I was shocked to see this location was not on Yelp.First time trying this location. Plan on going back to try some other items.Ambience was very laid back and great service.

Was craving some Chili and found JCI Grill nearby. Went there on a Wednesday at 5:30pm. No customers were in the dining room and me and one other person who was there for an Uber eats pick up order. Asked what sizes they had for a bowl of chili? Small was ridiculously small and large wasn't that much bigger!?!? Ordered 4 large bowls of chili at about $33.00, which is pretty high for the size bowls I ordered. I also added beans and cheese for additional cost. When I got home, there was very little cheese or beans in it. Pretty disappointed. Refer to pictures for the large bowl of chili that I am referring to. Don't think I will comeback due to the actual large size bowl of chili, small additions of cheese and beans, that I paid extra for, and the cost, which was too high for what I got.

Not to be confused with the JCR at Oxford (Junior Common Room), which is anything but common, and usually doesn't have much room to speak of. There wasn't anything specifically wrong with my Chicago Dog that I got here - but there also wasn't much right with it and it definitely wasn't as good as a couple of the ones that I've had from the locations inside Houston. Still it's very cheap and I appreciate that. And you won't get better Chicago dogs than this chain in the HOU area, which is kinda a shame.

Absolutely horrible. The Manager Raul Is condescending a**hole. He couldn't get my order correct and offered my money back- didn't even try to correct it. Then he kept telling me, "No problem my friend, I love you". So the jerk said he issued me a refund, but charged me again! Then when he refunded me, it was not the correct amount. I had to argue with him to get the rest of my refund. Jerk!

Just picked up lunch here and was severely disappointed. Totals were grey brown and hard and tasted stale as they may have been reheated. Took two bites of the hot dogs. They were chewy and tasted old as well. I know onions stink, but these smelled sour immediately when opening the box. Had to just toss it.

So I was goaded by my mind, heart, and gut to have hot dogs today because America's birthday. That's how I found myself at James Coney Island. The Houston area has quite a number of James Coney Islands, but I've never ate at one until now. Before I even set foot inside this location in Webster, I was next door at Pappa's BBQ. The latter slightly deceived me with its marquee announcing $7.95 lunch specials; there weren't any because of the holiday. Okay, so what did I order here? A Hungry Man Combo and a Chicago Dog that set me back around 20 bucks. I regret to inform anyone that the combo is synonymous with mediocrity. When I bite into a Texas style hot dog, I expect to be mesmerized by searing hot yet flavored-packed chili and melting, tongue-scalding cheese. Sadly, I ate two so-called Texas dogs that I myself could've done a better job at making. The fries were equally underwhelming in the taste department. But thank Jesus the Chicago dog met my culinary expectations. It had everything: yellow mustard, chopped white onions, bright green sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices, pickled sport peppers and a dash of celery salt. Each bite had me thinking about rides on the El and visits to Wrigley Field. Note to self: order more than one Chicago red hot should I ever come back here.

This place has a good variety of different hot dogs. The buns are so soft. They almost melt in your mouth. The chilly was pretty bland even looking very seasoned.

I ordered a double single protein style burger no tomato, side of animal fries and a 7-up, spread and mustard on the side. The guy who helped me place my order was super nice and helpful. Both the cashier and girl who handed me my food looked like they really didn't want to be there. The food: there in fact was tomato in my burger, no biggie, I pulled out the two big slices. I'm sure some seed or something stayed behind because I could still taste the tomato which I hate tomatoes. The meat not cooked all the way through and did not even receive the spread or mustard. The 7up tasted flat and almost like it was mixed with something sweet, maybe lemonade?! I dont know ! Overall, not the best first time experience. Not sure if I'll be back, it was a 50 minute drive from my home.

So if you're looking for a decent fried chicken sandwich or breakfast sandwich, this is a nice change from the other major chicken sandwich chain. I recommend getting the chicken, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. This location has been open less than a week (as of today, 11.21.25) so the employees are still running slightly slow and making mistakes. But, more than likely, it will get better. Bottom line - Decent breakfast sandwiches but no bone-in chicken. 3 stars. Bon appétit, y'all.

I can't speak on the ambiance of the dining room, because this was a to-go order. Despite that the website -- based on my location -- showed bone-in chicken as an option, the lady at the drive-thru was polite in delivering the bad news. That said... This joint was out of mashed potatoes at around 6:30 on a weeknight. These are instant potatoes. Why? The mac & cheese was OK; the slaw was better than most, because the cabbage wasn't finely sliced; and the dirty rice was somewhat flavorful but gummy. If the biscuits here are "famous," it's only because they are spongy. I made better biscuits when I was a 12-year-old on a Boy Scout campout. -- The chicken strips are fine. Nothing memorable, but served fresh on my visit. The management at this location isn't the greatest. Perhaps they were having a bad day. More importantly, the person in the corporate marketing department who decided that bone-in chicken shouldn't be an option in this neck of the woods might want to collaborate with colleagues at other chicken chains that have realized great national success AND include strips on the menu. But, if you look at the history of Bojangles, you'll see that this company has passed through more hands than a deck of cards at a poker table. Good luck enjoying the offerings here.

Whataburger versus In-N-Out Burger…read more... I had a wonderful experience last week to have both Whataburger and In-N-Out Burger. So what is better? After dining at both restaurants, I will share my thoughts and my selection, but you should try both and have some fun. I do not live in Texas anymore and thoroughly miss Whataburger. In my travels if there is a Whataburger in the area, I would choose that over most Berger joints. Why? Whataburger flame broiled burger is cooked when you place your order, I found the size of their burger bigger than In-N-Out Burger. Condiments, bun, fries are about the same. Though I did notice the hand cut french fries at In-N-Out are pretty darn good. Where Whataburger definitely makes better onion rings. In-N-Out Burger's are also cooked when you placed your order. Both are juicy and both have good flavor. Both tailor, the burger with condiments that you want, cheese,, onions, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, pickles, you get to pick. I feel that both burgers use a good bun and cook it as you would expect. Juicy and delicious Where I found a difference is that In-N-Out Burger has some catchy Marketing request like an animal burger, so you have to know the secret handshake. Whataburger is a little more traditional. They just make very good hamburgers. If you're looking for ketchy West Coast fu-fu Marketing then enjoy a In-N-Out Burger, you won't be disappointed. However, if you're looking for a better burger in size and flavor, I lean to Whataburger while they are not. " ketchy" you can't go wrong with a Whataburger. Don't forget to order the onion rings they compliment the burger well So my choice... Whataburger wins over In-N-Out Burger.
