Made the appointment with Cat who was so great, I was super comfortable, and forgot I was showing my crotch to a complete stranger. She is personable and professional, and great at what she does! It did hurt but minimally so, she used 2 different types of waxes, and got up most of my hair. I do have some hair left that was just to short for the wax to pick up this time which she offered to tweeze, but I wouldn't let her do it! the whole place was gorgeous with lots of nice things. I went to Smooth today for a Brazilian Wax. I was nervous when I entered the establishment because I did not know what to expect. Walking through the door changed that! The customer service from the time you enter until you leave is phenomenal. My esthetician was STARLA and she is AMAZING I mean AMAZING! I just went here for the first time ever on the recommendation of a friend after some less-than-awesome experiences at Beach Body in Virginia Beach. What a difference! Seriously, it was like night and day. I came here to have my eyebrows saved. About 2 months I went to a local threading salon and they butchered my eyebrows. So I've been growing them out since and came here based on the amazing Yelp reviews. Heather was my girl and she did a wonderful job. I went yesterday. It was my FIRST time getting a Brazilian. The experience was wonderful from the initial phone call to having it done. Chanel (hope I spelled her name correctly) answered the phone and answered ALL of my questions and really put my mind at ease. First impressions are everything and it was because of her that I moved forward with my appointment. It could be tricky finding the business, but her directions were precise. I got there early and Jasmine was ready. All I can say is Jasmine was amazing. I will continue to drive from Suffolk as long as she is there. LOVE her. Decided on this place based purely off reviews and wasn't disappointed at all. I called and they were able to fit me in same day within a few hours. The staff gave me directions and told me where to park which saved me some time. When I arrived the place was super cute and smelled so good. The waxing waiting area is in the back in a nice spa like setting. I didn't wait more ham 5 min. My esthetician was Tiffanie. She put me in the room gave me instructions and came back when I was ready. The room was modern but spa like also. It also smelled good like lemongrass or sage. The waxing went great. She used both soft and hard wax. It was less painful than a usual Brazilian. We chatted during and I didn't feel awkward. When done I paid. I choose to get the smooth card which gives you Brazilians for 49 dollars. I get a lot of them so paying he 40 bucks was a no brainer. This will be my new place and I highly recommend this to anyone. read more

Went in for a Brazilian waxing . Had Mary told me she couldn't do it because it was too short. She also wasn't the best and used waxing strips too and half assed the job . She then charged me for a deep wax, but completely missed a lot of spots, it looked as if I did it myself for 40 dollars (yikes) I had to ask the other specialist Tiffany have to touch up. And she completely got all of the hairs and spots. She is very good and I would suggest to go to her. I would give five stars if I had Tiffany first. read more

I went here for my very first brazillian wax. I can't remember how I found this place but I'm so glad I did! I don't have any other experience to compare this to but it was better than I expected! I was able to book online with no problems and received a reminder phone call from a real person the day before my appointment. The atmosphere is great and the smell is delightful! The wax room was decorated nicely, clean, and large enough for my 2 girlfriends to come in with me for support! Ksenia was GREAT! She was very patient and supportive! The pain was tolerable...definitely not as bad as I expected! I was very pleased with the results and booked my next appointment right in the shop! TIPS: Don't shave at least 3 weeks prior and take some Ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment. read more

This place is amazing! I got my first Brazillian back in September with Jasmine, and some things came up when I could not come back until this month, January. Jasmine is wonderful! She will talk to you the whole time and help you keep your mind off wax. She does a wonderful, in depth job. She is quick(30 minutes or less), and practically painless. This the best service ever! Tiffany is the best! I had my first ever wax back in October of 2015. Tiffany was wonderful. She made me feel very comfortable and worked quickly. I live out of state, so I tried waxing back home in Tennessee. The experience in Tennessee was very disappointing compared to my experience at Smooth in Norfolk. The difference in products used, procedure of the waxing was extremely different. The staff at Smooth obviously have much more education, training, and are more professional. The other place was not as neat or clean as smooth. Smooth made my experience much less painful.. (Almost pain free.) After experiencing such a wonderful establishment as Smooth, I can never go back to places whose standards aren't as high. I just wanted to thank Tiffany and the staff at Smooth for another wonderful experience. I will be moving to the area in a few months, and Smooth will be The Only place I use. I just had a brazilian with Nickie. She was amazing! I was expecting a painful process, but it hurt less than my first eyebrow wax. It went a lot faster than I thought as well. Nickie makes the process completely comfortable. She explains the entire process and has such a gentle touch. We had a normal conversation throughout the waxing. If you are plus size and are self conscience about coming to get waxed 'downtown' DON'T BE!! The manager Chanel and my esthetician Karie made me feel like any other woman when they walked in the door..special. The aroma when you walk in the door is intoxicating, It smells SO GOOD. The decor is simple and beautiful. and the waiting area was nice as well, making you feel relaxed. When I came in they had me fill out a form and I was good to go. Karie greeted me with a warm welcome and after I told her how nervous I was about my size she immediately turned off any negative thoughts/comments I could have had about being bigger and coming to get a Brazilian. Okay so I made an appointment to go here with my friend to get just our eyebrows waxed and as you walk in.. the place is so clean, so neat and tidy, and so so so CUTE. The customer service was amazing and as you're waiting for your appointment, they have tons of cute products to smell and take a look at! When it came time for my appointment, she walked me back into the room and the lighting was dim and there were candles lit and it smelled amazing and she was super sweet the whole time and even made genuine conversation with me and it was just a very relaxing and peaceful experience. I have very sensitive skin, so I let her know and she used a special hard wax on me and even trimmed and plucked extra hairs and applied a cooling aloe gel on top and my eyebrows had never looked so good ever. Today I went to Smooth for the first time! It was my first time getting a Brazilian Wax! What an awesome experience. I must admit, I was anxious at first, but I did my homework on Smooth and it sounded like the ideal place for the FIRST! Smooth is nestled in the discreet and classy Monticello Arcade in downtown Norfolk, The atmosphere is aromatic and quite inviting with two gorgeous chandeliers and a top notch receptionist! The waiting area was equally comfortable with displays of all their products. Starla was excellent. I was waiting for it to really really hurt, and it never did. It was all bearable. Quite frankly, I think getting the hair wax on my buttocks was more uncomfortable than I was expecting. I was very pleased and will only get waxed at Smooth.
