I always have a great experience at Smoothie King but this time I had a even better experience because there was a man that I didn't have his card or any cash but the cashier told him "it was okay we will get you next time and have a great day!" When it came my turn to pay I told him he could put that mans smoothie on my ticket, he said no its okay I took care of him no big problem. Oh how I crave smoothies post-workout, always. But lo and behold, this chick's too lazy to blend her own, what's new? Okay, so I did some research on how they make their smoothies, and then was appalled, and after looking at the nutrition facts and blogs from fitness gurus, I was just given a whole new perspective on "fitness smoothies" and this type of health hype. I'm very very health conscious on what goes in my body, on my body, and so forth, but it's really pretty bad when you discover what additives they put in your delish shake. *Shudders in horror* I had the Green Tea Tango the first time I visited, which I think is innocent enough, since it really didn't taste too artificial, but of course, they put different syrups and stuff in the smoothie and there's a huge red wall thing separating the consumer from the people making the concoction so you can't even see what they're putting inside the shake unless you lean over or are tall enough. Hmph! I want transparency, like at Jamba Juice, pls. I returned for the Gladiator after much research of the best smoothie here, and it was alright. They have the $5 mediums on Fridays, and the drinks are HUUUGE. But that means lots of calories, especially in the Hulk. This is such a nice, clean smoothie king. The staff is helpful and friendly. I like how smoothie king has stepped up on their protein shakes and added vegan protein powder options. I came her for lunch one day after a workout and I wanted something filling. The Nutty Super Grain was delicious. For a meal replacement, it was $5. The size was big enough and I can't imagine being able to drink the largest size which is like $8. The prices are a little high for just a smoothie but it's a healthy choice! read more

This is one of the best Smoothie King locations in the area. I love that you can text or call in your orders if you're in a rush. They always blend the smoothies perfectly, even the thick ones like the hulk. Everyone that works there is so friendly and knows what they're doing. I feel that Smoothie King leans more towards the "body building" type rather than the "health nuts". It's a nice place that is loaded with vitamins and supplements, along with the obvious smoothies. Most of the smoothies here are already packed with some kind of powdered supplement, which is not particularly my kind of thing. There are options that don't have powder, but very few. Overall, the taste isn't as good or as fresh as a Jamba Juice. I would give it more stars because I like to have extra protein in my smoothies every once in awhile, but the service here significantly lacks and the drinks are pretty inconsistent; the employees aren't very friendly and they sometimes make the smoothies too watered down. This location occasionally has price specials that change seasonally. All drinks also come with a free boost. It's a good place to try out if you're in the area, but I would choose a different smoothie place over Smoothie King any day. read more

I love that this location opens early. 7 am smoothies anyone? Beware for the long lines because I have noticed even with just two or three people in front of me, the line can take a while. I wish they hired workers who worked more efficiently, i.e. one takes orders, the second and/or third makes the smoothies and third/fourth works the register. To avoid the long lines, I suggest calling ahead to have your order ready when you arrive. I highly recommend signing up for the Smoothie King rewards program. After so many points, you can get a free smoothie. They add up pretty quickly too. I also highly recommend trying a Passion Passport smoothie and add strawberry to it. So delicious! read more

When you walk into this location it just SMELLS so clean and fresh! Staff always makes my smoothie the way I ask, but aren't too pushy with the add-ons. Also, the merchandise is displayed neatly and out of the way, unlike other locations, I've noticed. This location also seems to have a little more pep than others I've visited. Even with a line, I was in and out in 5 minutes. My stand-by smoothie is the Chocolate Shredder. This is my local watering hole if I'm at work. For some reason the original staff I'm used to is no longer there. The quality of the smoothie is still good, but service is now sub par. They are inefficient and almost unfriendly. Order can be a hassle due to lack of experience or incite. This place was good for awhile, so why the change... My order is never ready on time and this time around the "promise time" was 4:05pm, I didn't get my smoothie until 4:27pm and that's only because I reminded them. On top of that, they didn't even tell me it was ready when it was ready, I had to look around. Jamba Juice used to be my go to until the Highlands location closed. Since I love smoothies I tried Smoothie King again because it is much closer than Jamba Juice (not including the mall location).  I found a few smoothies I was okay with, though I still prefer Jamba Juice, and the $5 Fridays were a good deal. But lately (maybe 6 months, give or take) anytime there is a discount, the smoothies suck. On one Friday, I ordered two high protein shakes, and added peanut butter to one. For $13 plus tax (since meal replacement smoothies went to $6) I received a watery smoothie with chunks of ice and a smoothie that did not taste like what I ordered. I complained and received replacement coupons. Today my boyfriend used one of the coupons for a 20 oz hulk, which tastes weak, like it is more milk than anything. I understand smoothies are not cheap, but Smoothie King often uses syrups and additives instead of fresh ingredients. It is not in my budget to spend the better part of $10 on a smoothie every week, especially when it isn't healthy ingredients, but I expect a quality product when I do spend my money, even if it is a discount day. And I certainly expect a quality product when a coupon that says remake on it is used. I know it can be accomplished because I have had excellent experiences at other locations in the DFW area, whether discounted or not. If you have another option for a smoothie I would take it because I am tired of the shenanigans at this location. read more

Great service. Busy place when I came in and there was some mistake with my smoothie: either someone else walked off with it or they forgot to make it. But as soon as the woman behind me in line received her order before me, the staff apologized. And they realized it without me having to say anything, giving me a coupon for a free one next time.
