Burgers! Fries! Chips/Salsa! This is a mainstay burger bar that managed to survive the pandemic. Downside...the kitchen at this location has suffered. Burger temperature is both inconsistent, no matter how you order it, and a bit on the greasy side...yes, there's a difference between juicy and greasy. I trend towards chips and salsa as a fries alternative...it would be nice if there was a small add-on substitution charge instead of having to pay list price for this item which is in excess of the list price on fries. Service is hit and miss depending on who's working and what side of the bed they climbed out of. Overall...hey, its a big burger that comes out hot. Key your expectations accordingly. read more

Just went to Snuffer's tonight. I have to say the onion rings now Suck! Greasy and not like the use to be. What is going on! You are going to lose a lot of people because of this! Bring the old ones back! We come here because the onion rings use to be sooooo good. You are making a big mistake with the new onion ring! The grease was so much! Please change back! I hate this for Snuffer's! read more

Classic bar/restaurant. You seat yourself as soon as you go into the restaurant. Our server was new so he made quite a few mistakes which we didn't mind but he became so nervous at the end. We still left him a great tip and encouraged him. Overall this restaurant is a place you go to to get a quick meal. read more

Great service and good if you want good "junk" food. Would recommend for a casual day. Also, we lost a ring and they were so helpful for us to find it. read more

Burgers are always good. Great happy hour specials. Love Snuffers! Came in for happy hour and a to go burger. Service was excellent.

Cheddar fries are always great, but I had to wait approximately for my burger after my fries. Very slow on refills and I'm tired of having to put on my mustard/mayonnaise at the table- why can't the kitchen do that? Had to ask for SNF to be put on (all TVs were on MLB). That's just poor entertainment management. What's the point of multiple TVs if they're all on the same station (unless it's the Super Bowl!) read more

Please go back to your PERFECT hand-battered onion rings. the new Beer batter is too greasy! I've been a loyal Snuffer's diner since the early days - please please fix this! read more

Love this place! I ordered last night from Uber Eats and it was very good with one exception. Please come up with a better way of delivering the fries. When you put them in plastic containers and secure lid they become soggy and inedible. Place them on a piece of foil or put in container with air holes to prevent sogginess. Thank you!! read more

Service is always great especially from Amy the bartender and food is always delicious and never served late

Came on a Monday night and sat by the window. There isn't a hostess stand, you just sit wherever you want and a waitress will come serve you, menus are provided at the table. I ordered the bacon guacamole burger and a single side of cheddar fries. The burger was good, the patty was juicy but it didn't really wow me. Honestly I'm rarely ever impressed by a burger. I'm also not a fan of places that put chopped lettuce in their buggers because it often falls out of the burger and creates a mess. The fries were alright, I'm pretty sure there was a 1:1 ratio of cheese to fries, which is never a bad thing. Service is great, I sat in a corner and did not feel neglected, my waitress checked on me often and kept my water glass full. The restrooms were super clean. read more

Love the burgers and USED to love the onion rings. Yesterday I had the Horseradish Steak Wagyu burger and it was excellent. As soon as I saw the rings I knew they'd changed... NOT for the better. Smaller, greasy and I won't order them again. PLEASE bring back the old recipe! Our server was Harrison and he was great. We've always had great servers at Snuffer's. read more

Great service, the employees are friendly and always available. We really enjoy spending time here and the food is delicious.

Respect for a burger joint that lets you order your temp the way you want. Cheddar fries are the go to and get them loaded. Menu has expanded over the years but for 35+ years starting on Greenville Ave I only order a burger and the cheddar fries. Why mess with success! read more

I came here the other night with my husband and his coworkers. Because I am notorious for being early, I beat everyone there. While I was waiting I ordered a drink at the bar. The bartender was really attentive and gave me some great recommendations. I opted for a Shiner because it was $1 off because of happy hour. We tried a few of their apps: the fried mushrooms, chicken nachos and cheese fries. The cheese fries were amazing. They were so good that my husband and I ordered them again with our meal. I was in the mood for chicken strips and opted for the spicy battered strips. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger. His burger was delicious and hit the spot, but I was not a huge fan of the chicken breading. All in all, this is a fun little joint. I hope to come back again soon and indulge in some greasy cheese fry goodness. read more

