I've seen a couple waxers who no longer work here (due to moving or raising a baby- hope you two girls are doing great, if you ever see this!), and I now see Starla. She's so efficient & does a beautiful Brazilian to the forestry that I grow. She has such great conversation and I thoroughly enjoy seeing her every so often! I also get my upper legs waxed every so often, and she does a great job on those, too! If you are familiar with this part of Norfolk, you probably know that parking in this side of town can sometimes be challenge. There are about 4 parking spaces in front of the building or you can park across from it on the street. Booking was very simple and straight forward. Be prepared to pay for the service in it's entirety when booking. If you are booking as a couple, your guest will need to fill out the intake form in person because the online booking only allowed me to fill out one. Loved decor here. The Seafoam green gives it a nice touch and it matches their website. Super clean in here too. I had to use the restroom before we entered the sauna and I was very pleased with how neat and tidy it was We were directed to our room for the infared sauna. There are plenty of towels and robes for guests. I loved the sauna, it was really nice and relaxing for the both of us. The only thing that I didn't like was the little draft at the bottom of the door. This prevented the temperature from going up, but other than that, I felt amazing after. We will definitely be back.

I received the Standard Plus facial from Kailey back on July 3. It. was. everything. Kailey knows her stuff. Once I had changed and Kailey adjusted my headband I received a brief aromatherapy treatment. I've gotten plenty of facials before but this was the first time any aesthetician has ever done that. She placed the oil on her wrists and had me breathe deeply in and out before starting my service. It was the perfect touch because if you're like me, you're probably rushing to your appointments. My facial was amazing. This was my first service with Kailey but it won't be my last. She examined my skin before she began. I loved the fact that she answered all my questions and even gave my suggestions for different services to look into during the winter months. Extractions are always a love-hate experience for me but all of the congestion from my face was removed and my skin was so soft when I left. During the facial Kailey and I chatted about other treatments that would be great for my skin, how often I should be receiving facials, and my at-home routine. I'd also like to add that Kailey is a product wiz! When we were quarantined she helped me revamp my entire skin routine. I think we all dealt with maskne but I also believe my diet and stress caused my skin to go into panic or something. Kailey and I texted and talked over the phone about my skin and its needs. My whole regimen got a much-needed facelift and my skin is doing so much better. Anytime she recommends something for me (and no she doesn't sell products so no gimmicks there) I get it! Since then I have had minimal (and I mean minimal) breakouts and the texture of my skin has improved drastically. We're currently working on tone and hyperpigmentation and I'm excited to see those results. I'll be returning for another facial with Kailey at Get Well Soon the next time I'm back home. Check her out, your skin will thank you!

We appreciate yall! Xo, V+Z

The space itself is immaculate elegant yet warm, modern yet soothing but it's the feeling you get that truly sets it apart. There's an unmistakable energy of intention and love in every corner. This isn't just a spa. It's a sanctuary where self-care is honored, and clients are treated with the utmost respect and compassion. The heart of this experience, without question, is the owner. Her presence is gracious, genuine, and deeply reassuring. She took time real, uninterrupted time to speak with me, understand my needs, and guide me through the services with care and professionalism that was both refreshing and rare. Every question I asked was met with kindness, patience, and thoughtful explanation. I never once felt rushed or dismissed. Instead, I felt seen, heard, and valued not just as a client, but as a person. What moved me most was her quiet confidence and empathy. It was clear that this isn't just a business for her it's a calling. She brings a level of care that goes beyond surface beauty; she fosters trust, connection, and healing. Whether it was her gentle tone, her attentiveness, or the warmth behind her eyes, there was something deeply comforting in how she worked. In a world where service often feels transactional, this felt deeply personal. I cannot recommend Glitz Spa Bar highly enough. It's rare to find a space where both the service and the soul of the experience are equally beautiful. My name is Patrick Ogrady and my review comes from what I feel is most important when you need the full package of taking care of you well being, from spending most of my time in a stressful part of the world and overseas dealing in High Threat regions. Stress effects my skin and conditions that are worst than average Joe or Mary, I have been seeing the ladies from Skin A Medical Spa for over 7 years (cant get enough time there) for me its now part of my life, my first stop back in the USA is always to Norfolk, at Skin A Medical Spa, I usually go very early to my appointment and make it a day, the ladies put me in the back room (prop up the lounge chair) and I de stress and relax for 2 hours, then the staff and Doc say hi and I start my mental spa day, relaxed and ready for what they feel is best for me and my face, good conversation, great skin care or just some good ole fashion loving atmosphere which is the best, cant say enough how pleasant my time is and I enjoy hanging out, heck getting my skin and face done is a plus, cant pay enough for all the benefits that are done by just being there, good karma, positive staff and pleasant atmosphere, If you want to walk in and just say hi they are always there to provide what is needed, I can guarantee this, you will walk away with a smile and feeling better no matter how much or little time you spend but you will miss the friendly atmosphere once you depart and will look forward to your next appointment, so feel free to stop by and say hi, I am due back soon and cant wait to see the staff and get some much need rest and relaxation and of course some amazing skin karma that always makes me look years younger. read more

