Dr. Chon is simply the best! Great bedside manner. He's very good at explaining what's going on and ensuring you are comfortable during your procedure. He really helps you understand what you're about to have done and allows for you to ask any questions. Also, Dr. Chon makes great conversation! You can tell he really loves getting to know his patients and genuinely cares. He remembers past conversations and always asks about them. The staff there are amazing and always super helpful! Deysi always sends me copies of my claims and receipts right away as the dental insurance I have sometimes requires a pdf copy. Everyone that I've had the pleasure of seeing there (dental assistant, front staff, etc) are always kind and courteous. The office is very clean and modern. You can see your dental X-rays and photos on the big screen in your room. The best part about finishing up a visit there is they hand you a hot towel! I came here as a new patient after having a bad experience elsewhere. Everyone from the front staff, to the hygienist, check-out staff, & Dr. Chon was nice, informative, and didn't try to upsell me on any services. I didn't have to wait long before being called back & I also didn't have to wait long to get my teeth checked & cleaned. My appointment was scheduled at 5:30pm, I got there at least 15-20 mins early & got out by 6:15pm on a weekday. They're not open on the weekends but they are open late one day during the week. Good place but don't expect your job done. They are only in the referral business. I was referred to David & Stefan and Fife who also don't do a complete job. The dentist drilled through my perfectly ok bridge to do 2 root canals. Now I need a new bridge the insurance cannot cover as my entire $2500 benefit got sucked up for the 2 root canals and I owed $90 on top for my exams. The speciality is way too compartmentalized. And nothing gets done in one sitting. Think David didn't know I will need a new bridge which he could have removed? read more

Such a joke. Rosemary in the front office ruined the experience for me and my family. Dr's are amazing but the front office staff is horrible. Rosemary has an attitude almost every time you get on the phone with her, she harasses you almost like a credit collector if you have an upcoming or if you've missed an appointment. Remember it all starts at the front door and rosemary needs to find a new job if she's not happy at the one she's at. She was also quick to erase all my future appointments going forward because I was upset on the phone, she had zero sympathy for what I was going through in my life causing me to miss my appointments and having to reschedule. The least she could have done is try and show me I was a valued patient and rescheduled my appointment. Dentist appointments aren't cheap and the fact that they have someone with so much attitude at the front desk is alarming. Sorry to the Dr's but I'll find a new home to get dental work done. read more

I went to this dentist for the first time and I made a mistake about my appointment it was supposed to be March 21, 2021 and I called my orthodontist and they said my brace's appointment to get my wires removed was February 21st. Smooth Dentistry was able to accommodate me by putting me as their new patient. And I was able to get my wires removed, and get my x-ray done, and my teeth cleaned. The staff was very friendly. The doctor even examined and explained why some of my teeth where having pain and shows why I have feelings in the past and what they had to monitor and watch out for. read more

After almost 6months of worst experience in this clinic I find time to give my honest review . I found this clinic since I am browsing for the highest rating clinic near my place . On my first day here , I can say service was so perfect. From the Spanish lady who took my X-rays to the lady doctor I have nothing to say but I felt personal service so superb. They gave me 5 way process to finish my only concern or teeth filling. Although I found it a long process I followed the advise and took weekly schedule . On my 1st & 2nd visit everything is good. Then on my 3rd scheduled visit I even added my daughter to come . The lady in front who did the scheduling did my schedule and even gave me a card to remember my schedule . When I went on my scheduled day with my daughter and waited for my turn the lady just told me " I don't think you have appointment today " and I asked her what do you mean ? Then she told me oh your schedule is not this week but next week, which she was not even apologetic to it . It's like really ? You know how hard it is to ask day off with my work for this? And she just said sorry it's next week. So I felt really upset and on my way home I called to cancel all my appointments since this is vey unprofessional . This lady's job is to give schedule to patient making sure all is in order . It's easy for her to just say sorry but on my part it is a big hassle to me . And even when I called her on the phone since I'm very upset I don't feel and apologies from her since she even told me when I'm voicing out my disappointment to her that she's the one who even raise her voice and got mad at me . Manager and even the lady doctor called me and left a voicemail to me and wanted me to come back but I decided never to come back since I was very disappointed with their staff . The owner should check on your staff who represent your clinic coz you guys working inside was really amazing but these people ruin that . Dr. Chon is my new favorite dentist! He's so friendly and genuinely cares about my dental health. His hands were light and steady and he cleaned my teeth really well. My dad was a dentist and used to maintain my teeth and I know (well I have an idea) when a cleaning is quality and done right. If you are as OCD as me with your teeth, this is the clinic to go! Let me start off by saying, this place was sooooo great that I am considering going by after work and getting a photo of the front or something just to make this review feel proper. I don't even yelp much - or review much (I went on a fantastic trip to mexico recently and still didn't review which I feel bad for) but goodness they seriously were