Very misleading no pool but theres plenty of pictures of pools! Very disappointing since was bringing toddler to swim! But the "lady flat out suggested a hot tub while holding my 1 year old like really?! Check in and they tell me room is ready and not ready get in and told no crib but again states they give you cribs! They gave me a broken pack and play for my toddler! I have stayed at Killington enough snowboarding and wish I looked more into reviews for this place! Only pro was the bed was comfortable.

Decent sized hotel right next to Killington ski area. There's nothing special about the rooms or amenities, the proximity to the mountain is the draw. We went in February of 2022, so I'm going to give them a pass of being lightly staffed. Half the time I went by the front desk I had to wait for someone to notice me. The restaurant and bar were closed and there was no maid service in the rooms. All of this was during peak season. They have a large outdoor hot tub that was open and I was glad for the relief of sorely worked legs after a day of skiing. The indoor pool was closed and drained as many other hotels during the pandemic. I'd guess about 2/3rds of rooms have balconies but calling them balconies is a bit grandiose. They're more like walkways about 4 feet wide that just about fit a chair. It's not a bad place, but next time I'll look around to see if there are better alternatives.

I stayed at this hotel in September 2022. The rooms were dirty, water undrinkable, and bedding insufficient. Hope they've gotten better since last year.

    6 in each!

Thank you Joe for making accommodations for the Harley's in your ski locker rooms! Maybe next time the pool could be open..... :)

For the $380 spent on a single night is this place you could have had a far superior experience for two night in any Holiday Inn or Best Western in the world. The shower head in our room is so full of crud that it barely works. There is a window screen in the corner of our room for no apparent reason. The continental breakfast is oatmeal, oranges and yogurt. That's it. The Hot water carafe was full, but did not work. So much for oatmeal. The coffee tasted like it was made with water from our shower head and a week old mop bucket. We called the front desk (cause it was unattended) and they said "we know" when we told them about the hot water and coffee, and "it's a continental breakfast..." when we told them that they only had oranges oatmeal and yogurt. Holiday Inn in Killington has eggs, waffles, pastries, bagels, toast, coffee, juice, tea and hot water as well as snack bars to take with you. The Mountain Lodge staff should spend a night there. Oh and this was Saturday morning at 7:30 am. I could see if it was monday, but Saturday morning in Killington during ski season! Are you kidding me? an unattended desk and a breakfast spread that a death row inmate would turn his nose up at is your idea of service? For $380 a night? Better hotels than yours have closed during the pandemic, how do you stay open? Well dear reader it is time now for pictures, you don't have to take my word for it:

    Blaring light at 6am!

3 stars is pretty accurate! Hotel itself looks decent, Hallways look recently redone and rooms were ok as well. Front desk staff were fine. Big hot tub is always great after a day of skiing. Place lost points for a few annoying things. There was a huge sky light in our bedroom with no curtain. Literally right over our beds so blaring light at the crack of dawn...brutal! They offered breakfast in our package. Too bad it's a crappy continental breakfast with few choices and mostly sugary garbage. Of course they have a bigger full breakfast...Literally 4 hot items for 22$! If you can stay here in the cheap, I guess go for it, if you can find something closer with better amenities then venture on.

The toilet looks clean this year. Looks like they just did a remodel. Also no more warning for you must brush teeth with bottled water. Front desk is staffed with two people.

Meanwhile outside the bar on the 1st floor (near the hot tub)

The outdoor heated pool and game room on the first floor were definite highlights, especially for the kids! We loved being able to relax and play after a day of exploring. The on-site restaurant was another big win. It was busy when we arrived, so we placed our order with the hostess and hit the pool for an hour & they delivered to our room. The burger, fries, and chicken strips were all solid, but the Brussels sprouts and cheese curds? OMG. So good. We charged it all to the room, which was a nice option. Breakfast the next morning was fresh and filling--think granola, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, muffins, danishes, OJ, coffee, and even make-your-own hot cocoa. Simple, but plenty to start the day right. Other perks: Free parking Great location (just minutes from Killington Resort) A market and deli nearby (3 or so miles) fresh food & hot food ready to go and market/beer/deli Other restaurants and endless trails in the area We especially recommend Thundering Falls, a beautiful hike Check for Live music The staff was super helpful and friendly. I appreciated being able to text with Valerie at the front desk, she sent a thoughtful welcome message and shared great local ideas. Thanks, Valerie! Our room was clean and comfortable. The ambiance was very memorable -- from the adorable covered bridge you drive through, to the architecture of the inn, to the sweet greeting from innkeeper Bill. We visited around Christmastime during Covid-19, so Killington wasn't as busy as I'm sure it usually is. We had the choice of eating in the dining room or in their lounge in front of the HUGE and beautifully decorated tree. Christmas music was softly playing, and the romantic cabin aesthetic really made me feel like I was living in a real life Hallmark movie. The food was good, not SUPER memorable, but very yummy. We had the brie (my favorite), ravioli and NY strip steak. Overall, the experience was fantastic for our anniversary. Try it out!

I read several reviews in advance and to be honest based on what I read I was nervous but we were ultimately very pleased with our stay. If like me you have read a lot of the other reviews, let me address the cons that were listed by others. After staying here, I felt like other reviewers are honestly just jerks. The water- yes the tap water has a mineral smell to it but there is fresh drinking water provided in the lobby from a water cooler. You can fill water bottles or there are plenty of cups provided. You are literally on a mountain in the middle of Vermont- the water situation is normal. The decor- yes this hotel has maintained it's old school vibe and retained a lot of original decor. That said I felt that there were many updates including newer carpet than what was pictured. I personally found it charming. I liked all the vintage pictures in the halls and the original beer bottle openers in the rooms. The tv in our room was new. The beds were firm but we prefer that so it wasn't an issue. There was a mini fridge that was newer and clean. Cleanliness- our room was extremely clean. I stayed at a Hilton last month and felt our room at the Cascades was cleaner. Staff- extremely friendly and kind. Answered all of my questions politely. Price- this was an extremely affordable hotel for the location. That said, we booked on a day when I believe rooms were priced to sell. I looked up the regular rates and I think it still would have been priced competitively based on the surrounding options. They do charge extra for more than 2 people per room which wasn't an issue for us. I suspect that they do this to avoid large groups booking one room for a bunch of people- which I personally appreciate as I can imagine that could become obnoxious. We drove up for an impending snow storm and the location made this hotel worth every penny as we were able to roll out of bed early- drive 1 minute up the access road to park in the k-1 lot and get in line in time for 1st chair. There is also a shuttle to the mountain. TL;DR- don't listen to all the nasty reviews, if you don't mind an old school ski hotel, this is a clean and warm place to stay close to the lifts.
