Planet Smoothie is located at the end of a strip of restaurants. The store is neat and well maintained. Everything was clean and the lady behind the counter was not only wearing gloves but was switching them out like she was supposed to. She was very friendly even though she was a bit swamped with orders. I had to wait a bit but not for too long. I got their Mango Passion and added mango boba to it. Mango Passion is an energy drink with mango, passion fruit, strawberries and their energy blast. It was delicious and the mango boba just made it better. read more

I needed something fast and semi healthy for lunch . I decided on a smoothie from here. I always get tripped up in smoothie shops because I have the hardest time deciding on what to get. I ordered the 32oz The Last Mango smoothie. I know it consisted of mangos , pineapple, and bananas - can't remember what else. Overall, the smoothie was well blended, satisfying and refreshing. 32 ounces was the perfect size for me! There were at least 4 or 5 different sizes so that was impressive. I recently tried Planet Smoothie for the first time and it was ok. The business recently opened up in a new development in Alabaster, and I'm trying to eat healthier so I thought I'd give it a try. The shop was very open and bright. The employees were polite and helpful. I was impressed by the number of options they had, especially the add ins for energy and stuff like that. I tried the Fiji Island Breeze, which was touted as having electrolytes added and requested a mix in for energy. I also asked for the matcha mix in. I couldn't taste the matcha at all and when I asked the guy about it, he assured me it was in there. I don't know. I have no complaints with the business. It seemed like a lot to pay for a beverage (almost $8!!!) and it wasn't life changing. If you're super into smoothies, I'd tell you to check em out! read more

This location is clean and spacious with enough seats for those on lunch to enjoy. The young ladies working are on the quiet side but courteous. I wanted to redeem my offer for a 22 oz smoothie that was emailed for my birthday. I went with the "Last Mango" and it was absolutely delicious with mango, peaches, bananas, and orange sherbet. Decided to give this place a try as it was on my way to work and wanted a healthy choice. I ordered the Pineapple Tropi-Kale Twist, which after the young lady continued to stretch it by adding several scoops of ice, it was basically a green icee. Where was the almond milk in the description? Needless to say I was disappointed at paying more than $7 for a tasteless cup of green ice. Perhaps this young lady needed more training. At any rate, I give one star for a very clean and nicely designed store appearance. Every time I go to planet Smoothie I never had a bad smoothie. It's always good and fresh and the employees are always nice to me. I remember going there and it was my first time, and I didn't know I want I really want other then I wanted pineapple in my smoothie. The older man suggested that I tried the pineapple tropi-kale twist and now that's the one I get all the time. GRAPEAPE!!!!!!!! Kese let me try hers weeks ago and I've been hooked since. Now I go to get my own and see that they're quite pricy lol. So that'll definitely halt me from asking for them every time she's close to that area. I also discovered on this trip that they can make any smoothie I wanted to try dairy free. I bought a medium smoothie this morning (6 Dec '19)I told the stellar employee behind the counter that I wasn't going to be able to consume it til a couple hours later. She poured it into a styrofoam cup and then she thoughtfully packed the smoothie cup into a small container filled with ice. I'm consuming it now (nearly three hours later). It's perfect! She also gave me a small packet of extra granola in case it lost some of its consistency. This employee should be employee of the year! I'll be going back because of service like this! read more

I thought this would be my new favorite smoothie place in Alabaster. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The first few times I tried the smoothies here, they were very flavorful. However, lately they have been very watered down to where I could not taste as much fruit flavor. The first time I tried the Leaping Lizard, it had a strong fruity flavor and was a bright color. The last few times, it tasted like there was too much ice and not enough fruit. The first time it happened, I thought it was just an off day. However, after reading a few similar reviews, I see that this may be a common occurrence. Definitely a let down after spending more than $5 for a small. read more

Let me start off by saying that I love Planet Smoothie so it physically pains me to leave a one star review but based off of my visit today, I feel like this review is well earned. I faithfully go to this Planet Smoothie at least 3-5 times in a week. Every time that I do go, I'm either getting a Captain Kid, Lunar Lemonade or the new Dragon Fruit Lemon Splash. Today I decided to get a small Captain Kid. I took a couple sips of my smoothie and it tasted like water. I asked the lady if she could remake it because it taste like water and she responded with "oh yeah that's just how it taste"..I come here all the time and I know for fact that sherbet ice cream and strawberries blended together is not suppose to taste like water. The lady then ask another girl about the remake policy and she then tells me that I can buy another smoothie and get 25% off lol.
