Yesterday was my first time in snipes sneaker store on jamaica Avenue.This store is very spacious with a lot of sneakers. For men and women girls and boys. They also have a decent selection of urban clothing. Snipes also has a cool baseball cap selection for all you guys who like to buy and reselling caps online or wherever. Now if you like Jordan's, nike, air max in different colors. I have to admit the store has a really nice shoe game.Their shoes are kinda pricey. So for all you shoe heads,shoe collectors ,sneaker flippers. This is a good spot for yall.you might find some kicks some body been looking for and make a profit. Walking in, I was immediately met by a kind faced young man who greeted me most sincerely, looking to send me in the right direction. Unfortunately, there were no golf shoes to be had here, yet I was impressed by the stores hyper focus on customer service, and not in an intrusive way. The store is best approached by walking in three lanes, front to back as there are no obstructions and the perusing walk flows well with this approach. Both sides hold men's and women's sneakers against the wall on their little platforms, making each so easy to look at and very interactive, minus trying them on. Two other sales reps approached my and in similar fashion, greeted me and inquired if there was anything they could assist me with. Again, no pressure -- all wanted too ensure that they were there if I needed them. Each offered possible solutions to me locating a local store that had what I was shopping for. Each sales representative took the time to go beyond where they needed to go with me and it really impressed me. When the time comes for a new sneaker purchase, I will be most certainly come back because unlike many stores these days, you do not get good treatment. Came at 3am for the Satin SBB Jordan release and there was 7 people in line. (Meaning I'm #8) throughout the morning, a lot of people started showing up and standing near the front. It turns out the people who were #1, #2, & #3 made an entire list of people (all their friends). They were bullies and formed their own line, & the manager actually respected their line while we the people spoke up the truth. The manager announced that there were only 24 pairs available, went inside, and came back out & announced there were now 20 pairs available for the 'public' when it was actually for the people with a fake list and the manager seemed to know a lot of them and really respected their wishes. When the manager was asked about the change in pairs available, she openly said her employees needed theirs & her mans too. The police even showed up and no justice was served. Thank you KicksUSA for killing my time, when I should've gotten a pair because I was truthfully #8 in line. You can even see the manager (in the black tee shirt) helping set up that line with the fake list and telling the campout line (the side I was on) to stay out & relax. Walked in. Middle-aged woman greets me at the door. I ask if they've got Chuck 2's. She doesn't know, points to their Chucks section. Sales associate there doesn't know what Chuck 2's are either... Even after I describe them in detail. Like they're some fabled sneaker... "You're looking for the Chuckers?" she said to me... Yeah. Thanks for your help. I think I got it from here. I look around for a bit... No Chuck 2's obviously. I leave. Usually when shopping I'm in and out. I don't deliberate really. If I want something, i go and get it. and for a sneaker store on the Ave, you can't slip up, cause there's so many sneaker stores to choose from. On June 18, at noon, my wife, who was head covered; has a clear accent, tried to enter Snipes shoe store, Steinway St branch in Astoria, Queens, but she was denied entry by the door woman, then the manager came to her and also denied her entry because my daughter, who's less than 2 years old, wasn't wearing a face mask, however the governor's executive order exempts less than 2 years individual from wearing a mask. They yelled and shouted in a threatening way and told her that anyway they don't have the old stuff that people like my wife want to buy. At 6:11 PM the same day I went back by the toddler without a mask on her and surprisingly the same store manager allowed us entry and I also noticed another older kid without a mask on. But, after he saw my wife again, he yelled at us and asked us to leave in a humiliating way because the toddler had no mask on however, he already let me in when I was pushing the toddler's stroller and he was at the door and definitely saw the toddler without a face mask on. Even though I told him that I called the Governor's and Mayor's office to confirm that the Governor's Executive Order 202.16 exempts individuals who are less than age two from wearing a face cover, he insisted on throwing my wife, toddler, and myself outside of the store as if we're shoplifters. Note: My wife had the toddler's Passport ID that proves that she's less than two years of age and offered to show it, but also she was denied entry. Moreover, the lady that was on the door spit on my wife, which was so humiliating. I just left this store with a friend and there was literally 1 other customer by herself and we saw at least 3 associates (1-folding merchandise by the door, 2-behind the register & a tall guy leaning over a rack talking to the associates behind the register) and no one greeted us, asked if we needed assistance, or said bye to us. At one point we were in the same section and we all talked about how horrible the service was and decided to just leave without buying anything. I work in customer service and these associates may be in the wrong profession, because common sense would say to greet someone.
