Very dissapointed. This place has really gone downhill. I just left the parts department for the second time. Both times I was kept waiting for about 20 minutes. Long enough for several salesman to ask if any body had helped me. Both times the parts guy left the counter and disappeared. I was the only custOmer in there. I was charged 114 dollars for 2 tubes and rim strip which is obscene prices. I noticed that one of the bags was opened but I did not complain. I had to return because the first tube leaked. The other may be junk too, don't know. They would not replace it and he was rude about it. I hope you enjoy this last time of ripping me off. read more

We had a great experience at Smokin'! I came here with my family to purchase a few things and they had the LARGEST selection of items/motorcycles. It felt like walking into a mall with how large the building. We came here for some North Carolina merchandise and we left with arm fulls of things! The staff was very attentive and friendly. They chatted with us for some time before we had to hit the road again. It looks like they have a lot of events at this location at too. It was a very pleasant experience and we will for sure be stopping in again very soon. Everyone was so nice! read more

TreeHunnit... every Harley Rider knows what that means. Need an oil change? Probably around $300. Need a new tire? Probably about $300. Well, Harley is a specialized product, and they do have a lock on their riders, don't they. But, they're also pretty good folks, and they do run specials. I took advantage of this to put some new rubber under my butt since the old wheels were getting a biiiiit wiggly. The service folks helped me find the right tires for the promo, gave me some good advice on what other maintenance needed to be done now and what I might need to consider down the road for safety and bike longevity. I'll most likely be back here for future work - checking the specials board of course. read more

My husband took his bike here for cosmetic repairs after a minor accident. Picked it up today, 6 months later, and we are extremely disappointed, it is not the same bike we purchased brand new in Sturgis, 2020. No calls to say, "we can't recreate the pin striping and decals like it was, but we're going to cut the cost by _______", or "we know a guy", just "it's all done and ready to pick up". They happily took every dime from the insurance plus our deductible. EXTREMELY disappointed with this dealer, we won't be back, and we will share our experience will all of or fellow riders. I'll be happy to update my review once they reach out to take care their disappointing work. read more

A great motorcycle dealership. They have a huge selection of motorcycles, the largest in the Carolina's. The staff and sales team are awesome. Very helpful! Also if you are having your bike serviced there is a restaurant and bar upstairs so stop by there and have a beer and some lunch. They have daily specials. Highly recommend! read more

Was in the market for a used bike for the wife and was blown away by this dealership. Just the number of bikes in stock and on hand was impressive. Sales was great, answering all my questions without being pushy, and I really think we got a good deal. The motorclothes area is extremely well stocked with a variety of items, and all and all the dealership puts every dealership in the Charlotte area to shame. Highly recommend! read more

My first experience buying a bike here was fantastic. My second, could NOT have been worse. Never again. They didn't bother to check the payoff on the bike I was trading in, which I bought from them and set up all the financing through Harley Davidson Financial. So when I found out on the day I was supposed to pick up my new bike that they hadn't even factored that in and that all the numbers that we'd gone over were completely wrong, I wasn't thrilled, but that much is an honest mistake. What's NOT an honest mistake is that the Sale Manager, Andrea, "fixed" the numbers, after which I was essentially going to be paying the entire balance of the existing loan, getting nothing for my trade-in and pay for the new bike on top of it. So I would be giving them my bike, paying off the outstanding 12k on it, plus the 14k for the new bike, and the 7k trade-in value of my current bike conveniently disappeared in the fun by math. Andrea wanted me to take out a 28k loan on a 14k bike! So I would be paying for two bikes and only getting one, giving Smokin' Harley a free bike to resell. What kind of possible sense does that make? Especially given that I was preapproved through Truliant at an interest rate less than half of what I had been paying to Harley Financial. No one in their right mind would make that deal. I'm guessing that's why Andrea's first statement when she called me back after she "fixed" their mistake was to ask if I wanted her to send the bill of sale to my bank, BEFORE SHE EVEN TOLD ME WHAT THE NUMBERS WERE. Honest mistakes are one thing. Crooked math is another. I have to admit, I am very surprised and VERY disappointed. I thought a lot of this place. Apparently I could not have been more wrong. It would take a small miracle for me to do business with them again after this. I'd love to see it made right, but I doubt it even can be. read more

I drove 110 miles to Smokin' to purchase a bike that day. I had my OTD price based on a ton of research. I found a great price at a GA dealership but wanted something closer to home. On my way, I called and spoke with a female sales associate and told her what I was looking to pay for a '16 Slim. She said she would have to run it by her manager and she'd call me back. I asked how long and she said five minutes. I arrived at Smokin' about twenty minutes later. A heavily bearded guy (Wade?) was sitting at the desk immediately as you enter, apparently too engrossed in surfing the net than greeting a potential customer. I walked around for a few minutes until I had to go back to the entrance to ask him for help. He told the saleswoman I spoke with over the phone that I was there and she was surprised (most likely because she was suppose to call me back fifteen minutes ago with information and never got around to it). There were no other customers in the dealership. Anyway, I sat down at her desk and she took my offer to Cyrsten, the Salesfloor & Internet Manager. I was kind of excited because I am a female rider, this was going to be my first HD purchase, and I was dealing with two women ... total girl power! Well, I was invited into Cyrsten's office, where Cyrsten told me that if I found the bike at the price I mentioned, I should go and buy that bike from said dealership. She continued by stating that if any place is really going to sell it to me that cheap, I should buy it, then turn around and sell it for a profit because that's a hell of a deal. In other words, she didn't believe me. Even worse, she gave me an OTD that was basically MSRP + fees + taxes. No serious negotiation. No asking what she could do to earn my business. No superficial bonding of women excited to sell to another woman rider. Nothing ... nada. Cool. I bought a '16 Slim from Cox's. Go and see Dan and tell him Bray sent you. I won't get any sort of referral bonus. ...After physically visiting seven dealerships in two days, Dan at Cox's (and the ENTIRE Cox's family, especially Stephen) treated me significantly better than Smokin'. And for that, Cox's will always be the first HD dealer to get my business. read more

We had bikes shipped from Seattle to Smokin and these guys where completely fantastic at making sure we were all road ready. If I lived in the area, this would absolutely be my dealer of choice. read more

The worse experience I have ever had, I purchased a set of APE Hangers for my 06 Electra Glide in January, the clutch gable started leaking I took the bike back in May 09, because they said they needed it for a couple of days, needless to say I hadn't herd anything about my bike. I took a ride up their on a Friday 13, to hear them say they are e-mailing the company to see who was going to pay for the part, I explained to them why is this not warranted , the bike didn't leak till I got the APE Hangers installed, I was upset no one called I had to do all the calling to see what was going on with my bike. So the weekend passed . I called bike on Tuesday 17, and still the same thing (we are emailing the company). So Finally I called back on a Thursday for them to tell me that my bike is ready and what my bill was. I just felt like the customer service sucked, and why did I have to call to check up on my motorcycle. Someone should have notified me on what was going on instead of leaving me out in left field. And to charge me after having my bike for two weeks, just a slap in the face. read more
