Very zen!! I was taken to the waiting area in the back which is dimmly lit, and has complimentary snacks, fruit, tea, and water. Abigail who was my masseuse met me to take me to my room. She was very professional, she spoke in a soft tone, and her energy was everything!! She's a vibe for sure!! The massage room was nice with relaxing music playing and essentially oil smells filled the room. The massage bed had a warmer which I appreciated. My massage was an hour long and it was amazing!! Abigail focused on my problem areas and really did a wonderful job. She asked if there were spots I did want focused on and the amount of pressure I wanted. Afterwards she met me with a cup of water. I felt wonderful afterwards. The bathroom was neat and clean. It's a nice facility and I definitely want to return for more services!! Check them out!!

Neither was addressed and pressure was light-medium at best. Arms and legs got a lot of attention but my arms and legs did not need attention. Somewhat relaxing for what it was but not what I asked for or feel like I paid for. Therapist also stopped a few times as if distracted. I almost asked if she was ok, then she came back to life and kept going. It was odd. Is that some energy healing modality? Products for sale were very scented, which I am sensitive to but massage used scent free products. Thank you. I'd try another service or different therapist with a specific therapeutic deep tissue or Thai massage focus. Maybe book more days in advance. The space is fantastic.

My husband booked a deep tissue massage for me for my birthday. We were just visiting so our friend…read morereferred this place to us. I regularly get deep tissue massages & was excited to get one for my birthday. The inside of this establishment looks much better than the outside. It is warm, welcoming, calming & clean just like a spa. They opened at 9am, my appt was scheduled for 9:15am. I was asked to choose my essential oil for my appt, then guided to sit in the waiting area. There are a set of mugs & the option to choose water or tea while I waited. Their restroom is beautiful & clean! Definitely gives spa vibes. My therapist walked into the building at 9:15am, which was inconvenient. She called me into my designated room, introduced herself by telling me her name then asked the standard questions (What is the goal of your appt today? What areas are we focusing on? Are there any areas to avoid? etc.) To be completely honest, She seemed a bit disengaged & I didn't really feel welcomed so I was a bit worried about how my session would go. Next, she stepped out the room to give me time to undress then came back a few minutes later. She started off very gentle in the beginning similar to a Swedish massage. After a few minutes passed she asked if the pressure was ok. Since I booked a deep tissue, I asked her to go deeper, she said ok but the pressure remained the same. I asked her again to go deeper, she said ok again and applied slightly more pressure. Again, I kindly told her to go even deeper. She said ok and more pressure was applied. I felt like I was bothering her/asking too much, so I didn't bother to ask her again to go deeper. I just wanted to get the service that I was paying for especially because it was my birthday so I was trying to have a relaxing day. After my session was finished, she stepped out & I was given time to get dressed. She met me outside of the door and gave me a cup of water. She then went over an after care plan that was basically suggestions to drink plenty of water & advice on how to loosen up my tight muscles by stretching. Overall it was a decent massage but I didn't appreciate the late arrival to my appt & the deep tissue experience.

From the start the experience felt a little confusing. When we arrived nothing was explained to us. We signed a paper and were simply gestured toward the chairs. During the scalp analysis they quickly ran the tool through your hair but didn't explain what they were seeing, only mentioned I had a few flakes in the back. I was told over the phone that my sister and I would have our messages together which I later found out that meant at the same time but in separate rooms. This wasn't what I expected. The massage for myself was just ok but not what I asked for. I requested medium pressure and the woman was extremely light to point that I barely felt it sometimes mainly on my shoulders, neck, and arms. Think of a feather being glided on your skin. She was a soft medium on my scalp. In the end they're supposed to blow dry your hair but neither my girl or my sisters were fully dried. We ended up walking out in the freezing cold with wet hair which I wasn't too happy about because I had told my girl earlier that I had a treatment on my hair a few months back that if left wet creates a negative smell so it must be completely dried. She had told me this wouldn't be an issue. When my girl tried to show me my scalp in the end, the machine kept turning off and she just said she was sorry and it was already acting up earlier in the day. So who knows the results. I would probably say I would have given a 2 out of 5 based on my own experience but I'm giving it a 3 since my sister truly enjoyed her message and the woman who worked on her did a great job.

Anyways, there's different head massages and facials they offer. I booked for a 60 minute massage. It started with a deep look into your scalp. The lady that serviced me was super sweet with a low speaking voice, so I did not hear or understand what she was telling me. I know she said I have oily skin, in which I 100% don't. So that was weird. We proceeded to the back and that's where the relaxing begins. It's a private space, calming music and the sound of water. The blue mood light puts you into an instance tranquility. You're able to pick your own scent that they will use on your scalp. The massage was good but it just felt like it was just a good scalp cleaning you can get from your hair stylist. Not one I would say is a stress reliever, but everyone is different. Afterwards, they will dry your hair with a Dyson hair dryer. I have wavy hair, so I didn't get this done as I air dry anyways. From beginning to end was 45 minutes, so I didn't really get 60 minutes service. Maybe that includes undressing and dressing?? Don't know... The staff were super friendly and helpful. They did mentioned they will be opening a 2nd location soon somewhere near Chesapeake/Virginia Beach boarder.

