I tried to place one online order for a smoothie. The app kept showing an error saying it couldn't process my order, so I never got a smoothie. However, even though it claimed the order couldn't be processed, my card was charged seven times. It's unacceptable for an ordering system to reject an order while still authorizing multiple charges. Even more frustrating is the complete silence from corporate after I reported the problem twice--no acknowledgment, no follow-up, no effort to fix it. Customers shouldn't have to turn to Google reviews just to be heard. If your online ordering system has issues, fix them. And if customers report a billing problem, at the very least, respond. Based on this experience, I have very little trust in Smoothie King's customer service or their online ordering process. Update: While writing this update, I noticed that the personalized response to my review had been replaced--just 12 minutes earlier--with a generic message directing me back to http://smoothieking.com, the same website I've already contacted twice without receiving any response. Based on that change, I'm left to assume that corporate didn't approve of the original response because it actually provided a direct way to resolve my issue. Instead, it was replaced with a generic template sending me back to the very channel that has already failed to respond. That only adds to the frustration and gives the impression that resolving customer issues takes a back seat to managing public reviews. At this point, I've contacted Smoothie King through the official website multiple times, reached out using the email address I was originally provided, and updated this review. Despite all of that, no one has actually addressed the issue of my card being charged multiple times for an order that was never processed. I'm simply asking for someone to take ownership of the situation and provide a meaningful resolution. 2nd Update: Now you've removed the generic response as well. Fortunately, I took screenshots of every response before they were edited or deleted. This is becoming ridiculous. Instead of changing or deleting your public responses, how about holding yourselves accountable and actually addressing the issue? I've contacted corporate multiple times, received no meaningful communication, and now the only thing that's changed is your attempt to rewrite the public record. Your smoothies simply aren't good enough to justify this level of customer service. A company should stand behind its mistakes, not erase them. read more

Went to the one on Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights. Terrible customer service and the smoothie did not even taste right. The guy in front of me complained and when he left all they could do was go off on him. Then I free upsized on Friday and they charged $1? The employee tried to justify why a free upside was $1. I will not be going back to this location. I already completed the feedback after my visit. Nobody called or emailed. read more

Smoothie King is always my go to when I'm feeling a little under the weather. The Immune Builder Mixed Berry always makes me feel better. Lots of antioxidant berries and immune boost gets you back on track. And it tastes so good I think my happy endorphins kick in too. Service is always quick and friendly. My son and I needed a quick meal and were across the street from Smoothie King. He said Smoothie King had a $5 Friday special, so we decided to check it out. When we got there, we found out that the Friday special was a free upgrade and we started to order. We were stopped and told that we needed to have the app and set up an account before we could get the special. I found that requirement irritating for multiple reasons, but we both proceeded to download the app and set up an account. We were able to download the app, but setting up the account was another story. Repeatedly entering the information, choosing a password getting the email to verify it, logging in, but not being able to login because the password wasn't correct. Having made that mistake hundred times in my life. I just proceeded to redo the password but every single time we did it (maybe four or five times) the same problem occurred. After a few tries, we told the staff of our problem, which was basically shrugged off, and after several tries we left, frustrated. My thought is that if you're going to offer a special but then have a requirement for some technology or any other hurdle, there should be a workaround for the sake of providing good customer service. In all honesty, having the requirement would be much better if they just required something like a no obligation membership or frequent flyer card instead of requiring an app. Because they didn't I was very disappointed and probably wouldn't go back. read more

My 16 yo and 14 yo went to smoothie king for $5 Friday. One child ordered the $5 Friday deal and the other told the girl taking her order she had the free smoothie coupon she received in the mail the day prior. They not ordered their smoothies and when they went to pay they charged them $13. They asked about the coupon and the $5 Friday and the girl said it did not work. They asked if they can order the right things for the discounts and she said no, we already started to make them. Talk about taking advantage of two little girls. Obnoxious. read more

I love smoothie king. I can't really compare to Jamba Juice, I've never been, but I grew up drinking these smoothies and they're the best in my book. This location has a drive thru, which is super convenient. Absolutely love that. The employees are all so kind too. So I don't mind spending 7 bucks on a 32 oz smoothie. Usually I just replace a meal with a smoothie, and it's perfect. I know some people can't imagine paying 7 bucks for a smoothie, but I can't fathom how people spend 4 dollars at Starbucks everyday. So, to each their own! You can add vitamins and supplements to your smoothies to make it a meal, and it's just perfect! The menu is huge so you just gotta keep trying them all, because they really are all good. Except I do not like the chocolate ones, too grainy. The favorites in our house are the Berry Punch, Island Impact, Strawberry X-treme, Pure Recharge, and the Immune Builder. Obviously, it's fruit, so lots of sugar! So you want to watch your sugar intake for the rest of the day, but either than that, it's a nice substitute if I'm on the go and better than grabbing Taco Bell! read more

I am a regular at the fenton location ( i can assure you its only because its half a mile away). Ive been going to this location since February and every one of my dealings with the manager Velvet have been terrible. As a manager of retail myself it has always bothered me her lack of customer service. Never smiling or even making friendly chit chat at the register. She also gives me trouble any time I want to use a coupon or my rewards. One Friday she wouldnt let me get points for my rewards because it was a Friday and you cant do rewards and $5 friday. Which I know is completey not policy. Today I had a picture of a coupon on my phone and she said I couldnt do that. In the name of customer service sometimes you do things to keep a customer happy, I had the scan code. Today they lost a customer and the 3 other customers in my office.
