However, b/c I bought it so much earlier than expected, I didn't have a place to put it. Dodd RV stored my unit for me and took care of it during the 'winter blast' and kept me in the loop of any needs, issues, and answered a barrage of questions I had (and still continue to have). Jen (Wiseman) is legit. She's the logistics and friendly smile that keeps customers coming back when issues arise. I can't imagine the in/out, fix this and that 'stuff' that she has to go through on the daily. I now have my Grand Design 265bh here at home and could not be happier with my purchase. Between the product service and quality on top of the regional support, I can confidently say I'm a "happy camper" (ha!). I purchased my 2020 Coachmen Apex Nano (new) from Chesapeake RV Solutions. I also purchased an…read moreadditional $1500 insurance package. After using the camper for six months, I brought it back for a few repairs. My plumbing had seven minor leaks - all documented with photos and Tupperware containers full of water. When I dropped the camper off I asked if I could use hose clamps should the plumbing develop any future leaks. The manager openly laughed at me and told me that it was a "ridiculous question" and a stupid solution. They then supposedly did a pressure test and told me they couldn't find a single leak. When I later crawled in back and looked at my plumbing I discovered: 1) That they had used two hose clamps where I had marked leaks. 2) That all 7 spots were still leaking. My awning motor always stopped when the awning was still 18" out. They told me they had replaced the motor. The "new" motor stopped when the awning was 18" out. My water pump stopped pumping water when the tank was still 1/3 full. One of their employees rapped his knuckles on the tank, smirked, and said, "It's empty, lady". He then grabbed a hose and filled it. The next time the pump ran endlessly I manually drained the remaining water. The 50-gallon tank still had 22 gallons in it. The water pump failed completely two months later. I asked them to show me how to manually retract the bump out in case I ever had an electrical failure. They said, "You should have asked that when you first bought the camper." I apologized and asked them to show me anyway. They said, "Look it up on the internet." I said I hadn't been able to find anything online and asked for a URL. They refused to give me one. Turns out there is no way to manually retract the bump out on this model camper. My insurance contract said there was a $50 fee if I brought the camper back to the place that sold it to me. They tried to charge me $200. When I pointed out the clause in the contract, they tried to charge me $100. They also charged me a $150 "inspection" fee. Most of all, they were incredibly rude and demeaning. This was right at the end of the pandemic and they had a lot of camper sales and repair jobs. When I called them to schedule an appointment for the repair they gave me a date over three months away and made it clear that they were doing me a huge favor not making me wait six months. Do not purchase a camper from Chesapeake RV Solutions!

They came back with good terms and told us we had good credit. But...they set up financing in only my husband's name without informing either of us and we found out when we got to the end of the deal. The finance guy said that Ian (our sales person) was supposed to talk about it with us. According to him it's harder to get approved with self employment and self employed applicants need to provide more documentation for approval. Not one call asking for documentation. Not one call informing us that this would be a hurdle. Not one call letting us know how they arranged the financing. Had they informed us beforehand we would have lined up our own financing so we both could be on the loan for business tax reasons. Double check your financing beforehand so you don't have any surprises.

We were told everything was good to go: pricing locked in, financing approved, ready to sign. But when we showed up, the finance manager broke the news that the lender wouldn't even finance the deal as structured -- something the sales manager Gavin had been warned about and chose not to tell us. Instead of being upfront or offering real solutions, they backed us into a corner and pressured us into adding a warranty just to force the deal through. What started as an exciting purchase quickly turned into a frustrating experience full of shady tactics and last-minute surprises. To make matters worse, we had our five-year-old with us the entire time -- stuck sitting through hours of this mess because the team couldn't be transparent from the beginning. It felt like a bait-and-switch -- and based on our experience, this place thrives on that kind of pressure and miscommunication. Everyone else's reviews are completely true -- this company is shady. Think twice and get everything in writing before you waste your time here. That said, Lars was great to work with, and Thomas, who walked us through the camper, was incredibly helpful and kind.
