Cozy and attention to small details is what makes this place outstanding. I was in town for a wedding and just wanted a place to crash. I got a beautiful room ,healthy breakfast and warm innkeepers. I love love love this place! Just such a cozy and nice little inn with such a wonderful and welcoming staff. The breakfast is A+ and it's very close to the mountain as well as walking distance from a lot of après ski places. We've only been to Killington twice and both times we've stayed here. It's almost a tradition at this point and this awesome spot is apart of the reason our Killington experience has been so cozy. 10/10 would recommend again and again. read more

The Snowed Inn was amazing base for our recent "Hallmark Christmas Weekend". It was a spur of the moment trip to Vermont to experience the Wassail Weekend at nearby Woodstock Vermont. Snowed Inn's location is super convenient, especially if you ski, right near the base of the Killington Ski resort, with many great dining options in the area, and only 30 minutes from the quaint town of Woodstock. The Inn was a very comfy home away from home. Clean, quiet, with amazing hosts/staff, and the very tasty breakfast. Our room (Sage) was very relaxing and romantic, with a king sized bed, gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub and private balcony. Unwinding fireside with a beverage after a long day made for terrific way to just take a break from the hustle of daily life. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this lovely establishment. read more

Comfortable, clean, and excellent location. The breakfast is delicious! The teas and fresh cookies were a great treat.

I have been meaning to leave a review for a couple weeks now. I stayed at the snowed in for one of the big late season storms we had in March. It was Fantastic. Staff was friendly and super helpful. The rooms were cozy with comfortable beds and a nice TV. The common areas were nice and the breakfast options were terrific. Lastly...It's super close to the mountain. What else could you want? A hot tub? It's got one. Definitely coming back next season. read more

This place was amazing! The owners drove us in their own car, to where we needed to go when we had car troubles. They even called their own mechanic for us. Truly a sincere and kind couple running a great inn who really care about their guests. Our room was spotless and we felt really comfortable during our stay. Outdoor Hot tub, breakfast in the morning, appropriate heat and good hot water in showers! Perfect for our subzero adventure in Killington. Verrry close to pubs and restaurants. Hope to be back soon. You have to stay here if you're looking for an affordable and cozy stay! read more

I stayed here with a few girlfriends over MLK weekend and we loved it! We definitely plan on staying here again in the future. Most importantly, everything felt so clean! read more

Snowed Inn is essentially my Vermont cozy Christmas dream. Carolyn and Ken have created the most charming, relaxing space! Every little detail made the ambiance so cozy and special. My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay there immensely. We loved being able to sit by the fire at any time with a great cup of coffee, tea or wine (they have a super cute bar in house serving beer wine and great snacks). There were so many nooks to sit in and relax with a book or a game-with music playing and we were surrounded by festive Christmas decorations! There's also a hot tub on premises, the breakfast included is delicious, and the rooms are clean and lovely. We were also able to walk to nearby restaurants which is a great perk-it's very conveniently located to Killington and anything you'd want to explore in the area. Carolyn and Ken are so kind, helpful and are the most gracious hosts! They make everything so nice for their guests and have done an amazing job- we would definitely come back! Thank you Carolyn and Ken! read more

August in Killington is super, super quiet. My girl and I were on a beer adventure road trip and spent a night at Snowed Inn. We were the only guests for the night and had selected a fireplace room because it was a bit bigger than the standard room. The room was clean and well decorated with a full sized canopy bed. I'll admit, we weren't used to a full so it was a bit of a squeeze but we made it work. When we arrived the air conditioner was pumping and the room was cool. The room has a jacuzzi tub, which we didn't get a chance to use, but I used the hot tub on the deck which was a very nice end to the day. Manfred, the owner came out and set it up for me. We asked for breakfast at 8:30 and were greeted with a full spread of fruit, yogurt, bagel and bread choices and juice. There is a lovely breakfast room were we enjoyed our breakfast. We got the chance to peek into many of the other rooms at the inn because we were alone there and all of them were very nice. There is a big apartment with two bathrooms and many bedrooms which would be awesome for a family or friends ski weekend. This is a great choice for a visit to Killington. read more

Snowed Inn - Snowed Inn night view! - Hotels Near Me - Killington, Vermont

My husband and I stayed at The Snowed Inn from a Friday to Sunday. The new owners have done work to the inn and it feels even more homey than it did before. Carolyn was extremely welcoming when we first arrived and made us feel right at home. The spread in the mornings for breakfast was great! Carolyn and her husband ken were very warm and welcoming and open to sharing any knowledge around the area that they could! We spent the days skiing and really just slept there are night. Our only complaint was that the room was very warm at night and we didn't have control over the temperature. With that being said, the one complaint outweighs the positive experience. We will be back! read more