We had 9am massages booked and got there around 830am. We were given a tour of the Spa area which included women's locker room, a salt room, a lounge room, and access to the indoor pool and the massage areas. The women's locker room had lockers which were decent in size. They give you robes and shoes. The locker room also had a whirlpool (hotel tub) room, sauna, showers, bathrooms, and vanities with hair dryers to get changed in. They let you be ij uour robes all day and walk around, as well as even walk to their Beach Club in them. Towels are provided. The salt room wasn't really a salt room. We all got 50min massages. I did the "relaxed" massage with the Himalayan Stone upgrade. You would think that the Himalayan stones would be similar to a hot stone massage where they put them on your back. It was not. Upon entering the massage room, the masseuse takes the time to ask if there are any places to avoid or focus on. My masseuse was Stephanie. After getting onto the massage table, I can feel that there was warmth, which was relaxing, but not overwhelming. The massage table what state of the art. It was very comfortable, and the masseuse just the table to have a bend in the knees, and different positions instead of just laying down. Stephen applied the perfect amount of pressure during my massage. Back to the Himalayan stones- the warm stones she used in her hands which had salt on them, which she rubbed over the different areas of the body during the massage. Stephanie flawlessly transitioned from not having these stones in her hands to the stones not being in her hands. I definitely recommend getting spa services here. After the girls in my bridal party, also got their massages, it appeared we all had the same incredible experience with our respective masseuses .

For my birthday month, I decided to dedicate each Friday to a self-care/self-love activity. My…read morefirst stop was Pint of Peace, located in the Lynnhaven North shopping center. I was specifically intrigued by their beer baths, and after researching the benefits, I decided to try one. I initially attempted to book online, but while the site mentioned a 50% deposit, it required 100% payment upfront, so I called to finalize the reservation. I used a 20% discount since it was my first-time booking. I decided to schedule the Brewing Calm Immersion, my session included 20 minutes in the sauna, a 60-minute massage, and a 60-minute soak. When I arrived, the owner greeted me and showed me my bath soak options: Hops Brew, Barley Blend, or Chai soak. I decided to try the hops brew which was a blend of hops, brewers yeast, malt, oats and Epsom salt. I also chose Eucalyptus, my favorite aromatherapy, for the diffuser used during my bath. After that I selected my drink from a selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic options, which was also served during my bath. After making all my selections, I was escorted to a private room where, I changed into the robe and slippers they provided. They also provide access to Lockers with keys for you to secure your valuables.   My Experience  Sauna- Before entering they gave me a cup of ice water. I love the fact that I had the ability to adjust the temperature and lighting. However I wished there was some music in the background because sitting in silence for 20 minutes felt very long. Massage- I found the massage relaxing; however, the Pressure was hit or miss and I also feel like certain areas were neglected like my feet and head. Beer bath/soak - My favorite part of the day.  They pre-steeped the brew so the ingredients were already activated. I was originally concerned that the bath water wasn't going to be warm enough but I had 100% control of the temperature. When you enter the room they already have music playing and I had the ability to change the genre if I wanted. They also provide you with 2 large ice cube for you to massage your face and cool you down if you get too hot. After they get you all set up they dim the lights which was the final step in setting the relaxing mood. The Soaking tub was huge and I was just sinking into it. Loved, loved, loved it! Overall I truly enjoyed my time spent & experience at Pint and Peace. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for a day of pampering and I am looking forward to returning for another soak. This was a great kick off to my birthday month of self-care.

We did the sauna treatment, 60 minute massage, and bath and it was AMAZING! When we arrived, we got to choose our bath treatment - there were 3 options. Since I've never had a beer bath, that was what I chose. We also got the option of tea, wine, beer, or water for our bath. We also got to choose an essential oil for the diffuser during our bath. After making our choices, we changed into robes and went into the sauna. From there, we got 60 minute massages, and mine was AMAZING! I asked for firm pressure, and that's exactly what I got! After our massages, it was bath time. It was really neat because the treatment is actually in a bag that you put into the tub. It isn't beer but the dry ingredients that go into beer I'm guessing. I loved that they cut off the big lights and there's the option of a small switch light. There is also meditation music and the diffuser that adds to the relaxation. They also give you 2 big ice cubes to use on your face, neck, or just to simply cool the water if needed. I used on my face, and it felt SO good. I like that we had our baths in separate rooms but were able to move the sliding divider in the wall if we wanted so that we could still talk to each other! This was a 2 hour experience and I would definitely do it again. It was the perfect way to relax with a friend or take some time to yourself for a little self care!
