All of the smoothies were delicious. We love that the cafe prioritizes organic and local produce, and that they make their own oat mylk! The cafe owner is welcoming, and has created a high vibe environment in the cafe. We enjoyed our smoothies on the rooftop patio, and our kids want me to mention that there is a kids' corner inside the cafe with fun toys to play with while waiting for smoothies. We were lucky that we chose to check out Namaste Cafe on a Tuesday because Falafeelsgood, a pop-up restaurant that serves excellent falafel, hummus bowls, and falafel pita sandwiches, comes to the cafe on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today, I had a direct interaction with the owner that completely turned me off from ever supporting this business again. I brought my own post-workout overnight oats today and asked for a spoon. While I understand I wasn't purchasing an entree at that exact moment, the owner fully recognized me as a long-time regular. Instead of treating a loyal customer with basic courtesy, he looked visibly annoyed that I even asked, refused to make eye contact, and informed me of a petty new policy: charging $0.25 for a plastic spoon. Monetizing a basic utensil to a regular who has supported your business for years violates fundamental business sense. Alienating a captive customer base over literally pennies is incredibly shortsighted. When the owner himself treats loyal patrons like an inconvenience and nickel-and-dimes them, it destroys any remaining brand goodwill. What's next? A surcharge for napkins? It is incredibly disappointing to see a local business owner treat consistent customers with such a poor attitude. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

As a 33-week pregnant individual, I became overwhelmed, started crying, and stepped away. Shortly after, a staff member approached, asking if we were ready to order, despite being aware of the circumstances. We chose to leave without dining. Due to this experience, I will not be returning, which is unfortunate, as I genuinely enjoy their food.
