The movers did not show up until 11:30 and called me at 10:30 and said they had to go pick up the truck at the rental place. For one. I was a little bothered that they're renting a truck and why that rental truck wasn't picked up way earlier. So at 11:30 I was expecting three people to show up. Which that is what I was quoted, there was a man and his wife who is actually a waitress and not a mover. I first was told that oh you have more than a hundred boxes and I said oh no I don't because I literally counted them. You can look at my boxes and see numbers on them. But I kept hearing you have more than a hundred boxes. Which I did not. I didn't have many big items. I had extra beds or extra dressers and I didn't have a washer and dryer or any type of appliance going. Some of the things I was quoted for I did not have moved after all. I know I wasn't out of town move but my move took from 11:30 to 6:30. I was only an hour away so it wasn't like the drive took forever. I just expected to have more people show up. I expected for them to have the truck ready and not have to go rent one. The two people that came were very nice, I will say that. Went a lot smoother and I would have had more help that afternoon to evening time from my family if we could have had this move done a lot quicker. But my family had to leave and go home because it was so late. I'm surprised I didn't receive any kind of review to fill out. I mean I guess it's okay if you want to use them, don't believe them when they say they're going to send x number of people and then they don't. + Don't let them get away with showing up at 11:30 when your show up time is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 and it wasn't because they had a move before mine. They waited almost an hour when they got to the rental truck place. I mean I guess that all should have been disclosed to me when they booked my move that they were going to go rent a truck and just leave it up here. I would have said well then I should be the first one and you should be here no later than 10:00.

We guessed how many boxes etc it would be, but we weren't done packing and we had no earthly clue. We are a family of 5. We have never used a moving company before, and I was told that it would be less stress by family and friends. We were quoted for a 6 hour move over the phone. We told them we had to be out by 5:00 pm the day of the move. They gave us a window from 8:30-9:30 am. They showed up at 9:15. On the way out to our house, we were told we had to take our TVs off the wall, remove like lightbulbs and shades from lamps, and totally disassemble the crib, per the contract. (We never received a contract, so we were rushing to get it done). Later we were told we also had to disassemble our bed and the bunk beds. At first, the move went well. They were moving quickly and got the furniture and a lot of boxes loaded quickly. Then they slowed down. I saw them talking on phones and smoking. There were several things they told us they couldn't move. (This could have been in the contract we didn't receive). After they had the first load ready to go, I was told that the stuff they couldn't move would require us to hire a u-haul and move ourselves! But since we were in such a time crunch, they got permission to come back for another load. Meanwhile I'm being told by the lead guy (when hubby wasn't around) how they were taking a hit on this job, how they had to cancel 2 jobs after ours. "Another unhappy customer" he said. Our move ended up taking 8 hours, and we were barely out of our old house in time. I was at the old house the entire time. When I got to our new house, (15 mins away), I was SHOCKED to see allllll of our boxes were piled in our garage!!!! They didn't sort the boxes! They tossed our master bed in the garage! Our couch and recliner backs were all thrown in a pile on the floor! It was a disaster! (They disassembled the couch and recliner) We called the company the next day (Saturday). Hubby had to call them 3 times, and finally we got a text saying the owner would call us on Monday. After hubby explained the whole situation on Monday morning, the owner offered to send a crew to sort boxes. (Gee, what do you think we were doing all weekend? We sorted them already!). The owner said they did the work, and sorting boxes would have taken even longer and would have cost us more money. (Ok, but we would have gladly paid extra to have them sorted!) There was a big lack of communication. So the owner said he would comp us the tip hubby left, since we were not happy with the service we received. (Hubby had no idea if he should leave a tip or not since we have never used a moving company before!). I'm grateful they got us moved in time, but the experience was terrible. As of this writing, we still have not been comped. He said it could take 3-5 business days. The owner called us last Monday morning, and today is Monday afternoon. I also have pictures of how they left everything.

However the unloading was chaos and they just put stuff everywhere. The furniture they room which is the right thing to do but the boxes just went here and there and trying to find what I need is just turning into a big problem. The guys nice and polite and courteous but I think that they could've been a little more organized with the unloading and look at the boxes OK this box goes in this room you know this box goes there because all the boxes were labeled so they would know. Doubtful I will use them again but might consider.

If that is normal process why don't you send 3 guys? I paid $650 for a move my friends and I had to help with. Mike offered to fix my dresser and give me a check for $65. RIDICULOUS!!! It was very frustrating to see that he won't own up to his error online. I understand social media goes a long way... but to lie and then report as we never did business when I posted my receipts??? Like I said we all have those kind of days; but I would not recommend. Not professional enough for my liking. I also don't appreciate trying to pawn off the bad service to another moving company when I know who I did service with. Erasing one bad review is just like trying to erase history... it still happened.

Brian, Austin and crew showed up 30 minutes early, did a quick walk through the house and got to work. A 100 degree Day, 2 Truck, a crew of 6 they moved us from a house and storage unit to our new place in 6 and 1/2 hours. At 12:30pm I got an email (pictured below) saying that they could no longer complete my move and that they are "shutting down"? Waited 4 hours just to get cancelled on. No phone conversation, poor communication and it was the last day of my lease, they left me with a 0 possible chance to find a new company and move within the same day. I've been a customer at Lets Get Moving for almost 7 years they have moved me multiple times - good to know that customer loyalty doesn't mean a single thing to this company.
