My husband and I loved the Smoking Rose! We will definitely return. The atmosphere professional but left a feeling like home!

Smokin Rose- named form from Quentin (friends call him Q) daughter- kendel Rose. The place used to be an old cab office/house. BTW Q is the owner. The slogan: Beautiful lies and Ugly Truths The atmosphere- Q set the tone to have this safe and chill space where folks can gather and speak about any and all while grabbing a smoke and drink. My friend and I chilled w him tonight and its like we made another friend/ brother in Christ. I mean it was the best down time ever spent! Drinks- you will find Bourbon, Whiskey, tequila, modelo, and a pale ale here. There's a whole list from rare to good to best. Cigars- these cigars fall under the boutique collection. Q went to a cigar fair in Tampa, FL and came back with ones that are not as easy to come by. All in all. Chill vibes all around. Cozy as well. Nice leather seats from his dads church. Amazing owner. I recommend to get to know our friend Q. You ever hear the expression: "the clothes make the man" ? Well in this situation its reverse.. The man makes the speak easy.

The atmosphere of the sweet spot and service was over the top! Highly recommend! My favorite was the antique design through out.

The staff at that location has always been welcoming, professional, and customer-focused, which is why yesterday's experience at the downtown Charleston location was especially disappointing. On Saturday afternoon, May 23, I visited the downtown location with my brother and my nephew. Shortly after walking in, the manager on duty informed us that my nephew's "gym shorts" violated the dress code and asked us to leave. I understand that businesses have the right to establish dress standards, especially cigar lounges that want to maintain a certain atmosphere. That said, the way the situation was handled came across as rude and unnecessarily dismissive. There was no effort to handle the conversation with professionalism or hospitality, especially considering we had just walked in and intended to spend time and money there. What surprised me most was how little value seemed to be placed on customer relationships. After the amount of business and loyalty I've shown to the brand over time, the interaction left me genuinely questioning whether I'll return at all. The contrast between the welcoming atmosphere at Point Hope and the experience downtown was significant and disappointing.

It sets the tone immediately, and the festive energy carries straight through the meal. We kicked things off with Bloody Marys and a Morning Fog -- simple, classic, and done right. For starters, we shared the Hula Hoisin Wings. They were definitely on the heavier side with the hoisin, but still absolutely delicious. The Mistletoe Mango Tuna Poke Tacos were a standout. They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together. Don't let the bar-like atmosphere fool you -- Prohibition is far from your typical bar food or bar scene. There's a great space in the back, and the elevated menu makes it absolutely worth the visit. A festive, flavorful, all-around fantastic experience.

The waitress was indifferent and seemed as they we were bothering her ....which is fine, as I was equally "bothered" by her and her attitude. I liked the bar and restaurant and the menu was solid. Our service would have made this 5 stars but we have lots of other choices on King Street that will have staff more excited for our business.
