this boot-leg, trashy business call xpress auto repair on 360 bodenhammer street in kernersville is the worst place to take your vehicle..the unprofessional owner name nick will lie about your car and will have so many excuses about why its not ready or he will lie about the parts are on the way, and also he will lie about how much it will cost you to repair your car.. i had to call the police to get my truck out the building because he had my truck at that shop(xpress auto repair) for 42 days and never worked on it and lied about napa didn't have the parts, and i contacted napa, and the whole time napa had the parts.. so i'm exposing this boot-leg trashy business, and please, please, please, dont take you vehicle to this piece of shit shop .nick is not a mechanic and he dont know nothing about cars..you will regret taking your vehicle to this shop..nick is trash..i have pictures of the police being up there with me when i picked up my truck if you need to see them... read more

I actually found Xpress doing a quick Google (sorry Yelp) search for auto mechanic in my area. I am SO GLAD I found them!!! I feel that they were a friendly and trustworthy establishment. (Finding a good mechanic that you trust can sometimes be difficult). My experience: it was the day after Thanksgiving, I knew I needed new break pads and an oil change for awhile now. After dropping my car off, Xpress called to tell me my car needed more than "just pads" and that the car was unsafe to be driven in its current condition!! (Yikes!) They gave me an estimate over the phone and I gave them the ok to start the work. Car got done same day and was UNDER the cost estimate given!!! We will definitely bring our vehicles back to Xpress for our maintenance needs!!! read more

Just moved here a few weeks ago and needed my car repaired quickly. Called them up and they took my car right in, told me what happened to it, and what needed to be done along with a price quote. Prices were fair and I had my car back within a couple of hours. They even brought me back to my apartment and picked me up when my car was finished. Very welcoming, the staff are awesome, the prices are very reasonable. They'll call and let you know the pros and cons. I admire the fact that they're not out to rip you off, they want your experience to be as easy as possible. I have a Cadillac Escalade ESV and I will always take it them to work on. Their shuttle is awesome and made it super convenient to drop the truck off and get back to work. I've honestly shopped around to compare pricing and no one can honestly touch Xpress and deliver the A1 quality work they do. I got to go into the shop area and the mechanic actually showed me what the problem was. I felt that was first class service, instead of throwing a bunch of part names at me that I'd have no clue what they were talking about. One of the guys took me in the shop area and showed me exactly what was going on and what could happen if left unresolved. I'll always appreciate, respect and admire them for that. I have had good experiences with Express until 2/6/19 . My car was having some problems and they asked (on Friday 2/1) if I could have it to them Monday Morning 2/4 first thing. I dropped it off Monday at 7:00am and left my keys in the box. I called later that day to see if they had found anything and was told "not yet" and they would call when they find the problem. I called Tuesday afternoon because I had not heard from them and needed to make arrangements for transportation. I got the same response. I called again to tell them since they had not found anything yet, I would come pick it up Wednesday. That is when I found out they had not even had time to look at it. I understand they were busy, but it would have been nice if the lady at the front desk had mentioned that either time I called. I picked my car up Wed. It was sitting out fount unlocked with the keys in the ignition. I told the guy not to do that and I would be there before closing. I know he was just trying to help, but the car could have been taken by someone else and they would not be the wiser. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication read more

Fair prices and good srvice

I don't know why--maybe because I'm 78 and look naive and gullible, but when I took my Kia in for an alignment this past Jan. 4, because it was pulling to the right and I didn't want undue wear on the tires, I was advised that even though they aligned it, it does still pull slightly to the right because my 2008 Kia Amanti needed motor mounts and that was causing the drift to the right. Motor mounts affecting alignment? A detailed explanation was given by the lady behind the counter stating when speeding up, with bad motor mounts the motor will lift up torquing to the right and causing the drift to the right. Cost to replace mounts: $1,100 but they'd do it for $700 or so or just the front mounts for $550. I paid my $96 for alignment and balancing of tires, drove out and sure enough the car still pulls to the right as they stated. I immediately contacted my usual service mechanics at two different locations I have used over several years and they expressed dismay and said, first of all the Kia motor is mounted transversely and lifting when accelerating wouldn't make the car drift to the right! Secondly, there is not a connection to motor mounts and alignment! I thought so--I have been driving for 70 some-odd years and have never had motor mounts blamed for misalignment! So beware--find an auto service that won't take you for a ride. Just like major medical diagnoses, get a second and third opinion! read more
