I came by here around 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon to get a tire rotation. I bought tires from discount tire but the wait was too long. One location had a 2-2.5 hour wait and another had a 1hr or so wait. I called Battleground Tire first before coming by and was told they could squeeze me in, which was awesome. I was told it would be $25. Battleground Tire is located on the corner of pisgah church and battleground. There is a sign that says Nappa Auto center which definitely confused me. However, it does say Battleground Tire on the building itself. Inside, Anthony assisted me. He definitely had a sense of humor, which was nice. I had to give typically name, address, and car info to check in and get work done. They have complimentary WiFi which I didn't use. My car was done at 4:55pm, which so much better than the time I would've spent at discount tire. I learned that Anthony was the owner. He was extremely friendly and personable. Throughout my interactions from check in and check out, he initiated conversation. He mentioned wanted to get to know his customers, which is very admirable. read more

The people working there need to be honest and not lie. I went last Friday, June 27, 2025 to get my car inspected. I noticed that the person who inspected the car and the girl who was going to be checking me out kept on taking their time with something on the computer. It might not have been about my car,but I had my suspicions because there weren't very many people waiting to have something done to their car at that time. So, the girl called me up and said I don't have good news for you. She proceeded to tell me that my front brakes needed to be replaced because they were as thin as a sheet of paper. Well, that right there was a red flag to me because if that were the case, I believe that I would probably be hearing my brake indicators and my brake pedal would be going a little closer to the floor. She also proceeded to tell me that my front rotors needed to be replaced and my back ones, but the front ones mattered now and I could wait on the back. Well here's another red flag, because I probably would hear some metal scraping sound when I put on the brakes . So, she told me that they didn't have time to do it that day, but they could schedule it for another day. I told them I needed to talk to my husband. So, I left and went to my regular mechanic right after that. They are the ones that we trust to do our tires, and any other maintenance on our vehicles and are very trustworthy and don't take advantage of you. They've been in business for many years and have a great reputation!! So, they checked my brakes and said they were fine, but fine, but in the distant future we would need to get brakes. However, our rotors looked brand new. This is what I suspected. Atlantic Tire was trying to take advantage and thought I would cave in. So beware of Atlantic Tire, they can't be trusted!! read more

The service we received when we took our vehicle the day before the 4th of July holiday was undeniably amazing. Our low pressure tire indicator light came on. We drove to two different shops seeking help. The first, the guy checked our tire and told us we had two nails in it. He was unable to do anything to help fix it but sent us to a nearby shop that could possibly patch it for us. We drove to the shop and they were too busy to help us but said we could come back the next day. We didn't want to chance it so we googled the next closet tire shop and found Battleground Tire. We drove to their location and told them what we were told. Immediately, they told us not to worry, invited us to leave the car parked and to come into the cool sitting area while they took care of the service requested. Their staff were extremely friendly and we paid less than $30, a huge value, to have the tire patched up. Because of the friendly and honest service we received, and the unbelievable price, we will definitely return for any future work. They just lost a steady customer. Lied to us about extensive repairs that weren't necessary. We asked them to check our brakes. The list of things they came up with was suspicious so we took the car to our regular mechanic who told us some of the things on the estimate were things you can't even do to our car! Visiting and just so happens we noticed a bulge on the drivers side front tire,driving around and noticed this( battleground tire) place of business went back and removed the tire and brought tire back here. They did not stock the brand and size( Cooper) and ordered another brand(uniroyal) for the next morning that would be in and they would mount and balance and call when it was in and ready to be installed. They called next morning and we brought the vehicle in and within 15 minutes we were on our way and they also put the get me there tire back where it belongs. Bottom line if you are ever in this area and need tires this is the place you need to go. They know what they are doing and have been in business a long time,highly recommend! read more

