This was an easy and pleasant experience from start to finish. I found this ALDI to be completely consistent with the brand, which is exactly what I expect at this point. They have the same products and the same exact layout as every other one of the roughly 80 ALDIs have shopped across 23 starts and this one makes my fourth in Missouri. There is something comforting about walking into a store you have never been in before and still knowing exactly where everything is without even thinking about it. I had no problem finding the keto bread I like, the sliced sharp cheese I like, and the packaged deli meat I like. They even have the pork rings I grab as a snack, which is always a small victory as not every location has them stocked. Everything was right where it should be, which made the whole visit quick and efficient in that classic ALDI way where you can get in, get what you need, and get out without wandering around or dealing with any fuss. Checking out was easy. The cashier moved quickly, the line flowed, and before I knew it, I was heading back out with my stuff in my reusable ALDI bag. This place is constantly unstocked and unstaffed no on is ever there to fill the shelves apparently I've been here 10 times or so and had to go to a different aldi or a different store completely to get what this Fenton store isn't stocked in it's unreal and dirty on top of it they need new management or to close down they're absolutely pathetic! read more

Aldi is always a great grocery store to go to. Sometimes the packages are smaller than standard, but the prices are good. The produce is fresh, and the meat selection is more than average. They have self checkout as well as counter service. A favorite place to shop. read more

I stopped into this ALDIS while out at Gravois Bluffs. It was a pretty standard ALDI. It is recently renovated and overall I had a nice in and out experience. The staff were helpful and the store was well maintained. read more

This location is my go to store! The location is a little dated within a strip mall and tons of the stores within the strip mall are closed, but Aldi is still standing! The parking lot is annoying, but whatever! Whenever I visit this location, I am surprised that I am able to get all fresh produce and they almost always have all the dairy products need too! I learned the trick, not to shop on a weekend! When I go around 7 or 8 on a week night, I get lucky and I can have the store almost all to myself! My favorite aisle to visit is the random aisle with home goods, candles, decorations, etc. Lots of things I don't need, but that I want! I almost always find a treasure or two! Their prices can't be beat! I have learned to accept generic products such as chips cereal, oatmeal, baking goods, etc. They are just as good and ten times cheaper! I love to bake and their baking aisle is awesome too and I always get what I need when it comes to cloud, sugar, chocolate chips, oils, etc. They have so many unique food items too that I consider to be gourmet; cheeses, nuts, gift snack ideas. They have something for everyone. Aldi is a smaller store so I don't have to make too many decisions. I know what I need to get and where I need to go. The cashiers are so quick and I always bring my own bags to pack the items myself. I am glad Aldi is around and I will continue to visit for my weekly shopping needs. read more

I typically go to the one in Kirkwood the staff is friendly. The person that checked me out threw everything in the cart and also the person behind me and she had a lit of stuff. She never said a work to either if us (as I was bagging my items I paid attention). I told the other cashier about this. She even pushed my cart in front of other customers and almost hit them. I also saw the cashier stocking shelves before I checked out and she was throwing empty boxes across the isle with out looking who was coming. This store has really gone down hill. read more

More fresh food items at the end. Fourth aisle: various freezer items, bread, baked goods and specialty bread in the middle, cleaning and bathroom and baby supplies, personal bathroom supplies in the middle, fresh vegetables, various freezer items at the end. Fifth aisle: cheese&meats, freezer section (meats, seafood, veggies, pizza, meals, ice cream), pasta&sauces, broth, soups, bread, various freezer items +section at the top has room temp meats and canned meals, and rice Back row: dairy products, bacon, cheese, certain vegetables, and various fresh meats Need to know: 1. You need a quarter for the carts. You'll get it back when you return it. 2 .they don't supply bags. You can either pay for large bags or just grab an empty box from the "box cage". I prefer using boxes to bags: they hold more items which means less trips from the car to the house. 3. Their variety of fruits/vegetables is fine but always check for mold (especially the strawberries). 4. They carry specialty items: edible and non edible items, that can change week to week. 5. If you need something rare/uncommon/specific food item for a recipe (like oyster sauce or clam juice), then you'll need to go to walmart, but the common food items should be there if you know where to look. 6. The location is in the process of remodeling so the store layout should be changing soon read more

