All the hotdogs on the menu are $8 each except the French Dip $9 and the Carolina $10. When making it a combo (add FF and a drink) add $7 more. My total was $23 for 2 hotdogs, a drink and a FF. The NYC had onions and sauerkraut, the Local had blended queso w/ground beef. The Philly has peppers, onions and provolone, and the Chicago had veggies. All the dogs tasted good cuz they're Nathan's, the bread used was fresh, FF were tasty, the wieners could be hotter (temperature wise) upon serving. And there could be more ground beef in the queso on the Local dog. The sodas have the good ice...soft airy crunchy. The menu offers other items, chicken tenders, sliders, grilled cheese, frito pie, salads, deviled eggs, fried cheese curds, fried pickles, etc They have several beer choices, frose', wine and frozen margaritas (made with wine) Connected to restaurant is their snow cone place. We had recently watched the show featuring the restaurant's renovation and realized we were only about 30 minutes away. Since I rarely get to that part of Texas, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back, the service was great, and we loved the dogs. But the unexpected highlight? The French fries--they were some of the best I've ever had! Definitely worth the stop, and we're glad we made the short detour before heading home.

We tried the Chicago Dog my husband cannot stop talking about how good it is, said he never had a hot dog before refreshing, but it was and he loves the sport peppers. Next up was the picnic which is the 4th on a hot dog, the crunch, the potato salad the beans make for one hell of a dog but beware bring your bib! The last was the Frenchman the caramelized onions on it compliment the all beef hot dog so well. The frito pie was freaking delicious the homemade beer chili was meaty with great flavor. We will definitely be going back to try more awesome dogs.

It was reminiscent of what you'd expect of a typical beach area restaurant. The cashier was very friendly and polite. The burger, yum, was cooked to perfection. I love that the sides are byo as this allows flexibility and creativity. The sweet potato and wedge fries were the perfect crispness. Definitely would recommend.

I actually stopped by to sample a corndog from the Corndog Heaven stand after an incredible experience with a similar place in Port Arthur. Using that a basis for comparison, Texas Burger and Fries is sadly less impressive. Yes, the corndogs do use a unique batter, but beyond that, there is little in the way here to recommend over James Coney Island or the sublime Corndog 7, should that ever expand elsewhere.

Still the same delicious burger with a side of fries and drink. Surprisingly, I thought the price would have gone up. You can tell its quality ingredients and made right without any frills. The fries were great as well. Shoutout to whoever was cooking today at around 2:30 PM on April 10th, 2025. Service was quick and prompt. I'll continue to make Bases a necessary stop anytime I'm in town.