I am a male (overseas contractor) and was looking for a place to go and seek professional advice and try a few of the advancements in anti aging. I was impressed by the Skin A Medical Spa site and choose it by what I read and viewed. Once I entered the Spa, I have to say it was the most relaxing place I had been in a long time, the ladies are wonderful and very professional. They always take time to explain what all the products can do for you and what it make you look and feel like later. Having spent a few years in overseas I need a place to relax and rejuvenate, well this was the best decision I had made in years, its 2016 and usually the first stop back is Skin A Medical Spa, they are always flexible with my schedule and I usually get a hour to sleep in the most comfortable chair known to man, this is usually where they leave me until closing then I wake up refreshed and actually take care of my face too. All I can tell you is its a investment in looking amazing and feeling fantastic, the friendly smiles and wonderful staff is what makes this place very special. Doc is a amazing women and she has the ability to make you look fantastic and get you started on looking a few years younger, follow the guidelines and advice given and you will not go wrong with this investment. I cant wait to get back and enjoy a good hour sleeping. Looking forward to my next visit, its a wonderful place to call home away from home. This was my very first experience with skincare services, and I loved every bit of it! Everyone in Skin was super nice. Brittany was amazing, and I felt like I knew her before I ever stepped foot into the facility. She was so personable and made me feel very welcome. Margaret, the nurse practitioner, was very welcoming as well. Margaret and Julie (my aesthetician) were both very knowledgeable. Julie listened to my skincare concerns and customized my chemical peel accordingly. She made her personal suggestions, however, she was not pushy at all. I think that's what I liked the most. The extractions after my chemical peel were a bit uncomfortable at times, however, from my research, that's to be expected with extractions and facials. My skin feels amazing already! I cannot wait to go back for more skincare services!! Skin DEFINITELY has a loyal client in me! read more

I was a little scared at how dark my brows were initially, but as promised, they lightened to a perfect tint within a couple of days. So I arrived for my appointment today at 5 pm, I was taken right away by Mary. My hair was washed, conditioned, blow dried and finally braided in preparation for crochet braids. Now this is my first time having any kind of hair on my head that wasn't my own. So I dont know what to expect, so I am trusting the stylist. That was my first mistake. The style I asked for called for curly hair and she pulled out straight hair. So I asked and she assured me she would curl it to get the same look. My second mistake not leaving at that point. So I was quoted 3 hours, now it's 2am and she is "finished". Mind you, I have two bags of rods in my hair and no one wants me to have to spend 45 minutes under the dryer, so I am told to go home and complete the style myself. What. ....I have to get up at 6am. Let me remind you it's 2am and I am not even home yet. Needless to say it's now 3 am and I can't lay down because there are a million rods in my hair. So pissed off. I can't believe I paid for this, so I am asking the stylist questions. When did you last do crochet braids? A few months ago. Huh? I seriously think it was her first time. What a complete mess, I think she is still in hair school. So now I am questioning if she is a licensed stylist. I am beyond disappointed, this was my first and last time. I will update tomorrow with pictures and information after I reach out to management. Because words cannot express how I feel. Okay so it is 0845 and it took me 30 minutes to get all the rods out and the hair is still straight. WTH? I left a message for when they open. What a disaster. So here we are at 1230, my hair has been returned to it's normal status. Maureen was noticeably upset and apologize for what I endured. I was provided a full refund and the crochet braids were removed, my hair was washed and styled by Monika. Thank you Monika for coming in on your off day to rescue my tresses. I highly recommend the spa services, but I will pass on salon services.

CO2 is fairly aggressive, but with the care instructions I received and plan leaving the office, I was so ready for recovery! I'm SO excited for my results! I wish I had found this office during the fall/winter so I could've lasered my entire face! Excited to do treat more areas in the cooler months

I see her regularly for facials, laser hair removal, and Daxxify injections, and every single appointment has been such a positive experience. Chelsey is incredibly knowledgeable and makes me feel so comfortable no matter what service I'm getting. My skin has never looked better since starting facials with her, and the laser hair removal has been life-changing. I was a little nervous to try Daxxify at first, but she explained everything so thoroughly and made the process so easy--I love my results! Not only is she skilled and professional, but she's also kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about her clients. I always leave my appointments feeling refreshed, confident, and taken care of. If you're looking for someone who is truly amazing at what they do, Chelsey is the one. Highly recommend her and Ageless Skin Rejuvenation!

I absolutely LOVE this establishment for my facials and skin products! I am only sad I hadn't found…read morethem sooner! Today I had my second facial done by Christy. Both times I had "The Glow Up" facial. Christy is AMAZING. She is professional, has a wealth of experience, makes you feel comfortable, is knowledgeable about the products, is gentle on your face and gives the best massage as part of the facial experience! I was so relaxed I almost feel asleep. I love feeling pampered, if you need some self care, this is the place to go! I think the facials here are pretty affordable as compared to a couple of other places I have been where you have to pay extra for dermaplaning, I liked that my facial included this service. I love how the entire place is so clean, I love looking at all of their products, and love that some of the products have testers. They also sell items such as head bands, scrunchies, eye wands, make up sponges and much more. The receptions staff is pretty friendly! I didn't feel pressured to buy anything but I did end up buying a few things that I love using. TIP- make sure you bring cash to tip or pay your tip via Venmo, otherwise you can't tip. Besides facials they offer a wealth of other services such as massages, botox, microneedling, eyebrow care and more! I'd definitely recommend this place for facials!

For the price point, I received a tailored multi step treatment, my skin was truly glowing when I left, my technician was knowledgeable and kind, but allowed me to relax and I almost fell asleep.
