First time visitor review: We walked in without pre-ordering and were greeted as if we were long-time customers. Not intimidating at all! The cashier gave us a quick tour of the different sections of the refrigerators. Each section is broken down by protein, bulk food, snacks, desserts, or pre-orders with easy to read labels and pictures of each meal. Then she pointed out all the important symbols and things to note on the labels. The macros are easy to find on the front of the packaging and the heating instructions are clearly marked. She let us know that everything is fresh, never frozen. She also warned us not to overheat the meals as to avoid overly dry or chewy proteins. We grabbed the menu listing the new summer flavors before we left so we can get ideas on what to order next time. There was zero pressure to order in advance. Many people were walking in to pick items off the shelf just like us. I know I feel better during the day when I eat something packed with nutrients, but during the busy holiday season with lots of travel I'm not good at making it to the grocery store and cooking. I picked up some meals to take for lunches at work and they were the perfect midday fuel! I came close to when they close and they still had lots of options on their shelves. I liked getting to look at all the meals they had available to see what appealed to me. I tried the Southern BBQ chicken and corn cake meal and it was delicious. My husband and I had some coupons to Fit-Flavors, and their healthy, portioned, pre-packaged meals intrigued us to have on hand when in a pinch during busy weeks for lunch and dinner. However, we were a bit let down with the meals we tried (we each had 4 different ones). All sounded delicious, but generally lacked seasoning and flavor. We felt like we could just as easily and healthily make these meals ourselves and that there are other fast-casual locations that make meals that are just as healthy, at a comparable price, with better flavor. If you're a single professional who dislikes cooking this is a good option for you, but otherwise, not my favorite. Stopped by here on my way to Chick-Fil-A for a quick lunch. As a full time college student-athlete with a job this place is a godsend for trying to eat healthy on a busy schedule. Fit-Flavors has been a godsend these past few months. This fall has already been incredibly busy, and I'm also getting married soon... so needless to say, I'm always after things that are convenient but still healthy. It's rare to find a pre-made health food store whose food doesn't taste like cardboard, but FF has done it. Sure, it's expensive, but in my opinion it's completely worth it. I've figured out that if you don't want to spend a fortune here, pick up meals that are a) vegetarian, or b) breakfast. They're definitely a little cheaper. They also have a rewards program that sometimes gets you a free meal. I am obsessed with the chocolate chip protein pancakes, the egg and cheese enchiladas, the peanut chicken with Asian slaw, and the turkey meatballs. Sometimes I have to add a little salt to certain things (I'm still human), but I've never had a bad meal here. My fiancee loves the salmon salad, and all of their soups/salads are fresh and wonderful. The employees here are great too. Pre-prepared trays for to-go or delivery of "organic, balanced & nutrient dense" but flavorful & filling meals & snacks. Plus, they offer protein/energy based desserts/snacks (think healthier alternatives to protein/energy bars). This place is more athletic oriented than fad diet... Overall, this is like looking inside the fridge of the prepared parents leaving their olympic or athletic scholarship hopeful high schoolers for a few days during their training. Large meals, small meals & snacks (grapes plus nuts, cheese or yogurt) are all marked & contain some type of protein to help build athletes. The parents had to make the food tasty so the kids would not just cheat & get frozen or fast food. HOWEVER, the controlling parents only offer complete meals & snack or healthy "protein bar alternatives" & not the single ingredients or any decisions. There is no ability of picking up a just piece of fruit or bread to go along with your meal/snack. There is also no way to add too much cheese or a bad for them sauce/dressing. For $8.50, I got a densely packed buffalo chicken salad. While it is designed to be healthy, it was very tasty. Being protein oriented, I also felt full vs many "healthy" salads I have had. (It had more generous portion of buffalo chicken & black beans) The avocado/guacamole dressing was a nice addition & was reported to be healthy fresh alternative to most salad dressing. I also bought the small 2 piece tray of Snicker-doodles "protein/energy balls" for $4 that I ate later. I had seen the larger $18 tray at a friends house of another healthy "dessert" balls before. These were made with the agave sweetener... This is like cheating, but not cheating. I did not realize that they were made w/o sugar before because those are pretty good. I was recently introduced to Fit Flavors. One of the young ladies working at this location took the time to give me a tour, explain the concept and even give her personal tips on how to make the food work for me. I just tried the buffalo chicken with green beans and sweet potato fries. It was so yummy and as I read the label was net positive with protein. How can this be?! I'm truly excited about my options. I can definitely say it was so nice to have healthy food ready to warm up after a long day at work and actually enjoy the food. The flavors were good and the veggies were perfectly cooked. