I wrapped up a hot girl walk with a little treat from smoothie king. I'm not big on milk in my smoothies so I wasn't sure there'd be anything here for me but I was pleasantly surprised. There was literally a section of options called "treat blends". I chose the island impact since it had some tropical flavors along with protein powder. It was delish! Not too sweet and the protein powder didn't make it chalky. Their smallest cup is 20oz so you've really gotta commit to finishing it all when you purchase it...or at least I did since I hate wasting money lol. I was sweaty so I hit up the drive through and the cashier was quick and friendly. Overall I spent about ten minutes in line. I'm usually a tropical smoothie girl but I can see myself stopping by here again. read more

This place has serious staffing and organizational skills. I was in the drive-thru with 2 cars ahead of me. When I got to the window I could see the employee making delivery orders. I waited 15-20 minutes overall for 1 smoothie. The car in front of me only got 1 smoothie too. Not sure how it takes this long to do a few smoothies. Good taste though. read more

I love the watermelon lemonades! They are my absolute favorite. I love their assistant manager Brylie! She is always so nice and friendly! Everytime my family and I come in or even through the drive through she greets us by name. My kids love coming by after speech to see Brylie. I ordered online and waited the 15 minute recommendation before coming to pick up. When I got there, I waited another 20 minutes in the drive thru and was then handed a smoothie half blended that I literally couldn't drink. The extra 5 minutes it took to remake it brought my grand total to 40 minutes of waiting. Honestly, there's an issue 50% of the time I come to this location, so it's kinda my own fault. I love smoothies, and this Smoothie King is in a great location on Greensprings Highway. You can't miss it! I came in the afternoon, and their drive thru was pretty packed. I ordered inside, and there were lots of workers. They were all nice and knew what they were doing. I got their new Hydration Watermelon smoothie. It was good, but a little salty for my liking so I probably will try one of their many other flavors next time. read more

Nothing special to me. Came here after a hard workout and was too sore to even shake my protein (it was arm day lol). I came in and the place was freshly clean. I was greeted and the cashier server asked me what I wanted. I said it's my first time here and she barely explained to me how things worked, often motioned to the menu, and there was no genuine care to make sure I understand everything. I ended up getting a original high protein smoothie despite she couldn't tell me the protein content at the time. The flavor was chocolate with banana mixed in with multivitamin, extra protein, and muscle builder. My smoothie wasn't really well blended as I still had chunks of powder but I didn't feel like waiting for it to be remade as I was already tired and had a good drive home. It was flavorful, I'll give them that and I did get a good boost of nutrition so that's another plus. I may stick to making my own smoothies and shakes since this was a 10 buck drink at 20 oz. I'd come out cheaper in the long run by going to the grocery store. read more

Since COVID-19 this location is strictly drive-thru, so be prepared because the lines can be a bit long....especially on $5 Friday. I must say the quality of the smoothies have gone down. I don't know if it's because they're rushing to get customers orders or if the quality of items to make the smoothies are dwindling down. On the trip I ordered the "Lil Angel" for my daughter. This has always been her go to smoothie. I had a $2 reward I wanted to use as well as pay through the app to receive points. The cashier had trouble scanning my phone. She finally was able to process it, but when I got my receipt I noticed she didn't apply my $2 reward. I shrugged it off and just said I'd use it next time. I passed the smoothie to my daughter and we were on our way. I noticed she wasn't really drinking it like she normally does. We get home and she says it felt like something was in her throat, I check it out and don't see anything. She continued to say something was in her throat. I give her water and we go gargle/ wash her mouth out several times and she felt better. I think about it and taste the smoothie myself. First off it was super watery....it lacked very much in flavor. Then I realized what my daughter was feeling in her throat. The strawberries were not blended fully and you could really taste the seeds and particles of the strawberries. They often get orders incorrect -- I've asked for foam cups (to prevent melting) and gotten plastic ones. I've ordered 20-ounce smoothies and gotten 32. And I've ordered smoothies that didn't taste like they were mixed correctly and have no flavor. I skip this location and drive further to the one in Hoover. read more

I love smoothie king but having only 1 person in front of me in the drive thru and sitting there for over 10 minutes without anyone taking your order and having to continuously ask the drive thru speaker if anybody is there is pretty sad. One person pulled up behind me and drove away after 10 minutes went by. I finally asked again if anyone was there and they finally said oh yeah you can order. The smoothies are always delicious but it shouldn't take me over 20 minutes in the drive thru with only 1 person in front of me. I'm disappointed because this is one of my favorite spots. read more

First timer to the smoothie king. This is a new establishment and the outside was very clean. We was greeted and cashier was friendly but seem nervous. I ordered the peach slice plus. They had a special for fridays. You can get a 34oz for $5. So the cashier had a problem processing the payment and so another young decided to take over and still get it done. She then got the manager and couldn't either so we ended up separating the ticket. We sit down to wait on my sister's drink which never can. The manager wasn't observant didn't seem to care. Didn't want to do refund. The whole store needs more training but my smoothie was ok. read more

The was the worst delivery I've ever had. The carrier was wet from the smoothie leaking. The driver left one of the smoothies on its side allowing for half the smoothie to fall out. It took 15 mins to get a smoothie from the drive thru at 3p on a Friday. It's not busy just endless chitchat with the car in front of me - 7 mins worth. $5 Friday promotion is misleading. So happy to see a Smoothie King in this area. I always get a green smoothie and my favorite is the Aplle Kiwi Kale, which is delicious. Not to sweet and pretty refreshing. A 20oz is more than plenty and I usually end up sharing that with my hubby tbh. I love that they have a drive through although the day we went by was a quiet afternoon and after ordering we had to pull to the side and had delivered the drinks curbside (maybe they were sort staffed). Today was the grand opening so they gave free 20oz smoothies. Although the line was out the door, the service was still great. They gave samples, they gave advice and suggestions as well. Coupons were given for the next visit but even without the coupon I'll return because the service was outstanding. When I got to the drive thru, the lady didn't take the order the first time. I had to wait two minuets until she finished doing whatever she was doing before she took my order again! Then I had to pull around and wait 10 minutes for a freaking smoothie! First time visiting here and I will never return. And the girl that I paid had a bad attitude, saying that they had "other customers" when the place was EMPTY. I'll never return again. Terrible. Wouldn't recommend at all. It's been a while since they have opened and they are the worlds slowest smoothie king even if you are the only one there and there are three people working. Go to the other one in homewood.
