Chicken oscar was $4.99, and side of rice and spinach, 0.95 each. Also had a cup of Maryland Crab Soup. The chicken oscar was pretty good, all considered. The chicken breast was ample, but a bit dry (it's a hospital, they don't want anyone getting sick from undercooked food!). There was real backfin crabmeat topping it, along with hollandaise and asparagus spears. Rice is rice. Spinach seemed fresh, well cooked (not canned or frozen). Maryland Crab soup also had chunks of crabmeat, and was nicely flavored, not too spicy but did have a bit of a kick. When you consider that is what you pay for a fast food "Value Meal," this is far more nutritious and tasty.

I have never had a Rueben made with real, hand-cut corned beef - not that supermarket deli stuff. And the rye bread is the best. We will drive 1 1/2 hours to come back for dinner, which the chef Matt said is even better - hard to believe. And big thanks to our server, Alex, who brought a NEW glass of iced tea instead of just topping the old tea.

We were staying at Liberty Mountain Resort, so the location was incredibly convenient. The food was just okay -- nothing fancy, just straightforward American classics. We sampled the chicken wings, elote nachos, brownie sundae, and strawberry shortcake. Drink selection was great. We were greeted in a friendly manner and our server was very attentive. However, the dining experience itself left a sour... no, cardboard taste in our mouths. Many of the serving stations were empty when we first came in and, unfortunately, several of the items I chose on my first trip to the buffet were stale-ish. It's a holiday weekend so maybe the timing was just off for the visit. A few fresh items were brought out but the green beans tasted canned and nothing really stood out to us. When both of us struggle to find a silver lining in something, things are amiss. Fortunately, dessert was good but shortly afterward, we got the check and felt nauseated at the price of what seemed to us like reheated pre-heated food. Hopefully this visit wasn't representative of what the restaurant has to offer; otherwise, somebody needs to put the Farmhouse out to pasture.