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the price and the fact that they don't have delivery. You can order your food online but you still have to go pick it up. Fit-Flavors held a nutrition class at work that day so on my way home I thought I would stop in and take a look at what they had to offer. Its located in the shopping plaza just off 40 so it was easy to get to with plenty of parking. (I think they have 2 other locations as well) It is a small place, with a few table so if you needed to eat at their facility you could. I was assisted with the items on the menu that were packaged in plastic take home containers, with instructions on how to warm up before eating. They also all had dates very visible that identified when you need to have them consumed by. I end up purchasing several days worth of dinners and breakfast meals. And all for a reasonable price. When I got home I was pretty excited and nervous because I didn't really know if this meal was going to fill me up. The portions were good size, but I would typically eat more than what was in the meal. To my surprise, not only was it absolutely delicious, but I was satisfied and full. Each meal (again 4 now) has been the same. Extremely good and filling. I don't know where else you can go to get a healthy meal, that tastes good and completely home made, for less than a self serve salad you can get from a grocery store. I came here today because I didn't want to meal prep for the week. I decided I'd rather pay for someone else to do it for me. So I grabbed my daughter and we headed to Brentwood. I'm on a special diet and so have to avoid sugar and high carbs/fats. I also need to eat high protein, but am currently only allowed chicken and turkey (and seafood but, yuck). Fit-flavors has their coolers divided by type of protein, so it made it easy to avoid the ones I didn't want. All the nutrition info I needed was on the containers, plus they have barcodes so I can scan them right into My Fitness Pal! The girl working the counter was very helpful, too. I'd love to try their nutritionist, but post bariatric surgery nutrition is not listed as one of the types that she handles. read more

I love fit flavors and often pick up food at Brentwood location. One of my favorite meals is the peanut chicken and slaw! Its a little spicy but AMAZING! How the chicken is perfectly cooked is beyond me. All the chicken at fit flavors is the best I've ever had. They grill the chicken perfectly and its beyond delicious. The Hawaiian meatballs are out of this world amazing as well! The desserts/treats are outstanding and don't leave you feeling gross. You feel good and satisfied when you finish your food from fit flavors! I wish Fit Flavors had some cooking classes and would share a hit recipe at the class. I hadn't been to Fit-Flavors in a couple of years but I'm trying to watch it so I thought I'd enlist some help with lunches. I like variety and I'm good with breakfast and dinner but lunch is always difficult for me. I went to Fit-Flavors on a Sunday afternoon to check it out. I try to stick to the meals that are lower in carbs so that eliminates the meals that have rice or potatoes on the side and makes the selection much smaller. I chose the Peanut Chicken over Asian Slaw (I knew I liked this one from previous visits) and the Caribbean Jerk Chicken both from the Basic Training section. First off they were both very dense and filling. The Peanut Chicken over Asian Slaw is good because the "slaw" is very crunchy and the dressing has a decent flavor to it. The Caribbean Jerk Chicken surprised me. I really liked it! The jerk seasoning on the chicken had a nice little kick and the chicken was actually still fairly moist and I ate the meal several days after I purchased it. Sometimes chicken can really dry out but this was good. It was over carrots, zucchini, red pepper, and onion. I even loved the vegetable selection. Only complaint is next time more onion but I love onion! I will most certainly be back. read more

I have to say though, this has been the only healthy food I've been able to stick with and ACTUALLY ENJOYED! The only reason I don't give them five stars is the price point is high. FIT FLAVORS WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?! I was lucky enough to stumble upon this place after my coworker brought one for lunch one day. It looked amazing and of course, i had to inquire. The concept: fresh, very healthy pre-made (yet DELICIOUS) food ready to be purchased on site. That's right, you don't have to place an order or wait. Just go and you can pick out what you want from what they have available. My first visit, I really didn't know what to expect. But as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile and the question if I'd ever been before. Of course, I said no and I was given the 101 by the young lady working. She explained to me how the meals were organized (by breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack) and then by size (small, large). There is also a section for vegetarian and labels that explain if the meal is