    Pesto gnocchi
    Ami I.

I am reviewing the restaurant only, as we have never stayed in the inn, but have visited the restaurant numerous times. Bill and Mary have created an amazing dining experience in a area that lacks fine dining. The food, service, and ambience are excellent. Since the menu changes frequently, I cannot comment on all the dishes, but can discuss what we had on our most recent trip. Appetizers included the duck, spinach and strawberry salad, escargot, and cheese plate. I did not sample any, but family said duck was great, as was the salad. The spinach was slightly wilted, which gave it a delicateness that it rarely has. Dressing as great as well. Escargot were not excellent. They were adequate flavor-wise, but grainy in texture. For entrees, my family had the rack of lamb, vegan stuffed bell pepper served on a bed of mashed potatoes. and pesto gnocchi. All were excellent. Tiramisu as well. This place is not cheap, but the pleasant, romantic, yet surprisingly not pretentious atmosphere, in combination with the attentive service and excellent food make it worth it. For food, dessert, wine($80), and a few drinks, the price was $350 including tax and tip for four people.

    Herb crusted rack of lamb

The food was fantastic! We ordered the rack of lamb and the duck breast. Both were very tender and well seasoned! Our waitress was very kind. The atmosphere was very laid back and our server was very nice. I would come back!

    Fire pit area

Bill and Mary are the hosts with the most. The Inn is adorable, clean, and felt safe during COVID-19. The rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurants food was delicious, a little expensive but we enjoyed the food and drinks. The Old Fashioned was 20 dollars but absolutely delicious. The fire pit outside was fun to hang out around. It was the perfect location for a ski trip to killington!

It's so beautiful and romantic at night!

The people were very nice, the service good but it was like dining in the 70's both food and decor.

We had quite a few emails go back and forth with lots of little questions because I wanted everything to go well for our family get together. I often got responses back in a few hours or less. The house is within a few miles of the ski areas in Killington. We spent an afternoon taking a ride up Mt Killington in the gondolas, visited Thundering Falls just down the road a little, and did some shopping in Woodstock. Around the house itself we played whiffle-ball and corn-hole --which are long time family traditions. The living room was big enough for all of us to sit and talk, and we even held a surprise bridal shower for one of our nieces. Some watched the soccer games on one of the large TVs, while others played board games and others played ping pong. That was really nice--we all had room to be together, yet many nooks and crannies to be in smaller groups. It was the perfect setting for us to spend quality time together. There are two sizeable kitchens will all you need to prepare meals. All 28 of us were able to sit together in the dining area. There are 12 bedrooms--which worked great for us since me and my 3 siblings have a number of married kids. The rooms were all spacious and most beds were either queen size or king size (a must for some of us tall Dutch people). Many rooms had their own bathrooms, and some had shared. Though not planned to coincide with the reunion, my wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary that week -- we honeymooned exactly 35 years prior in Vermont, but had not been back since. We we reminded how peaceful and gorgeous Vermont is!

We had kids, parents and grandparents and there was something for everyone. The kids loved the game room downstairs and I think everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Probably the best part was being 5 minutes from Pico Mountain and 5 minutes from Killington! It was pretty cool keeping our ski gear in the special cubbies the owner built to hold everything. Can't wait to go back!

I called the 1-800 number and no one answered. Thankfully, David from the property had emailed me a few days prior because they changed my room and his personal number was in his signature. He gave me the correct code to get in. Who knows how long I would have been standing outside at night waiting if I didn't have his direct cellphone number. This was after I slipped and had a horrible fall on the icy walkway directly in front of the units. My knees are literally aching, swollen and black and blue. This made skiing the next morning quite painful. I also injured one of my hands. I emailed photos of the injury and was essentially told by Barbara "sorry..." and "...bad weather is expected..." I think safety should also be expected. They were unwilling to offer any sort of remedy for the injury and inconvenience the fall caused. The close proximity to the mountain is not worth the trouble. Stay elsewhere if you can.