beyond 5 stars so I had to do it. It all started with Kyle on the phone when I made the appointment. She was very personable and an absolute pleasure to work with. When I say that, I mean an actual person who talks to you with real conversation skills, not a robot on the phone performing a task that they didn't really want to do, but have to do so they can pay their rent, person. I scheduled our appointments with ease and even complimented her about her phone abilities because things like that should not go without notice. Fast forward a few days and I arrive on time for my appointment. ((Sidenote: I kind of don't want this place to blow up because everyone knows when a place is popular - the waiting sucks - Kind of like Master Kims Korean BBQ in this same shopping center - which I still haven't been to because the I heard the lines are blackfriday-ish and we have an almost 2 year old NOPE)) I am confident in their team so keep pace even with a growing clientele. So I fill out the forms, which I needed my wife for and therein you'll find my only gripe with the place. I need digital forms. My microwave is connected to internet, my thermostat is "smart" and sets itself by itself and turns the heat off in the cold mornings(found that out this morning when it was freezing), and I can code something using my phone as a remote computer working on a system in New Jersey while laying down in an airport - but my penmanship is disrespectful to paper. Probably should learn how to write, but the good thing is I finally got the front and back part done (Kyle even crossed out the insurance part since she had the info - would have added 20 minutes to my checkin) I also don't read instructions so I checked "not pregnant/breastfeeding" smh. I informed Kyle that I also have another insurance but don't know the number or name. She asked me the company and said she could bill it next time if needed when I come back with information. Carissa brings me to the back and starts to explain the process and asks questions about my dental history. Disclaimer: she had me take my glasses off for the Xray so I was somewhat blind so I everything looked super new. The technology they use was DOPE! I stood there holding on to some contraption while this thing spun around me like I was at the airport. She was very comforting once she got the other xray thing out. That one thing that goes in your mouth that you have to hold in place with the soft tissue on the bottom of your mouth. Whatever that thing is called. I usually hate it. We got the pictures and headed back to the chair - standard chair - pretty comfy, LED lights. Carissa offered Netflix but I wouldn't be able to see the TV but I should have had her put on Ted Bundy so she would think I was even more weird than I already probably seemed. The dentist Lynh comes in and explains what she seen on the xray and the process for deep cleaning and the benefits. I really felt taken care of, instead of taken advantage of. (you know how some dentists seem like sales agents pitching products that most people need, but do it in a way that feels.....so MLM...(MultiLevel Marketing...you know what I mean..friends that contact you from Kindergarten asking if you have life insurance and supplements...yep..them...) Kyle even tracked down my other insurance! Score! Explained all my benefits and billing was clear. Lynh and Carissa hooked me up with the most comfortable root planing clean ever. I didn't even have a pool of saliva in the back of my throat just chilling there asking me to gag because Carissa was attentive and made sure to -- get it. Idk how to put that.. but she did it. Lynh was veryyyy persistent and thorough when getting the tartar stuff out. probably shouldn't have been there but my last dentist and their staff was less than satisfactory.. DMV type workers who hate being there..Always thought those people should learn code and leave the customer service people to those gigs. Anyway, after Lynh was done she left me with all the details and even wrote up a report so I wouldn't have to forget to tell my wife something about the visit. Last touch, Carissa brought out a lavender wipe for my mouth and face to freshen up. Pretty nice touch to end an experience there that was memorable. Next week my wife will be in for her visit so I made sure to tell Lynh to count all those gum lengths, and plane her roots just for me... Thank you to the team at Smooth Dentistry. First,I want to give a special thanks to office manager Kyle! She went above and beyond and gave next level care for me. Had my first appointment here and my experience was absolutely wonderful! For starters, the office is clean and modern. Right when you walk in there's someone to greet you as well as a small sitting space and an area for refreshments. As soon as I walked in Kyle got me everything to sign and fill out which was a quick and easy process. I sat down to wait for the dentist but to my surprise about 1 min later Dr. Hoang came out to get me, it was super fast! We went to the back and she introduced herself as well as went over the plan for the appointment that day which was really nice because it made it so I knew what to expect during the entire visit. After going over everything, the dental assistant took me to do the xrays which was an easy process. Afterwards, I waited a few minutes in the chair for Dr.Hoang to go over the results for the xrays and do the exam. As soon as we were done the dental assistant was waiting right behind her to do my cleaning which was awesome. There was really no waiting between things so the appointment moved quickly with no delays. Unfortunately for me I'll be back next week for some fillings but knowing how great this office is and how nice the staff is, it makes it a pleasant experience to look forward to. I had been seeing my previous dentist for over 20 years. For a variety of reasons that are unnecessary to disclose here, I lost confidence in his care. Finding myself in pain with a serious dental problem to treat, I set out to find a new dentist to manage it. It left me feeling very nervous and overwhelmed. I have an underlying health condition that makes this dental work a bit more complicated. I worried that it