I hate this store. I really do. Every time I go here, I leave disappointed. No matter how little I expect of them, they still manage to let me down. I could write about the time I went here to get one thing - bananas - and I left without them. But that was years ago, so I went again and am writing my review based on my most recent visit. I'll admit, it's not as bad as it used to be, but it still has a long way to go. I went here attempting to do my weekly grocery shopping. Before entering the store, I noticed their shopping carts are outside and that you have to "pay" 25 cents to "rent" one; you get your money back when you return the cart. I avoid using cash whenever possible, and never have change on me, so I was not able to get a shopping cart. When I entered the store, they had a bunch of random things on the shelves, largely unpacked from the boxes the store receives them in. The store is fairly small, so that could explain why they didnt have a lot, but what I dont get is they waste some of their limited shelf space on stuff nobody expects to buy at a grocery store like electric leaf blowers. The whole store just has a feel like they dont "carry" anything, and instead they just sell whatever they can get a good deal on. So I went through the store, trying to do my shopping. I had 13 things on my list. Of these, they did not have 8, and this included common items like peanut butter and frozen green beans. There were other things they had I needed, but you had to buy in mass quantities. So all in all, I was able to get exactly one thing on my list. When I went to go pay, they only had one register open (weekend mid afternoon). To my surprise, I was able to pay with credit card, but they still dont have bags for you. Worse than that, Im not sure they even have bags available - I saw customers who had already checked out messing around with their stuff in their grocery cart past the registers; maybe they were trying to put their stuff in bags they had brought. Regardless, Shop and Save is still better. With that said, I am able to say 2 good things about this place: the stuff they sell is cheap, and one time I went they had a lot more German food than any other place I know of; of course, the next time I went, they didn't have any German food at all, but I guess that's what you get here. Other than that, this place is awful and a waste of your time to go here, because you will have to go somewhere else to get the rest of the stuff you need that these guys dont have. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. read more

Great store if you're looking for a discount... However there are a few inconveniences that make this experience a little disappointing... First of all, expect to take in a quarter to even get a cart. After you've come inside, you need to first walk through an enormous isle to even get anywhere in the store. The isle spits you out at the other end, where there is a small walkway in front of the milk. This is literally where old women spend hours contemplating the best choice with the latest date, so expect to stand around a bit before they even notice you. I usually just come in for one thing, which is on the other end of the store, so I guess I'm just biased and conditioned to think this place is inconvenient. Just found out today that they don't accept credit cards. I've never even heard of a business not accepting such a thing, so I was really confused. Not to mention they don't have Apple Pay (which would be extremely simple to set up given their POS technology)... After you've bought everything, you're not going to expect to find any bags throughout this store, except those you must buy. This usually isn't a problem for me, because I just carry everything that I buy, though it could cause a problem if you're coming in expecting to fill your cart. Again, I like this place for their deals, but there are a lot of disappointments along the way. I would give it a 4-5 star for the value alone, though the experience drastically brings it down. At least the people are nice though! However they usually only staff 1-2 of them, with 1 cashier being the norm. So expect to stand in quite a bit of a line at busy points in the day. read more

I love the savings for my family of 5 but I wish it was a larger space. Weekends are packed and it can be a little crazy to get around. The staff is always helpful. Sometimes the fruit and vegetables are rotten so look over what you are buying but their prices are good. I have gone to the new South Lindbergh locate and it is a lot bigger. I hope the Fenton location gets bigger. I just have find a less crowded time to go. read more

In reading these other reviews, they apparently did not do their research prior to shopping at Aldi. Yes, you have to pay a quarter for a cart which you get back when you return it. That allows prices to be lower because they don't have a cart retriever to pay. We usually pay it forward anyway and just hand off the cart. We use green bags for shopping so not having bags is no big deal. I'd rather bag my stuff because, at some other stores, my stuff is illogically bagged. I review the ads prior to shopping and plan my list accordingly. Items are sometimes seasonal so they may not have them the next time you shop. Those items are usually indicated as such. The store is clean as are the restrooms. They take cards now too. Prices and quality are great. read more

Went in here earlier today to buy wine & the cashier failed to hand me back my drivers license! After going back up there a couple hours later after realizing I never got it back, it was nowhere to be found. Not sure how they lost it, or what may have happened but this is a HUGE inconvenience. read more

I love Aldi's because their prieces for fruit and vegtables are almost half the price of Dierbergs or Schnucks. I know they do not always have everything you want, but you can look up their ads on the internet and see what is on special. They also have a lot of items that are low salt and lunch meats and chicken sausage that are Nitrate Free at a very reasonable price. Their humus is half of the price of the other stores. We always keep quarters in our car and grocery bags too! read more