Loved it here! The inn is extremely well-maintained, and you feel at home from the moment you walk in. We arrived after-hours, but found everything we needed and got settled in without a problem. The staff is extremely friendly, and they kept a toasty fire going in the walk-around wood-burning fireplace in the lounge every evening we were there. Our room was very clean and cozy - the gas fireplace in our room worked like a charm! - and the bed was extremely comfortable. When we did turn down room service, the staff respected our privacy and always left a basket of extra toiletries, etc., just outside our door. The location is perfectly convenient to the Killington base just a few minutes up the road by car, and it's in a very quiet area away from the main road, but not too far, so it's easy enough to find. Breakfasts were especially delicious! Great coffee, and the make-them-yourself waffles are easy enough for a child to make and a must-have. Really great! They also had fresh fruit, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, cereal, granola, toast, juice, etc. And check-in and check-out were a breeze. Kudos to the innkeepers & staff! Next time we come back to Killington, this is our place! read more

First of all, let me preface the by saying that I'm a germaphobe. I had never stayed in a bed-and-breakfast for fear that it would feel I'm staying in someone's grandma's spare bedroom. This little gem was nothing like that. A day or two before we went down, I called to ask if there where white linens on the bed (Remember I said I was a germaphobe? If all the sheets are white, I can easily spot anything gone awry. You have to think ahead lol). The owner told me that the white comforters were for the winter, but after we pulled up to the cutest, most tidy, cabin right on a super wooded backroad, greeted like old friends, taken up to our room-- all white linens and comforter!!! I was so appreciative that she went out of her way to make sure that was there! The room itself was SO clean and cute. I get so disgusted if I see any dust in a hotel room or anything to SUGGEST another human was there before me, and this room was IMMACULATE. The view from the window was nothing but beautiful, lush, greenery--so zen. In the common area there was a dining room where they served breakfast, which was fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, pastries, waffles, and hard boiled egg, which is always nice to see, if you ask me. We ate on the deck under the gazebo--another amazing feature--all surrounded by thick, green, woods and wonderful chirping wildlife. Lastly, less than a quarter mile up the road is a coffeehouse called Liquid Art--a wonderful compliment to the Snowed Inn. We only stayed for one night, but I would stay again without a bit of hesitation. read more

This is a very nice place to stay when visiting Killington. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Their breakfast includes a nice selection of cereal, waffles, bagels, english muffins, fruits and so on. It's not a huge place by any means and is essentially run by two people. You get that home made feel, which is, in my opinion better than most other larger resorts at Killington. While they do have wifi, the reception is only found in the lounge area. It wasn't a bad thing and it kept the distractions in the room low. You do get TV and some basic cable but if the weather permits I don't think you would spend too much time watching it. read more

Wonderful and cozy inn located about a 5-7 min drive from Killington Mountain. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I loved the lobby/gathering area as it had a nice fireplace to sit and in the morning you had gorgeous light coming in through windows. They also had board games for guests to use. Breakfast is an expanded continental breakfast (bagels, pastries, boiled eggs, Belgian waffles) which is simple but hearty. It will definitely keep you filled on the slopes. During afternoon they have cookies and hot drinks. Very nice touch but I do wish they offered coffee all day :( They also have a microwave and fridge to store food, but no plates, or garbage, so you have to ask staff for plates. Perhaps putting out disposable plates would be a nice addition. Our deluxe room was very nice. Fireplace was wonderful as was jacuzzi. Only complaint is that the mattress was hard and I don't think the beds are queen size as the mattress was much smaller than my bed at home which is a Queen. That's all. I would definitely come back. read more

We ended up staying here on a whim. Last minute our previously booked hotel was unable to accommodate us so we were scrambling to find another place to stay. The snowed inn exceeded our expectations and will be our new go to place to stay when visiting the area. Owners and staff are extremely welcoming, nice and helpful. What a wonderful place to spend some time! My family and I spent the weekend in Woodstock, VT for Wassail Fest at the Snowed Inn. What an experience! The rooms were beautifully decorated with a fireplace in the common room. The scents as we walked in were so inviting and the decorations were mesmerizing. There was a hot tub on a porch overlooking the wooded area, breakfast was waiting for us when we woke and the Inn Keepers made our experience one of the best we have ever had. I'm in love with this place and it's definitely our new spot! We went during August and I can't wait to visit during the winter. This place was immaculate and you could tell how well cared for it is. Our room was so comfortable and pretty. We had a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub on the second floor with a lovely balcony. The smallest details were thought about from extra blankets to a closet in the bathroom stocked with extra towels, soaps etc. the main area downstairs was always very inviting with a ton of windows and sunlight and coffee 24 hours which I appreciate. The backyard was stunning too with every flower pot placed beautifully and a ton of clean seating from picnic tables to chairs in the gazebo. My husband and I didn't think we would use the hot tub outside during a summer month but it was surprisingly cool out and after a day of mountain biking at Killington, we jumped right in. It was in perfect working condition and also looking brand new. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. It's also really close to our favorite restaurant when we visit and we were able to walk there. We really loved it! I'm just shocked I didn't find it sooner! read more

