I love Smoothie King because my hubby butt loves Smoothie Kings. I think they're a GREAT way to introduce raw-food-a-phobes to the wonderful world of smoothies and fresh juices! When I was in Mississippi and didn't know any better, I thought Smoothie King was healthy; that was before I tried Juice Land and my 80/20 lifestyle. I was always surprised by how sweet their fruits were! Now, when I go, I realize that their smoothies are cloyingly sweet. This is because they add sugar to the smoothies, which is "fine" because it's raw sugar. That's "healthy" right? Nope! Because one smoothie comes in at 600+ calories! Yikes! I can't fault them for that; I think this is a personal preference, and I DO like their smoothies, especially the Pineapple Surf. If you want true healthy, make your own or go to Daily Juice, Juice Land, or Whole Foods, in that order. read more

There were four employees working when I went on a Sunday afternoon to order two smoothies. Not one of the employees could speak English. I had some questions and they just looked at me and said no English. I couldn't communicate with them so I left and went to Juiceland. the employees were very nice and courteous but I couldn't communicate with them so I had to leave. When I arrived at the store, I was the only customer. I ordered two smoothies. Within minutes, the store had a line and the cashier had to ask for help. The woman who came to assist walked out looking visibly uninterested in doing her job. Without any direction, she started making drinks out of order. Despite placing my order first, several smoothies were made before mine. When I raised a question about this, I was told they didn't know which order was mine and they continued taking new orders and making whatever they felt like. After a few more minutes, I asked for my money back. They stated again that they had no clue what I ordered, so I probably could have asked for double the money back. Amidst this chaos, I was informed that my drink was made. Only one, mind you--I ordered two. They simply split one smoothie unevenly into two cups. With complete disgust, I left. This is such a shame. Smoothie King has such a great product and it's so close to my gym, but there is no way I'll ever visit this location again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone. read more

Great customer service for younger people running the store. They were obviously under staffed on a Sunday but had great attitude and did the best they could. Also gave me a larger drink for the wait which as a company owner I would hope my employees would do the same for the customers if there were inconveniences. I get a smoothie daily for my son that I put in a yeti mug until today. I guess the plastic cups are more important to them and firing the employees seems a bit harsh for something especially in Austin. Question should be asked why is this so important them ? I have been waiting for weeks for the "Opening Soon" signs to come down. I was so happy to see the "open" light sign on this morning when I passed by. After a morning of exploring the greenbelt and an afternoon of cleaning the house I was ready for a smoothie. So, I called a neighbor who was also anticipating the opening and we walked over to The Smoothie King. OMG this place is a Hypoglycemic nightmare if you need sugar fast because there are way too many options... It took us a good 15 minutes of asking questions to decide on what we wanted. I had the Blueberry Heaven (blueberries. bananas, protein powder and honey) and my friend had the Banana Berry Treat (strawberry, banana, raspberry sorbet and protein powder). Both were delicious but I especially liked the smoothie creaminess of the raspberry sorbet. If you want to make your smoothie even healthier there all sorts of 'Enhancers" you can add to your smoothie. I will update as I explore more of the healthy menu... read more

However, the smoothie was great I had a strawberry mango with nothing extra in it like a protein boost for example I was expecting to be told about the smoothie king concept, but that never happened. I enjoyed my Strawberry Kiwi Breeze smoothie and since I went in on Monday I got upgraded to a Medium for the same price as a small. Will I be going to Smoothie King again?