Just arrived in Texas. My friend told me this place has one of the best burgers in town. He we right!! The burger was only $5 (I think) on Tuesday. It was cooked perfectly and came out hot and juicy. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. Thanks for the warm reception read more

The truth is I have visited this location at least four times in the last few months. I have wanted to write a review but have been waiting to find a main entree I enjoy. The issue is I don't love hamburgers and Snuffer's is known for their burgers, there is not a burger I have enjoyed but that is my tastes not a knock on the establishment. HOWEVER, I love the loaded fries. I eat at Snuffer's in order to over eat focusing on the fries. AND the reason I am finally ready to write a review - the dinner salad is fantastic it is around $4 and is large, crisp, and flavor diverse. So now I can dive into the fries guilt free because I am about to enjoy a delicious salad. Plus, we celebrated Snuffer's anniversary with a $10 coupon! Thank you Snuffer's and Happy Anniversary! read more

First and for sure the last time trying this facility. Absolutely laughable experience. The waiter from the start DESHAUN E. was one of the worst I can remember. I will be remembering this and never recommending to anyone I call a friend. Waiter didn't remember anyone's orders or checks when it was time to thankfully leave. He took half the table and came back 20 mins later for the rest. No cash out procedure should take 40+ minutes. No friendliness towards anyone at the table. Making everyone's meals free wouldn't have even been enough to make up for this horrendous food. One of the 13 people at our table got sick immediately. If you have never been and are eager to try I recommend you go to the local dumpster. You'll get better service and food. read more

Good food...nothing spectacular. I got a burger, hubby got a chicken wrap. We split the cheese fries. Well the fries were pretty darn good!! They don't skimp on toppings at all!! We had a stay-cation in Addison...this joint was half a block away. Even though our food was to go...the SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. It mightve been because im 41 weeks pregnant and was waddling in there. I was greeted at the door by two females, walked to the bar and the bartender took care of me in 2 minutes! Awesome multi-tasker! I NEVER TIP ON TO GO ORDERS BUT I TIPPED BECAUSE HE WAS SO AWESOME! Like I said earlier...food is good...I will probably be back but the service on a busy Sunday night was stellar! read more

Snuffers - To go small portion of cheese fries!! Pretty gosh darn yummy!! - Burgers Near Me - Addison, Texas

I'll start with the positives: the cheese fries are very good, not soggy and pretty tasty. Food is cheap and portions are generous. Then the negatives: For a place that is known for their burgers, they really are putting out a very mediocre, greasy burger. Like really greasy. I ordered a bacon cheese burger and it is really just a slab of greasy meat with soggy bacon on top. If that wasn't all, at 10:00pm on a Saturday, the service isn't anything to rave about either. Very quite and pretty slow. This place is great for some fries and a drink. Skip the burger there are way better places! Cheese fries: 4.3/5 Burger: 2.2/5 read more

Been crying ever since Snuffer's moved to its new location. How could they? The old place was a North Dallas burger institution for decades. Before the Fuddruckers and Red Robins of this world, if you wanted an amazing burger or fries that could be a meal of its own, this was the place to go. Fond memories of walking up the long inclined ramp to enter, being greeted by a hostess who looked just out of high school, sitting at a bar that was rough-hewn out of some kind of laminated Pine then coated with a quarter inch of lacquer, being waited on by a bartender who when he took your food order would walk to the end of the bar, down a few steps to the kitchen pick-up window and shout your order. Always a gaggle of sorority sisters nearby chatting away. Those were the days. Also appreciated Snuffer's was a stand-alone facility with trees out front that shaded a glass canopied eating area, and featured a second entrance through same connected to the public sidewalk. Had a cool feeling to it. You were in a business area yet you weren't. The new location is, well, more like a national chain. The restaurant is wedged in-between two others in kind of a mini-strip mall, there's no trees, and the glass-canopied eating area is no more. On the plus side, the menu and food is the same as the original (in fact the menu is identical), so I guess my review just reflects an old-timer waxing nostalgia (and the setting). Same good food just a different experience. read more

I do not recommend. The food used to be decent. Everything now is frozen not to mention they are usually running out of ingredients. This is a place to drink, if they have the supplies, and a place to eat. read more

When I lived in Dallas in the 90s, Snuffers on Greenville was my go-to place. There was nothing in the world like their cheese fries, with bacon, chives, jalapenos, and ranch dipping sauce. For a while, you could get cheddar and Swiss fries. I think they've ditched the Swiss, or maybe you have to ask for it. While this location was not as cozy as I remembered Snuffer's being, and I found the large TVs all over the place more than annoying, the bartender was sooper friendly and the cheddar fries were almost as good as I remembered. read more

Great atmosphere and the hamburgers are amazing. It can be busy at peak times but they keep the drinks coming.