A beautiful deck with a hot tub and the sound of a running brook around back. The staff is friendly and gave great tips on things to do that enchanted the Vermont experience. We will ABSOLUTELY return to the Snowed Inn. I highly recommend it!!! read more

If you expect all the fluff & amenities of an expensive chain hotel, this place may not be for you. But if you want a totally relaxing, cozy, home-like environment with just enough "ahhhhh" moments, this is the place to chill at a reasonable rate! The owners & staff make themselves available as needed. They even provided helpful restaurant recommendations for Killington & Burlington. Delightful warm breakfast in the morning, warm cookies in the afternoon, newly remodeled facility, WONDERFUL new beds, peaceful area with a bubbling brook outside my window, quiet mini-split heat pumps in each room. We spent 4 nights there and left fully refreshed. Need I say more than "we'll be back!" read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend while we skied at Killington. Hotel has a very warm cozy family feeling. The Inn is family owned and operated and everyone was friendly. Hot tub was clean, bed was comfortable, and continental breakfast also consisted of some home-baked goods. The only down fall of our stay was the shower head, which felt more like a hose. We are looking forward to staying here next year when we ski Killington. read more

Drove up to Killington for a few days to do some snowboarding. Did a lot of research before picking a place and I'm very happy we did! We had such a great experience with the Snowed Inn. They even have a hallway where you can leave your gear and a fridge for anything you need to keep cold. Our room was very cozy and had a fireplace! Stayed one night at the Snowed Inn during a December ski trip to Killington. This is listed as a B&B - I'd say it's more like a small inn. The location is excellent - on a street off the Access road. Were the weather warmer it would have been possible to walk to dinner, pick up groceries, or get coffee. It's a short drive to most of the restaurants/bars on the road. The inn itself was very charming - festively decorated for the holidays. We sat by the fire in the lobby and had a glass of wine before we went to bed. There's a small outdoor hot tub available but we didn't use it. Our room was simple but clean and warm and the bed was comfortable. It was fairly loud at times - we were on the first floor in a room closest to the lobby and could hear people coming and going, the music playing in the lobby and the footsteps and murmuring of the people in the room above us. Depending on your plans and room location this may not be an issue but something to be aware of. Knocked off a star because of the noise but would stay here again during future trips to Killington. read more

This place is on the more expensive side of available hotels/ b&b. We were given a Master Suite that consisted of a large living/ kitchen area that was unusable because it had not air conditioning and was about 90 degrees. The bedroom had an air conditioner that could barely keep up however made it impossible to sleep as it was so loud. Furthermore the parking lot flood light shined into the bedroom all night and no blackout curtains to speak of. To finally top things off the "queen bed" was not a real queen and could hardly fit the two of us. In summary the 1980s style room was a complete rip off. In the morning I went downstairs and told the owner, Manfred that I wanted to check out a day early as the accommodations were terrible. He told me I would have to come back at noon to speak to the manager, Shannon. I asked him if I could have Shannon's number to which he responded that I could not because it was private. Fair enough, but could he call Shannon for me and I could talk to her? He said that he would not disturb her that early? What?! Isn't this a hotel? Shouldn't there be a manager on duty somewhere? And besides isn't Manfred the owner? Couldn't he just help me? He told me that if I didn't like that the "door was that way." This is the worst rip off, horrible place with the worst service in Killington. I think Manfred's wife must be struggling to keep the place operating while Manfred continues to alienate the hotels customers. I would not stay here again and if you do, look out for Manfred - you will be able to tell who he is by the look of nastiness and contempt for you as soon as you walk through the door. read more