gluten free or dairy free. I really appreciated the overview, and it made me avoid that awkward..".okay i'm new here and i'm not sure what to do" feeling. So, next, on to picking out the food! I was shocked at the variety in the meals. Everything from slingers to muffins, enchiladas to shrimp pad thai, soups to salads. I've been eating these meals 3-4 days per week and I'm still not half way through the menu. Of course, i've already found a few favorites including the peanut chicken with Asian slaw. HOLY YUM. Every time i bring this to work, my coworkers look on in envy :) I've tried several of these pre-made meal companies and this one is my favorite. The food they make is just more in line with the foods i like to eat than others. Also, I like being able to go in and physically see the food first, before buying. I also like the flexibility; you can go in and buy a meal, or five days worth of food. And I find the pricing to be on point. Anywhere from $6-$13 per meal which is very on par with what I expect to pay for the quality they provide. Look. I love to cook and always will. But as someone who lives alone, I just needed some variety in my life. And well, who am I kidding but some portion control. In general, Fit Flavors is a home delivery service that can send you pre-portioned meals depending on your order preferences. Normal delivery days are Monday and Wednesday but now with this this location, you can actually walk up and purchase one meal at a time or several meals. What an amazing way to have a quick meal without the guilt of traditional fast food. I really liked being able to see the items I was going to have face-to-face. The day I went I was totally dressed down (jeans, hoddie, Timberlands and no make-up but I did have on deodorant). As soon as I walked in I was warmly welcomed and given the run down on what the company stood for and walked over to the fridges where the goodies are stored. The young lady that helped me was Kendall and she was so knowledgeable and eager to share her expertise. Fit Flavors has a very intelligent stocking system. All of the food is prepared fresh daily in the Chesterfield location and then this location and the other two satellite locations receive daily deliveries. All of the food has a shelf life of at least five days and the "best by date" is prominently located on each package. Similarly, all the nutritional information you can need is readily available as well as a list of all the ingredients. This place gives you choices, plenty of them. There is no long-term commitment. Some meal possibilities include choices like heart healthy, vegetarian, gluten-free, and high-protein. This is a great option for those seeking dietary and health-conscious meals. To gain familiarity with the food and its quality I went with: 2 - Autumn Salmon Salad (salmon, lemon kale w/ roasted butternut squash, blue cheese, caramelized onions, toasted pumpkin seeds and Italian dressing). $9.50 each 1 - Hawaiian Steel Cut Oats for breakfast. $4.50 1 - Chocolate Blackberry Muffins (gluten free oats, brown rice flour, whey protein and fresh blackberries). $4.00 The food tastes great! You can certainly tell it is freshly prepared and nothing was soggy or mutilated. The meals also come in different sizes, so there is certainly enough for you to feel satisfied and not stuffed. The prices are higher but the old adage is true - you get what you pay for. You only get one body so why not treat it well? Pay for your health now or pay for it later. I am by no means a health Saint (I too eat those nuggets that don't decompose) but when there are systems set up where I can make my life easier and it puts me in a good flow I will certainly give it a try. Some days when I know I'm going to want to go on autopilot and pull up to my local drive-thru, Fit Flavors is going to just make it that much easier for me to go home and eat well. Plus if you work out 24 hours a day, anyone will tell you that 90% of your results will be based on what you consume - good in = good out! I was in a rush to get somewhere so I didn't take my receipt. As I drove off I thought the total mentioned was rather high. They were about to close and I was now officially out of the area but I called and Kendall reviewed what the other associate rang up. She found the error and opened up an account for me and placed the value of the credit on my account. The breakfast meal served me TWO days (it's a huge portion). The lunch meal turned into a dinner option and I still have about a third of it in the fridge...the dinner meal was enjoyed just last night and was excellent. The system they use for online orders is different than the one they use in the store however, so when I took a gift certificate a family member ordered for me online to the store they weren't able to use it there unless I had them switch the credit over onto a gift card. When I googled restaurants in Brentwood and this place came up, I was really excited to find healthy food that I could take back to the office with me... before I even got there, on the drive over, I was thinking about purchasing extras to take home and trying and maybe getting on board with their service. The sweet ladies despite my hunger allowed me to still pick up and eat my meal there even though I had not seen the 72 hour notice of an order being processed if you pay for it online.