would be difficult to find a Dr I could trust to manage my care, especially considering my special needs. I consulted with another practice first and didn't feel they were a good fit, so naturally my anxiety over finding a new dentist only grew. I then called Smooth Dentistry and it was a perfect fit. I knew from the very first phone call with Carissa that this was going to be a better experience. She took the time to listen to my needs (I'm sure I rambled a lot) and she got me scheduled quickly. My appointment went perfectly. Dr Chon listened patiently as I explained my medical history and current treatment needs. He took great interest in my unique medical history and even explained he had done previous research on my condition. At the risk of sounding over dramatic, it feels like finding Dr Chon was part of some divine intervention. He expressed a sincere concern for my situation and was genuinely enthusiastic about participating in my care. I feel 100% confident in his ability. I can't even express how thankful I am to have found him. I left his office that day with a HUGE burden lifted off my chest. Even though I had only committed to a consult, Carissa had arranged to set aside time on his schedule to have my cleaning and routine exam done at the same appointment, should I choose to do so. Dr Chon proceeded with a gentle but very thorough cleaning. Elsa provided the same thoughtful and delicate care. She gave me great advice on how to manage a little part of my gum that's prone to inflammation. At checkout Kyle was kind enough to help me to better understand by insurance coverage. She even answered some general questions I had in reference to services/insurance payments with other providers. My hubby mentioned that in between her duties they shared pleasant conversation while he was waiting for me to finish up. Literally every, single, person here exceeded my expectations. Oh and incidentally, they beat the price of other providers for the work not covered under my insurance. Not my main concern but it definitely helps. Kyle is also working with my insurance company in an effort to reduce my other out of pocket expenses. She's amazing! I really just can't overstate this...I was scared and anxious. Pressured to find a new dentist quickly while I was in pain and needing to make big decisions about the course of my care. Ive been going for 2 years now and I look forward to the visit. Firstly, the doctors themselves do the cleaning, not an assistant. This is huge, this is rare. Second they operate in a very new facility, everything is clean and modern. Lastly, I like how they are easy going. I didnt want an X-ray every visit (6 months), but the other dentist office I went before this (shall remain unnamed but they are in a chinese food plaza!) gave me a lot of talk... "we are not responsible if there is a problem, blah blah, the X Ray is virtually nothing radiation wise... etc." Okay, granted those comments may be true, but its my body and Im okay with 1/year but not twice and I understand that really, you simply want to bill Insurance for the extra XRay, just be honest and stop pushing me on this! The office itself is very welcoming, from the refreshments offered in the waiting room, ceiling-mounted TVs over patient chairs, and a hot wash towel and bottled water when you're finished. - FRIENDLY, ATTENTIVE and COMMUNICATIVE DR. AND STAFF FOCUSED ON CARE AND COMFORT: Dr. Chon, Holli at Front Desk, and the Dental Assistants who worked on me, make you feel right at home and taken care of. They are always checking in and making sure you are kept in the loop throughout your visit. Pre and post visit, they also stay in touch with you to make sure everything runs smoothly. - PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT : Dr. Chon and Assistants worked really well together throughout my visit (2 sessions of deep cleanings and fillings). After 15 years of living in Las Vegas & trying out a handful of dentist, I can officially say that I have found "the one!!" Dr. Chon & his staff are amazing!! I woke up one day with a swollen face... called around panicked to several places & was blessed to find this gem. They got me in that day. Dr. Chon prescribed me an antibiotic & got me back in a week later for a root canal/crown fitting. It was my first root canal & I have to admit I was pretty nervous. I walked out of there thinking, either this guy is a magician or people have lied to me my entire life about how painful root canals are?! Seriously, there was NO PAIN! I went back today for my permanent crown fitting & got 2 fillings & a cleaning. It was quick & once again pain free. I won't even get into the costs!! Just know that for the first time ever in a dentist office, I don't feel like I'm being taken to the cleaners!! If you are looking for a dentist, please give them a try! After moving from the east side of Las Vegas to the southwest side of town, I did not want to have to drive 45 minutes each way to visit the dental office I had previously been going to for simple routine cleanings. After I did a bit a research and compared with my dental plan, I found Smooth Dentistry and am I glad that I did. First off, the office is brand new. New equipment, new chairs, new everything. The office is extremely clean (as it is brand new) but the atmosphere was fantastic. Very easy going, very friendly, professional but not stiff, just an overall excellent operation. Dr. Chon was a great help in determining the next steps in my "dental health" and the front office person laid out a financial plan for me that actually worked. That is the other part of my recommendation of this office. Smooth Dentistry and its staff do what is right for the patient because they care. The financial plan they created for me fit my needs and I felt the prices were completely fair. I have not had that experience before. My prior dental office would charge me high prices and then expect me to finance it with their in-house financing (that carried interest rates significantly above my credit cards). So aside from over-charging, they were making a killing on the interest! Talk about a double dip. All in all, Dr. Chon is my new dentist and will continue to be as such.
