Best burger I've had in a while. Just the right amount of fries. Delicious old fashioned. Service was excellent. We'll be back.

This tiny place known for their namesake mini patty melts on homemade brioche has gotten bigger and expanded the menu. But the beef is still the reason I come. Butter is collateral (and arterial) damage. -- Snappy Pattys: Thin patties of beef get griddled and placed between slices of bread no thicker than your finger and no wider than a KFC biscuit. You'll taste the condiment configuration of choice (I like the Texan for its zippy bacon-laced melted cheese), but you'll taste butter first and foremost, which can be daunting. The surfaces of the bread don't get much browning and the beef was less beefy and less seasoned than I remember from a few years back. Although these never blow me away, they're a nice little novelty that's always worth a taste. -- Patty Melt: The full size format offers a third of a pound of beef (looked thicker) between larger slices of the same type of bread. Not much outer texture or browning, but the interior was moist. Minimal beef flavor, with butter again on overdrive-- much too much of it-- but this time mitigated by the complementary flavors (according to the menu, roasted chili & bacon sauce, tomato, iceberg, blue cheese & avocado aioli). Still enjoyable, though the lack of browning (on bread and beef) and the veering of the ingredients from traditional (no caramelized onion, no rye) kept it from scratching that patty melt itch. Nice place, and I've enjoyed previous visits. And the fried chicken as well as the namesake mini melts. But the quest for the elusive killer patty melt continues. read more

The service was solid and attentive with waters being filled throughout the meal. Lots of seating! I got the chicken and waffles. The breading was crunchy and good flavor. The chicken was very moist and tasty. The waffles are a little sweet for me, and a little clumpy consistency, but the chicken made up for it. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I tried it three times. But things for me always seemed to be off. I tried the regular burger. I tried the sliders trio (bbq, Texan, and Mexican). But the beef in the burger itself always tasted kind of funky and not right -- not like spoiled or anything, just odd. The staff and the regulars were very friendly and nice. Regularly eat brunch there. Comprehensive menu, nice folks, good drinks, and kid-friendly. A nice comfotable, relaxing spot. Food is excellent and generous portions. Don't go. I want to be sure of getting a table! I appreciate that the waitstaff is efficient, none of the "hi I'm Amy and I'll be your server today," If you want to top off your coffee, you just get anyone's attention. They don't hover over you every other minute asking how is the food. I hate that. read more

I have never written a bad restaurant review before, but this place deserves it. The fried chicken was inedible. The dark meat contained hard bits of marrow -- and the fries were so salty my wife couldn't eat them. We had to ask for basic things like utensils and napkins, and the owner, who was extremely snappy (perhaps that's where "Snappy Patty" gets its name), was downright rude. In over 60 years of dining out, I've never had such a poor experience or worse food. I honestly don't know how this restaurant stays in business. You've been warned!II. P.S. We live around the corner from Snappy Pattys and we go at least twice a month since we moved here in 2023. I am surprised by the low reviews so feel like giving a shout out to our local spot. The service is usually fast and friendly. We bring our 4 year old who loves the mini grilled cheese and the snappy patty sliders. We usually ask the to bring it out right away and it's usually out within 10 minutes. I also love that they have the mini sliders because I'm usually craving a few bites of a burger but don't want to commit to a regular sized one. My fav is the Californian. Other favorites are beet salad which comes in a tasty yogurt and my husband usually gets the fish tacos, pasta primavera, or one of the tasty chicken sandwiches. I recently got the turkey BLT, which was also delish. The tomato soap is hearty and hits the spot on a cold night. They have rotating beers on draft and in the summer we hit up c.b. Scoops across the street. They have the bar and dining area separate so it stays cozy. All around, a nice family friendly local spot. Recommend going before 7 if you're gonna bring kids. read more

Friend ordered the fish tacos, came with three very tiny but she said they were tasty. I had a burger (can't recall name), but it was thin patties with blue cheese and bacon jam on grilled Texas toast. It was very tasty (but the bacon jam overpowered all other flavors). Would have preferred a thicker patty. Quality place, but not noteworthy. read more

My husband and I both enthusiastically agreed that this was the best food we've had in a while. Seriously the food hit every mark. The chicken was incredible quality with a delicious brine, and the French fries were perfectly crispy and salty. The drink was AMAZING (the server told us they infuse their own vodka). The service was always prompt, attentive, friendly, and fast. The outside area was adorable - twinkle lights and a large screen TV playing Hulu. We were so happy to sit outside with our baby and Frenchie. There were 3 other children and babies outside so it was a very welcoming environment for families. We live in Lynn and were just passing through the area but we both agreed we'd make the drive just to come here. We loved this gem and can't wait to come back! read more

I'm on a special diet program and had a salad and asked for plain grilled chicken on it. I asked ahead if it was plain and was assured it was. When it arrived it clearly was not plain. This is really 3.5 stars. Casual, upbeat atmosphere, nice staff, good burger. The fish tacos were lacking -- skimpy on the fish so much so that we couldn't see the fish underneath the greens, and corn would have been better than flour tortillas. Prices were also high, which the restaurant acknowledged wrt to the burger in particular, but 16 for the fish tacos which in total had probably a 1/5 pound of fish in them total is too much. They also do not serve dessert besides a Belgian waffle. read more

