I have mixed feelings. I used to enjoy a smoothie from OR but I agree with the reviews about the…read morepoor service times and staff being TOO "chill." Most visits take far too long, especially if there is more than one customer. The employees act as though they believe that the customers have unlimited time so they will chit chat or lallygag. This is a service based business so there needs to be a balance between "friendliness" and timeliness. I realize it's not a fast food joint but no one wants to wait 10-15 minutes for a smoothie or to simply pay for stocked items. This is the reason I don't shop here frequently anymore.

It would have been nice, if they used paper cups, instead of plastic cups for their smoothie/fruit juices, to reduce plastic consumption, ending up in the trash. Plus, they were using a plastic cutting board, instead of wood, to cut their fruits, veggies, etc. Just by going to the juice bar, we have consumed a lot of plastic, without realizing! Not sure why they do not have that set-up, even though they are a healthy food store.

I had already visited two so-called vitamin stores and neither one had what I was looking for. A couple things stood out right away. First, this location is set in a historic building in Crystal Lake, so it's like you're walking into someone's house to buy healthy foods and supplements. It's a little tight inside, but I think that just adds to the character of the place. The selection is diverse and I was able to find the two specific products I was seeking. The prices were high, but what I expect to pay for a specialty product. Please do some research before coming here, so you don't just think you're stepping into an unreasonable price point. Last, and certainly not least is that the customer service and knowledge was above expectation. I didn't get the kind of condescending hippy vibe that can sometimes come from stores like this. On the contrary, the person who helped me was patient, informative, and attentive to my budget constraints. There was no pressure or tendency toward the upsell, even though she politely recommended additional supplements. It didn't feel like a sales pitch, but rather a recommendation from someone who cares. Will be back for sure! And I highly recommend!

I didn't notice right away because I waited until I got to work to drink it which is 20 minutes away. Therefore, going back to have it remade was not an option. Also, I placed this as an "order ahead" option. When I got there, I was in the same line as I would be if I ordered it when I arrived. Ordering ahead doesn't make any sense if there isn't a separate line or place to pick up the order. I was in a car line of 10-15 cars and placing the order before I arrived didn't change that. I waited just as long as if I ordered in person. Either a park and pickup or a separate line for those that order ahead is needed to make this work. It's a flaw in the system. I emailed 7Brew immediately explaining what happened. They told me that I should try it right away next time and have it remade if it is wrong. That was the only solution they gave me. I asked for a refund, even a credit on the account on the app would have appeased me. Instead, they put the blame on me for not trying a hot drink the second I was handed it. Really disappointed in the corporate customer service. There are way too many other options than to give my business to a company that doesn't do the right thing.