I usually order a couple of orders of burgers and fries to go. It would be nice to have a choice of the type bun as both of us don't like the poppy seeds. The bun is sometimes soggy too. I will say the actual burger meat is quite tasty. The fries, after several tries - NO more. Always greasy and soggy fries. So what that they are hand cut? That alone does not make a good fry. I tried something this last time . I put the fries in a hot air fryer for 5 minutes. Much improved fries from the air fryer. So, I'm still looking for an oustanding burger and fries. Haven't found it yet in Addison. read more

Great place to watch football and get a cold beer. Cheese fries, what they are known for are awesome. Bartender and staff are very nice and attentive. I would stick with the burgers or hot Nashville sand which. They are both really good. I'm a chicken fried steak person, I wouldn't order that again. Seemed like a deep fried fritter. Wasn't hand breaded which surprised me. Regardless I will be back! read more

Keith was our server, he was phenomenal. Food and drinks both came out very quickly. We had the fried pickles and mushrooms for an appetizer and they were amazing. The pickles were some of the best I've ever had. I got the patty melt and my girlfriend got the mushroom and Swiss burger. Both were terrific. Great ambiance. Would recommend to a friend read more

The burgers are great but you come for the cheese fries! Get all the toppings and you can't go wrong!

Holy cow! I was not prepared for how good this restaurant was going to be! $3 house margaritas and $1.50 LoneStar beer for happy hour combined with the best cheese fries ever! I love their ranch. It could come out of a bottle for all I know but it is damn good. Dr. Pepper is my favorite drink so I had to try this burger. It was good! My only comment is that the onions really overpowered all of the other flavors. The bbq was super tasty on its own but I could hardly taste it on the burger due to the onions. A perfect date night! read more

Visited for dinner before fireworks with family and friends. Dan met us at the door and practically insisted we sit in his section. So we did. He was AWESOME! I ended up getting the buffalo chicken sandwich with sauce on the side. The chicken sandwich was really good. I got it to go but I took a few bites before I left so I would know how it tastes fresh. I had to return because my first order was well done and I had ordered medium. Leonard the manager was so nice about making things right. Green chili cheese burger. I was finally happy to find a place in the Dallas area that has a green chili cheese burger. I lived in Colorado for 15 years, and eating New Mexico Hatch Green Chilis became second nature. This burger was excellent and I will be back to get it again. read more

I had high hopes and expectations of a good juicy burger with delicious fries.. and I got nothing but less than expected. We started off with the fried pickles, and they were super greasy and so crispy that it hurt to eat. Our server was raving about how they were the best she's ever had..not even close. We asked for onion strings instead and they were equally as greasy. They weren't as crispy, which was what made us keep the strings. I ordered the cheeseburger, having a burger from Snuffer's before (different location) it was perfectly cooked, but after cutting into my burger, I realized that this one was RAW..like bleeding over the bun raw. I was not about to take a bite. I asked for the manager as another waiter walked by, and told him my situation. He asked if the server asked me how I wanted my burger cooked and I realized that she never did. I informed him on this, and he didn't apologize or anything. He took my burger back, and I was assuming that he would bring me a fresh burger. But instead, I got a fresh bun and the same cut in half burger that I sent back, only burnt. I feel like sending food back to the kitchen is not sanitary, but that's just me. I was a little frustrated with the management, he seemed like he didn't want to help or that I was asking for too much. Service was okay, there wasn't many people in the restaurant during the time that we went for such a long wait/forgetting things. I would not return to this location. read more

Whenever I'm in the mood for a consistently good burger I think about Snuffers. They have expanded their Friday lunch special to M thru F. It's any of their normal burgers for $5.99. It's the 1/4# size. Today I had the Bacon and Blue Cheese burger which was cooked perfectly.. The bacon was crisp but not hard. It was smothered in blue cheese and absolutely delicious.
