Great place and food. However they seem to only Do a good job in person. The last 6 orders I've gotten from Uber eats and door dash have consistently been missing items or had incorrect items. It clearly shows the order on the ticket and checked off as they place in the bag but yet fail to get the right items. Also, a few times the fries have been significantly over cooked and come so hard you can't cut through and they are stale and 1/2 the time if you choose the bacon, chives, jalapeño option you'll be charged and it'll be missing from the order. Classic bar/restaurant. You seat yourself as soon as you go into the restaurant. Our server was new so he made quite a few mistakes which we didn't mind but he became so nervous at the end. Very slow on refills and I'm tired of having to put on my mustard/mayonnaise at the table- why can't the kitchen do that? Had to ask for SNF to be put on (all TVs were on MLB). Love this place! I ordered last night from Uber Eats and it was very good with one exception. Please come up with a better way of delivering the fries. Came on a Monday night and sat by the window. There isn't a hostess stand, you just sit wherever you want and a waitress will come serve you, menus are provided at the table. I ordered the bacon guacamole burger and a single side of cheddar fries. The burger was good, the patty was juicy but it didn't really wow me. Honestly I'm rarely ever impressed by a burger. I'm also not a fan of places that put chopped lettuce in their buggers because it often falls out of the burger and creates a mess. The fries were alright, I'm pretty sure there was a 1:1 ratio of cheese to fries, which is never a bad thing. I came here the other night with my husband and his coworkers. Because I am notorious for being early, I beat everyone there. While I was waiting I ordered a drink at the bar. The bartender was really attentive and gave me some great recommendations. I opted for a Shiner because it was $1 off because of happy hour. We tried a few of their apps: the fried mushrooms, chicken nachos and cheese fries. The cheese fries were amazing. They were so good that my husband and I ordered them again with our meal. I was in the mood for chicken strips and opted for the spicy battered strips. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger. His burger was delicious and hit the spot, but I was not a huge fan of the chicken breading. All in all, this is a fun little joint. The truth is I have visited this location at least four times in the last few months. I have wanted to write a review but have been waiting to find a main entree I enjoy. The issue is I don't love hamburgers and Snuffer's is known for their burgers, there is not a burger I have enjoyed but that is my tastes not a knock on the establishment. HOWEVER, I love the loaded fries. I eat at Snuffer's in order to over eat focusing on the fries. AND the reason I am finally ready to write a review - the dinner salad is fantastic it is around $4 and is large, crisp, and flavor diverse. First and for sure the last time trying this facility. Absolutely laughable experience. The waiter from the start DESHAUN E. was one of the worst I can remember. I will be remembering this and never recommending to anyone I call a friend. Waiter didn't remember anyone's orders or checks when it was time to thankfully leave. He took half the table and came back 20 mins later for the rest. No cash out procedure should take 40+ minutes. No friendliness towards anyone at the table. Making everyone's meals free wouldn't have even been enough to make up for this horrendous food. One of the 13 people at our table got sick immediately. Then the negatives: For a place that is known for their burgers, they really are putting out a very mediocre, greasy burger. Like really greasy. Been crying ever since Snuffer's moved to its new location. How could they? The old place was a North Dallas burger institution for decades. Before the Fuddruckers and Red Robins of this world, if you wanted an amazing burger or fries that could be a meal of its own, this was the place to go. Fond memories of walking up the long inclined ramp to enter, being greeted by a hostess who looked just out of high school, sitting at a bar that was rough-hewn out of some kind of laminated Pine then coated with a quarter inch of lacquer, being waited on by a bartender who when he took your food order would walk to the end of the bar, down a few steps to the kitchen pick-up window and shout your order. Always a gaggle of sorority sisters nearby chatting away. Those were the days. Also appreciated Snuffer's was a stand-alone facility with trees out front that shaded a glass canopied eating area, and featured a second entrance through same connected to the public sidewalk. Had a cool feeling to it. You were in a business area yet you weren't. The new location is, well, more like a national chain. The restaurant is wedged in-between two others in kind of a mini-strip mall, there's no trees, and the glass-canopied eating area is no more. On the plus side, the menu and food is the same as the original (in fact the menu is identical), so I guess my review just reflects an old-timer waxing nostalgia (and the setting). We had a stay-cation in Addison...this joint was half a block away. Even though our food was to go...the SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. It mightve been because im 41 weeks pregnant and was waddling in there. I usually order a couple of orders of burgers and fries to go. It would be nice to have a choice of the type bun as both of us don't like the poppy seeds. The bun is sometimes soggy too. I will say the actual burger meat is quite tasty. The fries, after several tries - NO more. Always greasy and soggy fries. So what that they are hand cut? That alone does not make a good fry. I tried something this last time . I put the fries in a hot air fryer for 5 minutes. Much improved fries from the air fryer. So, I'm still looking for an oustanding burger and fries. When I lived in Dallas in the 90s, Snuffers on Greenville was my go-to place. There was nothing in the world like their cheese fries, with bacon, chives, jalapenos, and ranch dipping sauce. For a while, you could get cheddar and Swiss fries. I think they've ditched the Swiss, or maybe you have to ask for it. While this location was not as cozy as I remembered Snuffer's being, and I found the large TVs all over the place more than annoying, the bartender was sooper friendly and the cheddar fries were almost as good as I remembered. read more

Holy cow! I was not prepared for how good this restaurant was going to be! $3 house margaritas and $1.50 LoneStar beer for happy hour combined with the best cheese fries ever! I love their ranch. He asked if the server asked me how I wanted my burger cooked and I realized that she never did. I informed him on this, and he didn't apologize or anything. He took my burger back, and I was assuming that he would bring me a fresh burger. But instead, I got a fresh bun and the same cut in half burger that I sent back, only burnt. I feel like sending food back to the kitchen is not sanitary, but that's just me. I was a little frustrated with the management, he seemed like he didn't want to help or that I was asking for too much.
