Had a chance to try this spot during my last business trip. It was highly recommended by the locals in class. The food was out quick and the brisket was thick cut. The smoker outside got me all excited--the scent of the smoke was heaven. Friendly staff was a great start. The pulled chicken was outstanding. Heat was not too much, and it built, but it was appropriate. It was a great surprise at how good the sandwich, the pickles and the slaw were. This is most definately the review I did not want to write. The good: pulled pork is on point. BBQ sauce, and hot BBQ sauce are on point. The not good: Brisket tastes good, but no better. They want to sell you a lot of gristle, every time. The sausage is off point. I've had a few in Texas. Not even in the same ballpark (brisket or sausage). Why did I come here to even write my experience? Just now Aug 13 2025, I was blocked from their Facebook. I was pressing them to give me two empty bottles because they sold my wife BBQ sauce but gave it to her in flat round tupperware. I felt like they didn't care, and with the block, I now know it. I am a repeat customer and I can't even communicate now. They seem to be a bit "I'm here for me, not you". They live well. Don't judge a book by its cover! This place has PHENOMENAL food. Probably the best bbq I've had in Maine so far. We tried the chicken, the brisket, + the pork with Mac n cheese, old bay corn, corn bread + pickles. Would recommend for sure! Also our waitress was SO nice. :-) read more

I really like thier smoked brisket. It's at a reasonable price and they are relatively consistent with thier food. I had to knock one start because my brisket was way too dry this last time and I'm tired of paying 50 cents for a ketchup size amount of dipping. Sauce. Are you kidding me that it costs that much to buy your recipe in wholesale and justify that price for a sauce When you make a sandwich that has multiple meats you need different sauces for them like the brisket and hot links. read more

We finally got here. We used to frequent Smokey's in Trenton. The Angry Bird sandwich was delicious! I've never had smoked chicken that was so juicy. My husband had the brisket, it was excellent as well. Their beans are always a favorite. Glad to see they're still smokin'! read more

The smell is amazing as soon as you get out of your vehicle. Tried the pulled pork, brisket, brisket mac and cheese, nachos, and cornbread. I would order them all again. They make their cornbread the good way- rather than use water it looks like they use cream of corn so you get the flavor and occasion corn which is delicious. This place is totally legit and very good. We split a half pound of brisket, mac and cheese, and old bay corn. I asked for cuts from the fatty side of the brisket and they were happy to accommodate (I figured they might get lots of requests for less fat and maybe I could balance it out for 'em a bit). The two sauces that we tried were excellent but the meat is good enough that you don't necessarily need it. Counter service was friendly and it's a fun place to sit. read more