What a wonderful place! Stayed here with my family for a night for a wedding. Carolyn, the owner was amazing. Let us check in early and left the lights on when we returned quite late. You stay at an Inn to enjoy the comfort and relaxation of a warm fire and friendly hosts. Not here. Day to day operation is managed by a twenty-something couple. While the wife was charming and welcoming, her husband was unaccommodating and rude. The inn itself is bit worn and the accommodations do not comport with the hefty price tag. But it was the lack of customer service focus and surly attitude of the male host that were most disappointing. We arrived to find a nice fire going in the lounge area. Perhaps the nicest feature of the inn. I woke early the next morning, and had an hour to kill before my kids were awake and ready to ski. A morning fire would have been really nice. Even though I offered to build it myself, I was told no. Too much trouble as guests would be leaving to go skiing. The Inn was full, and I'm sure everyone would have appreciated a fire going at breakfast. Maybe midweek with an empty hotel you wouldn't want to bother, but certainly the minimal effort to have a fire would be well worth it with a full compliment of guests on a prime winter weekend. As we were suiting up, I discovered my daughter's ski gloves were wet. I asked to put them in the dryer for 10 minutes and was stunned to be told no, we have no dryer -- you can go to the laundramat a mile down the road. Seriously? Of course there was a dryer (and it was not in use for the Inn's sheets and towels), but this simple request was summarily denied. With attitude. A friendly dog walked the Inn and took a liking to one of my daughters. The dog followed her outside as she was loading the car. She was chastized by the male host on account of his free-ranging dog: "that's why we close the door around here." Our family loves dogs, and we certainly enjoy having them around, but if you're going to get surly and upset about your dog wandering about, don't leave him unleashed in the common area of the Inn. The whole experience fell short of the charming and friendly New England Inn experience you are expecting when you book this kind of place. The male host needs remedial training or needs to find a new line of work outside the customer service industry. read more

Have stayed at this place for several years during a long weekend in winter to ski nearby at Killy or Pico. The place is clean, functional, hot tub included, just off the Killy access road and gives a great breakfast, (needed fuel for skiers!) paying attention to gluten free/dietary issues. The previous ownership always kept this place up and the new owners are also wonderful and added some nice touches. I loved our fireplace room. The place is spotless in these pandemic times. Best wishes to the new owners and hope to see you again next year during our annual ski weekend up north. One final note, they set social distancing very nicely. Tables at breakfast were scattered about in a lovely arrangement nicely separated, They had a sign up sheet for tub, private only. Well done! read more

My wife and I spent several nights before Christmas this year and, despite having stayed at Killington hundreds of times, this was my first time there. When I provide reviews, I always list pros and cons. Pro's: In short, it's a family-owned smaller lodge just off the access road. Uncertain as to how many rooms exist (15 perhaps?); ours was great #200, upstairs. It has a deck - unfortunately unusable as it's locked past 3 inches. It has a wonderful gas fireplace. In fact, I wouldnt stay in any room without one. We also had a whirlpool, although we didn't use it. The owners are lovely. Period. Breakfast is great, especially the waffles. There is a nice looking hot tub just off the main room and a quaint solarium which is enjoyable for breakfast. The property is VERY close to the market, Wobbly Barn, Jax and the Pickle Barrel. There are plenty of places to order in should you elect to stay at "home". Reasonably priced, even during peak holiday season. Cons (notice this is a short list): The property (common areas and bedrooms) is kept at a very warm temperature. Add fireplace heat and the rooms get very hot. Our phone didnt work, but then again, who cares. The tv and internet are robust and fast. 2 THUMBS UP! read more

I normally stay at chain hotels. My husband convinced me to try a bed and breakfast type of lodging. The Snowed Inn turned out to be a perfect place to stay (we checked in on 10/30/21 and checked out on 11/1/21). The grounds and the inside decor are very appealing to me as nothing is overdone and nothing is lacking. Our room was extremely clean and everything we needed was provided. Everything was in working order and in good condition. The dining area (and there is also a bar) was spacious enough so that all guests eating breakfast at the same time had plenty of room between tables and the breakfast choices provided (we had waffles, a toasted bagel, sweet bread, oatmeal and hard boiled eggs over the course of our stay) were really tasty. The coffee provided is also very good and available throughout the day. I guess the true test of how good the experience was is an affirmative answer to the question "would you come back to this place again?". Count us in, we would definitely stay again with Ken and Carolyn. read more

My wife and I stayed 2 nights to ski Killington. We loved the place. The owners, Jeanne and Manfred were very accommodating, and helpful. They know the area, and are happy to make suggestions. The inside feels like home, with local art on the walls. You'll also see photos of Manfred, who must've been an accomplished skier in his day. There's a community fridge, ice maker, microwave. They also have really good coffee available all the time. And free, home-made chocolate chip cookies mid-day til 6. The breakfast is very good, especially considering the cost of the stay. Make your own belgian waffles, fresh fruits and pastries, bagels, cereals, granola and yogurt. Snowed Inn is also very close (within a mile?) to pubs, restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. There's also a very cool market / gift shop at the bottom of the street. It's also a 5 minute ride to Killington. I've seen other reviews talk about how warm it is. And it is. Hardly a negative on a chilly winter night. The windows in the rooms open. If you'd like to spend a few days in an Inn that feels like New England (and my wife and I are New Englanders), I'd recommend Snowed Inn. We will definitely be there next year. By the way, if you love pizza, iPie Pizza delivers to your room. I'd also give the pizza 4 stars. read more
