I have 4 cars that will I will never bring here again! Was quoted an oil change + inspection... almost $200!!!! Insane!

This place sucks. I brought my car here, the people are so mean and racis. I tried coming back twice and both times they rejected to serve me, I tried doing inspection and just because I didn't have my registration.. they denied it and not even with the title of my car. They are so disrespectful. This place should not be open at all because it sucks in general. I asked to speak to the manager, and when I spoke to him he told me he didn't care.. so I do not recomm this place at all. read more

I no longer use their services. They are condescending and not very flexible. You can find better service in the area. I asked the manager if he was aware of his bad ratings and he didn't care. Another reason to look elsewhere for services. I had the rudest service. The manager lied and gaslighted me! I asked to speak to the manager and he told me to "call corporate." He did not supply the number or anything. I asked him about 10 minutes later who the manager is and he raised his right hand and said "I am." Then the manager (or self-elected manager) said I was "angry" when he in fact was the one raging and becoming hostile. He had raised his voice and become aggressive. The gaslighting was on full show. I kept my calm and simply asked questions. He did not like that I questioned him. read more

Took my car for the state inspection this morning. They failed the inspection as they alleged the windows tint was 2% off, eventhough they were factory installed and the vehicle has never failed an inspection. Took it to another professional and he measured the windows tincture in front of me.. Result: fully complaint with NC state laws. Definitively will NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I've been coming here for years to get my vehicle inspected. It's usually a quick process and close to home. I don't know if there'd been a change in management, because the place is now a pigsty! Trash overflowing, the floors thick with grime. No kick rugs by any door. Dirt and dust everywhere. read more

The first red flag for this establishment is that there are NO posted prices ANYWHERE! I had to ask the price of an oil change and was told it was over $40 (!) only after my car was on the lift. Second red flag: I have been here twice and each time I was barraged with extra services I had to have. Lights that worked before I came in mysteriously did not work when the serviceman checked them out. The service people are relentless up sellers. Their services are over-prices and dubious. You'll pay more than you want to for any service here, but they'll at least get it done quickly. That is, with the exception of the one time when it seemed to take them forever, leaving my wife and I to watch the entire infomercial for "Hip Hop Abs" in the lobby. It was one of the earlier trips here, and for some reason we came back anyway. Since then, it's been in-and-out for oil changes, radiator flushes, and inspections. So, aside from the whole "Hip Hop Abs" incident, the service has always been top notch. I usually don't mind tossing in a few extra dollars, as they tend to do better work here than at the Jiffy Lube. Honestly, I should probably just bite the bullet and change my own oil. Until I man up and start that, though, I could do worse than to keep taking the cars back here. read more

I typically get my auto work done at Auto Pro to Call (cue heavenly angels: aahhhhhhh), but in a pinch, I'll swing by Jiffy Lube or the like. This place, Snappy Lube, is a little NC chain and it's right by my house. There was no appointment needed, and no wait when I arrived, so it was all highly convenient. The lobby isn't much (though, not like I was expecting chandeliers or anything!). They finished in under 15 minutes, so no complaints there. But the total came to a surprising $40.12. Granted, this was an oil change package that came with all the usuals (inspection of transmission fluid, adjusting tire pressure etc.), but for identical service at Jiffy Lube, I can get it done with a coupon at half the price! read more

Because of their location they are less busy than jiffy lube so less time waiting:) The prices are similar to other quick lube places and they will accept jiffy lubes coupons. I love the fact that they are next to waffle house and i can have breakfast while they are changing my oil. read more

The woman behind the counter had such a bad attitude and made it clear that she really did not want to be there. So rude. And to top it off, no one was wearing masks and absolutely no COVID-19 precautions were being taken. I was not comfortable at all. No one should be giving them business if they can't even follow county and state mandates for people's safety. read more

Our first oil change they underfilled it by an entire quart. We tried a second oil change (thought we would give them another try) and they left the drain plug loose and the car dripped oil all over the driveway. When my husband saw that, that is when he checked and found the loose bolt. We called the shop to tell them about our experiences and even though my husband wasn't rude or inappropriate, the manager asked my husband if he was coming back and as soon as my husband said "No." the manager hung up on him. read more

I definitely do not recommend this place. At first they told me they wanted $69.99 for an oil change, which I thought was pretty outrageous. But then once the guy gets my car in the garage with my hood up he shows me the price and surprise it's now $82.59 and no explanation. I guess he did not want a bad review, because after I bawked about it he refused to do it. I definitely would not take my car to this place ever again. read more

