If you value your time, money, home, and peace of mind, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The work on our floors and dry wall required multiple return visits. After the second flooring visit, we told them the floor was still uneven and that the vinyl continued to pop up. On the third visit, a team member stepped on the area that was popping up and said, "There's nothing wrong!" After we insisted they open the floor, we discovered that cardboard packaging from the vinyl floor boards had been used underneath the floor to address the leveling issue... When we finally thought the flooring was finished, another problem surfaced. The trim at the top of our staircase that had been installed only about two weeks earlier came loose, and I fell down the stairs as a result. We then discovered that our replacement dry wall was visibly uneven and not flush with the existing wall. Even after their team came back to work on it, the transition was still not flush, if not worse! Regardless of whether subcontractors were involved, we hired Into The Woods to ensure the work was completed properly and ultimately hold them responsible. On top of having to repeatedly identify problems that should have been caught through proper supervision and quality control, the most frustrating part has been communicating with Into the Woods direct team members, especially their owner, Shamus. We constantly felt like our concerns were minimized and dismissed. Even if the work had been perfect, the interactions with the company throughout this entire process made us wish we never signed anything with them.

She asked what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction. She couldn't leave the door and apologized that she couldn't walk me over. No worries at all. I just appreciated the kind gesture and great attitude. A few moments later, Sharon came over to assist. Listen, I felt bad for Sharon because I'm the most indecisive person on the planet and poor Sharon stumbled across me. However, she didn't mind at all. She even offered suggestions and told me to take my time because she was there to assist. She helped me pick my tile and grout. He was also flexible in additional requests we had along the way (like asking for a final glossy coat to finish the wood floors). I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. Included (for a fee) in the quote was assistance putting furniture back in the room which was helpful. I'd contact Antoine again for future flooring needs.

A year later my unsealed,…read moresanded (which I never asked for) grout is not only showing huge amounts of grossness, it's obvious the grout isn't neatly contained within the grout lines but has huge areas where it's on the tile. This was the only place I found the specific tile I was looking for and the owner said it would be a 2 week lead time which worked perfectly for a very tight schedule. After waiting a few days after the estimated installation time I contacted him and he said it would be another 2 weeks, or possibly a month. I had another tile installer who did a beautiful job in the kitchen and as soon as I said I could have the other installer pick up the materials I'd already purchased, somehow the owner found a way to make it happen the next day. I can only imagine he was scrapping the bottom of the barrel on subcontracted installers, and they were nice, showed up on time, worked hard, but they were very inexperienced. Their work was very sub-par with huge wavy lines at the edges, uneven tile setting, and I don't even know what they did with the floor in the shower area but it's thick, it's weird, and the trim is atrocious. The owner showed up halfway through the installation and mentioned that he'd sent me an email about a price increase. I hadn't seen it, would never have agreed to it, and not only that he never once contacted either me or my husband by phone to confirm. If I wasn't in such a time crunch I'd have thrown him off the jobsite right then and there. He's a liar and a weasel and has no control over the shoddy workmanship his subcontractors do. Look up Michal Battle if you want tile done right.
