I had my Kia Sorrento serviced here about a month ago. They saved me so much money!!! My last oil change at another company cost me $166 and I was told my timing belt was leaking oil and it needed to be replaced, total cast was going to be $2500.00. I just had my oil change and nothing else. Then several months later I go to Snapps. I was told no leaks anywhere but that I did need new brakes and the routers resurfaced. Total cost for oil change new brakes and resurfaced routers was $600. I was so happy. I won't be going anywhere else. read more

Douglas said he had worked at the dealership so I paid him up front and left it with him yada yada yada 4 years later he tells the bureau of automotive repairs he took it apart and he can't put it back together Guess what he told me for the first three ask him if it's true every once in awhile he takes one a part doesn't put it back together and he doesn't give it back. read more

We had a great experience with Snapp's recently and have found our new mechanic. We were able to make an appointment within a couple days, to bring in our car for a non-working air conditioner and check engine light. They made the repairs, seemed to keep costs down nicely and didn't up-sell us in any way. Also Breana at the front desk is very pleasant and professional, and Ted, who fixed our car, is also a nice guy and a good communicator. Our other car has an issue too, and as soon as I find time to bring it in, I'll bring that one in as well. read more

Doug Snapp provides probably the best automotive service in Fresno. My husband and I have taken our cars to him for over 20 years. He takes very good care of them, and like a good physician, he is willing to suggest a specialist for a second opinion on certain procedures. He no longer does smog checks as the equipment just got too darn expensive, but he can get your car ready for the test. Sort of like a SAT prep course for autos. His rates are very reasonable and fair, and he makes appointments which he keeps. No fancy waiting room, though, so be prepared to stand on cold or hot concrete waiting for your car,. read more

I visited Snapp's Service Center for regular maintenance and a rotor job. I was surprised to see a bill for $99 for fully synthetic oil change, something that costs much less even in New York where I come from. I have had issues with my rotors in the past and hoped that it would be resolved at Snapp's given multiple positive reviews, but the new rotors were warped again. Doug refunded me the cost of parts, but not labor. I am not sure whether this is regular practice in auto service business, but if a job that a mechanic does fails after only two months, there should be some sort of accountability, so I was quite disappointed. Is he honest? I guess so, but I am not 100% sure. Is he expensive? By all means! They do provide a service to drive you back to your home or work after you drop off your car, but pick up is on you. Would I visit Snapp's again? Maybe... But it would not be my first choice. read more

Not the best. Not the worst. I took my car in because the engine light and oil light came on after a hose popped off my radiator and overheated. I got it towed to the location around 9am and was told the diagnosis would be done in about an hour. I had errands to do and was expecting a call and didn't get one. I call around noon and was told they were barely gonna work on my car after the lunch break. I was told it would be done the day of- I let them do their thing and my car pretty much gets fixed but near closing time. Luckily, I was in no rush and just told them I would pick it in the morning. It came around to $200 for the diagnostic, parts, and labor. If you're looking for a cheap and quick service, this isn't the place. But considering all things, the service wasn't too bad. read more

I originally took my Toyota Tacoma to Michaels Automotive. The dealership said that we had an oil leak and quoted me $1643.87. They said there was no way to tell where the oil was coming from and they needed to replace the valve cover gaskets, rear main seal, and the oil pan gasket. Snapp's said he would take a look, and they found that the oil filter was mis threaded. He changed the oil and filter, and the leak was fixed. He saved me $1573.87. Nice to know that there are still some honest machanics around, especially to females. If you are looking for a good, honest service center, Snapp's is the place for you!! read more

Best car service my fiancé and I have EVER had. Took our car in after we had made an appointment over the phone a few days prior and we were quickly prompted to pull the car in. The mechanic took a look at the car and was able to diagnose the main problem and some additional things that we were unaware of. We never felt pressured to fix it right then and there, or were belittled for our lack of car knowledge, and most importantly we never felt like we were taken advantage of. Me and my wife have only been to one repair shop for our needs before coming to snapps. Nothing against what they have done for us cause they were great at it. But as far as budgeting and good knowledgeable friendly crew you can't go wrong. Now they are our go to shop as well as having a good location I think too. Big or small jobs they got you covered and price fairly based on the task at hand. Also if a small job and just want to kill time there are plenty of businesses near them to do so. I was really impressed with these guys. (Dave, in particular.) I brought in my car that failed a smog test. Dave checked it out, and realized after only 20-30 minutes that we'd need to replace the whole engine to fix it. He could have tinkered around for hours and billed me, but instead he decided not to waste our money, and didn't even charge us for the time he did spend on it. He was very open and honest about everything, and easy to understand. I could tell he really wanted us to pass that test, and was bummed to give us the bad news. Looking for a shop that could service my Mother-in-law's Lincoln in Fresno, I could not use my normal Mechanic because I live in another town. I know Spider Guy Pest Control sends all their trucks to Snapps, so I chose them. They proved to be honest, giving an accurate estimate of cost and time to complete the (brake) job. I do some work myself, so I know the job was well done and a reasonable cost. They did not add surprise costs or more work like many other shops will try to do. Highly recommended! read more

i went here for an oil change because of a yelp review. the owner doug was friendly and helpful. their oil change is not just an oil change, so if you want something simple and cheap, this isn't the best place. they did let me know ahead of time, which was good. it was around $45 but they check everything that could go wrong with your car, and he saw a couple problems i wasn't aware of. he printed estimates of the repairs suggested and costs. the prices seemed a little high, so i called around and ended up getting the repairs done other places because Snapp's was a little more. I would say the prices are mid-range. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive that I found. But they are friendly, and I confirmed that they're honest because the repairs suggested were indeed needed when I got them repaired at other places. read more