I've used this service ctr. for at least 2 years, first for simply annual inspections, and more recently for minor servicing & repairs. Due to staff turnover during this time, I've worked with numerous employees--the most recent being Vick, a technician. I consider myself fairly well-informed about my autos' needs and auto servicing. I've always found the employees of this center to be courteous, accommodating, observant (of potential vehicle issues), and knowledgeable about their work. They seem to be both efficient and effective in the services they provide. I'll offer two examples. On one occasion during an annual inspection of my car, the employee noticed a badly worn belt in my engine, which he was able to replace--right before I made a long road trip. More recently, during a visit for an annual inspection and tire rotation & balance, Vick (see above) observed that my vehicle could also use a few other routine maintenance services--for which he provided evidence (e.g. dirty transmission fluid & cabin filter, and a reading indicating that my engine was running lean). While I disagreed about needing one of the services (replacement of air filter), the other recommendations seemed in order. Moreover, the prices that Vick quoted seemed very reasonable, and he was also amenable to applying a couple of other minor discounts that I inquired about. All of these services were then performed quickly & efficiently. Subsequently, I came up with some questions about the fuel intake cleaning that had been done to my car, and returned to talk to Vick about it. He very clearly answered all of my questions and even explained the particular intake cleaner product & method that was used on my car. So, I well recommend this service center for not only annual inspections & routine maintenance, but minor servicing as well. And for specific info. on minor repair and servicing, Vick is an excellent resource. read more

zero stars but Yelp does not let me score lower than 1. The tech tried to fail my car inspection because I had one of those temporary removable window tint film for babies on one window. I said "I can peel that off and on. I'll gladly peel that off now if needed." He passed it but still charged the extra 10 dollars because he said it's extra fee for tinted windows! Really? It has 4 windows and only one window beside the baby has the removable tint, and you still charge fee for tinted windows??? The only positive thing was the other tech was apologetic for the jerk she works with - and she's the only reason why my car passed inspection. read more

Horrible customer service. Technicians damaged my wife's steering wheel, admitted to her that it was not there before they changed the oil (after she noticed it when she got the car back), and then denied all involvement or admission of guilt to the district manager who basically wrote an email saying that without more proof they would not pay for damages. You have to wonder why they are never busy. They only received 1 star because YELP requires it. This will be my first FB post in years. read more

I AM PISSED! I received and oil changed from Snappy Lube on 4/03/10. 2 months later I lift my hood to find that the mechanic left a clip board and service review sheet underneath. How the hell do you not see a clip board as you are closing the hood??? Everyone of the workers were nice but, they need to slow down; just long enough not to cause damage to people's cars. Fast service is great IF the job is done correctly and professionally! I'm never waiting this long again to check under my hood!!! read more

Bait and Switch! I was told over the phone it would be $21 for an oil change. I was charged $43!!! I should have known when they don't post pricing for any of their services nor did he have a pricing sheet when I asked for it before I left. DO NOT waste your money here. I have been going here for the past two years for my annual auto inspection. They are very very quick with the inspection and I'm in and out usually within 15 minutes. I have not used this place for any other services but I recommend coming here for the state inspection. read more

Took my truck there to get inspected. He failed it for a fan belt. Wanted $80 to replace it. I had just rebuilt the engine 3 months earlier myself to include a new belt. Took it somewhere else it passed no problem. Beware they are crooks. read more

Do not go to this Snappy Lube! I took my car in for an oil change and inspection. When I went to pay, the total was over $90. The put in a "high mileage oil change" additive for $20 without asking me so my oil change was $62. Scam. Scam. Scam! I will be reporting them to the BBB if I can. read more

Stay away from this place. Had my oil changed today and it was a mess. They got oil all over my engine and it has been burning off now when I drive it. Oil leaked on my driveway when I got home and I also noticed they smudged it on my front bumper. Invoice states they performed services they did not. $45.99 is way too much for a oil change! They tried to up sell me on several things and did not seem pleased when I said no to them. Definitely will not return. read more

I used this store for 2 years with no problem for oil change, this week they suggest a bunch of oil change on the jeep, I felt for it and they did the job. Same day I had to go back because it was leaking at the transfer case, they said they damaged the gasket, another hour and 45 minutes and the said they fixed. Today 2 days later the leak is back, more money more time more agravation, of course I will not go back there for this or for any thing else. Sorry to see that, I know the owner, he has a business to run, but he may not know what is going on at that store, all I can say is, stay away from that store. Well within an hour of sending a note to contacts on their website, I got a call back from one of the managers, he convinced me to go back and fix the issue, which will be on monday now. I will give them another chance since the guys was very attentive and seemed to be true to his work and word. Stay tunned.... I will update this again. I took my Honda SUV to Snappy and received great services. Vick, who is a technician here did an excellent job in pointing out and explaining things that needs to done with an oil change. I thought at my last oil change with the dealership that they replaced my oil filters but looking at the filters it clearly it wasn't done. I admit that the oil change services is a bit higher than the dealership but the knowledge that I received about my car was worth it. Thanks Vick! read more

I would never recommend using this shop. I went in for a routine oil change last fall and the technician drained my transmission fluid instead, in essence destroying my year old car and requiring a new transmission. I incurred over 7,000 dollars in damages. Although Snappy Lube reimbursed us for some of this we have still not received full financial restitution despite formal requests. This shop's negligence was not only a major financial strain but also put the lives of our family at risk as the car stopped working on a busy interstate with children present. read more