Have been coming here for about a year or two now regularly and the male bartender has typically been nice. Today went there and I was going to meet my party who had already been seated, after telling him I was meeting people already sitting he stood about one inch away from me and looked down at me in a very threatening way asking me where I thought I was going. After meeting my party, we were all so upset about what he had done to me that we got up and left. I appreciated that I could try three different burgers with the Snappy Patties, but none of them were really fantastic. Just wanted to share an experience yesterday at Snappy Patty's (where I generally go and love them, so this was both surprising and annoying). We went at 12:15 with a hungry 4 year old. There were three other tables there with customers one of 3 like us and one of 7. We ordered the second we sat down (mostly fast items like an egg and cheese sandwich, beignets, and waffles). We also ordered coffees and a juice for a our kid. It took 10 minutes just to get the coffees and our juice order for our kiddo was wrong. Then the waitress came over to verify our order - as in she hadn't even put it in yet. We asked how long it would be and she said 15-20 minutes for our food. We left. I'm sort of astounded that she didn't put the order in right when we gave it to her and she couldn't name what the delay was in the kitchen when we asked why our food which was fairly quick order was delayed. Again, I'm normally a regular customer- I love their fish tacos. But this really annoyed me and leaving with a grumpy kid as without my egg and cheese also made me further annoyed. read more

Slow service. Oversalted, overpriced food. I had the $14 beet salad which was basically just beets out of a can, the salmon was oversalted and so was the grilled cheese. Bad music, there was an f-bomb in the first song I heard and my five year old was asking about it. Also loud, bad country music. Creepy art. I posted this review on Google and they responded that I should go to an Applebee's and that I was angry and full of sh*t. Amazing that they would respond to a customer like that and I'll definitely make sure to tell everyone I know what these people are like and what my experience was like. They are really nice here- great service. We got fried chicken, snappy pattys (different choices of sliders with homemade bread), tater tots, and caesar salad. Food was incredible! Loved the atmosphere, bring harborside watching people and boats and water. My whole lobster dinner was delicious.,

This spot surprised me! Bright, fun colors from the inside jumped out and drew my interest. We were greeted, given a quick overview of the place, and decided to get a table outside. Which is always nice to have that option! We started with cocktails and mocktails, delicious, which set the tone for a great meal. Service was spot on, attentive, but not too pushy, I like it like that. Our server was very knowledgeable about their menu. The menu was FUN and even better... the food was sooo good!! The combination of flavors was well thought out and the menu offered something delicious for everyone. I LOVED their menu! If I'm ever in town again, I'll be stopping here for sure. Great ambience and smiling staff. The folks are really nice out here. They do not have a whole lot of beer thing going on however the choices are really wide and great options. Yet to try their cocktails but the sliders are good. Their portion is actually good and even I sometimes worry I won't be able to finish off esp if having an appetizer. The chicken was chewy and and the burgers overdone and for those to be my first bites of the day and for me to still not be "blown away" after those first bites after feeling starved is honestly a rarity for me. I went to this establishment with my infant and his mom to get sliders. Our servers was very rude throughout the meal, at the beginning she (she never gave her name) never retrieved a high chair for our infant, after we requested a high chair. However after asking a second time she retrieved the high chair. When the waiter delivered our meal she brought tater tots rather than French fries to our table and incorrect cheeseburgers sliders. When we told the server to get the manager we found out she was the manager on duty; then she gave us an attitude in front of our baby boy. Report for head manager Server messed messed up our order and never apologized and fixed the issue of our order being incorrect and poor service and management issues. She was rude and immature how she handled the situation. read more

The chicken is boneless, has TONS of crispy buttermilk batter on it, and is fresh and hot. We didn't get a since piece that was not a bite of heaven in chicken form. Snappys is a great neighborhood restaurant that serves a nice variety of chef inspired dishes. They have a nice beer menu and the wait staff is fun and attentive. I wouldn't get the hamburger sliders but that's me. Definitely give it a try. read more

Ordered pickup through grubhub. Arrived very early but waited inside while the order was prepared. Nice space. Front and rear outdoor seating. TVs up front with bar height tables. I ordered 2 dinner burgers cooked differently with different toppings, 1 with toys and 1 with fries. The tots were crispy even after getting them back home in the rake out box. The French fries, not so much. The tasted good but were a little limp - likely from steaming in the take out box. The serving sizes were great. Unfortunately, the burgers doneness and toppings were mixed up. The burgers tasted good and were a good size, but undercooked for 1 of us and overcooked for the other. Mushrooms prevented us from just swapping burgers. Plenty other items on the menu we would like to try so we will be back. There's parking around the back. 3.5 stars. read more

I've tried Snappy's for brunch, lunch and dinner multiple times and the food just isn't that great, but it has a nice ambience to grab a drink with a friend. I live down the street, so I wish I liked the food more, but it's always over salted. I've tried the fried chicken and waffles, grilled chicken on focaccia sandwich, fish tacos and chowder - all of it very salty to me. Fish tacos did not have a lot of fish and the chowder did not have many clams. Service is friendly, but sometimes slow. I'll come back when the weather is nicer and have a drink on the patio in the back, but the food is not for me. read more
