I should have ordered the pho because I always enjoy it. I wasn't hungry so I ordered tye meatball skewers ( appetizer) in a sweet chili sauce. Maybe it's just me but I bit into one of the meatballs and it tasted rubbery. I did not like it! It's unfortunate because Mai was very sweet. If you go there stick to their pho! They open at 11am.

I decided to pass on it and just got some steamed rice. They are never crowded in there which is unfortunate because their fried rice alone is delectable! The man that waited on me turned two people away because the dish they were going to order he said had very little beef in it. His attitude was a bit of a turn off. The beef was ok but only saw a couple pieces of chicken (mainly vegetables). The locals tell me it's been around a long time. Alot of takeout orders. Acceptable. Their spice level is right too, some places it's really all over the place but here I would expect what it says: hot is HOT, mild is mild, so on. Naturally I can't abandon my original spot but am certainly going to have to start balancing the two.