I would like to share my experience at Battleground Tire. Let me begin by giving you the timeline. I had purchased a set tires at Firestone in June that were placed in the rear of my car. I still needed a new set for the front. I had no issues with my experience at Firestone but decided to support a local business and purchase a higher grade of tire. My original appointment was scheduled on 9/11/2021 but I had to reschedule for 9/17/2021. When I arrived for my appointment, I was advised by Jay, the assistant manager, that my tires were returned to the warehouse. He reordered my tires and I had to come back the following day. Between 9/11 and 9/17, the tire price went up $20.00. I refused to pay the $20.00 based on principle as it was there error the tires were returned and the inconvenience of having to return the following day. I had asked that the new tires by placed in the rear and I was not charged the $20.00. Fast forward to 10/11/2021. I had taken my car to Firestone for my annual inspection. I was advised that my front tires needed to be replaced. At first, I thought that was odd as I had just purchased new tires from them in June. After the technician checked the tires, I was advised that those were not the ones I had purchased from them in June. To make this long story short, Battleground Tire did not move the new Firestone tires to the front before replacing with their own and basically threw away 3 month old new tires. Thankfully I passed inspection however I now need to purchase a new set of tires for the front! I went back to Battleground tire today, 10/11, and told Jay what had happened. He pulled the invoice and told me that I told them to replace the rear tires. Why would I say that when the new Firestone tires were in the rear!! What I had said was to put the new tires in the rear. He spoke to the manager but basically nothing was done. He explained that their "trained technicians" in seeing that replacing the rear tires after supposedly inspecting all 4 tires would not have been the correct thing to do would have alerted the office. Obviously, the "trained technician" did not inspect all 4 tires and did not place the newer rear tires in the front and simply threw them away. Dont get too settled in as you wont be there long. Cost: about right. Nothing inexpensive though I walk away knowing the work was done right. Tried to royally screw me, smoked in the car, and charged me a diagnostic fee to do basically nothing. I brought my car in for a new tire and some calipers. The tire had a nail in it. They called back recommending two new rear tires (I had just had the other rear tire replaced 6 months ago) because whatever happened to the tire I was having replaced was happening to that one too. Really? A nail was beginning to penetrate it? Lie number 1. Next he said the rotors and pads needed replacing on both sides too. Well, just had those replaced last year, so that was lie number 2. What do they quote me for what should be one brake caliper and one tire? $1300. Absolutely ridiculous. I reluctantly but without complaining pay the $57 diagnostic fee and as they're taking the car out of the bay the guy has the window down, and every mechanic is smoking right there next to it. Homeboy starts smoking in the car itself as he pulls it back. Absolutely terrible experience. Will never go back there. This is part of the reason mechanics get a bad rap. read more

I dropped my car off and in a couple hours, I had my car back with 4 new tires and an alignment all done for a really reasonable price. I have determined these guys are not honest. TWICE I have taken cars in with Check Engine Light on. On the first one they told me it would be $500 to fix the problem. We declined and on the way home the light went off and never came back on. A few months later I took another car in for inspection. Of course it failed with check engine light on. They ran $150 worth of diagnostic tests and told me it would cost $700 to repair. I took my car home, without repair. Check engine light never came back on! I took it to another station to get it re-inspected and it passed with flying colors. They said there was nothing wrong with my car! I'm never going back to Battleground Tire! They pretend to be honest, but they've got a scam going on the Check Engine Lights! read more

I had my tires rotated and the work-order states to torque the lug nuts to 76 ft-lb. The next day I replaced the brake pads. It required the lug wrench and a boxed end wrench combo and my entire weight of 185 lbs. to break the nuts loose (approx. 270 ft-lb!). I informed the garage and they stated that they utilize a torque bar. If they did, it is not calibrated. I hope that the studs have not been over stressed and the rotors have not been bent. I will not return and informed the staff as such. read more

Stay Away!!! I went in for an inspection and was told I needed $1,500 in repairs because my car was leaking fluid. I took it somewhere else and they passed it with no problem and reported no leaks. Their reason for failing the inspection was not even part of the inspection process. What they did was basically illegal. BEWARE!! read more
