This is most definately the review I did not want to write. The good: pulled pork is on point. BBQ sauce, and hot BBQ sauce are on point. The not good: Brisket tastes good, but no better. They want to sell you a lot of gristle, every time. The sausage is off point. I've had a few in Texas. Not even in the same ballpark (brisket or sausage). Why did I come here to even write my experience? Just now Aug 13 2025, I was blocked from their Facebook. I was pressing them to give me two empty bottles because they sold my wife BBQ sauce but gave it to her in flat round tupperware. I felt like they didn't care, and with the block, I now know it. I am a repeat customer and I can't even communicate now. They seem to be a bit "I'm here for me, not you". They live well. This is a picture of the BBQ products off their social media: EDIT: response to "Benjamin S. We'd be happy to discuss further if you want to call the restaurant and ask for Ben." No thank you.

Great barbecue in Maine! Pork is outstanding and ribs are amazing. Mac and cheese and beans were great.

Delicious food and service with a smile. On our way to the airport, this was a perfect spot to stop for a quick meal.

This small hole in the wall has some great meats! The staff were friendly and the environment was comfortable.

Stopped by The Grind House on my way through from Bar Harbor to Boston Logan International…read more I was excited to see an impossible breakfast sandwich on the menu as well as a peanut butter mocha. Seriously, two of my favorite things to see on a coffee house menu. That said the execution was a bit off for me. The Impossible breakfast sandwich was served on an insubstantial bun (the type that is more air than anything) and was overall pretty basic. Their signature sauce mentioned in several dishes, seems to be thousand island or maybe tartar sauce? Either way, it wasn't my favorite. The peanut butter mocha was also a bit of a miss for me. I wasn't a fan of either their chocolate or their espresso (or the peanut butter flavor they used, for that matter). The shop itself is quirky and comfortable. We were able to get a spot by the windows, which was nice and the service was lovely. It would definitely be a good and comfortable spot for working and it could be that had I ordered differently, it may have been more my cup of tea (or coffee, as they case may be). But for what I ordered, it was a bit of a swing and a miss.

Walked in and wow, lots to read on the menu! Which can be good and bad depending on how much time…read moreyou want to spend reading menus. I chose a egg and cheese on a croissant bun and a caramel turtle latte. I came here because it had been highly recommended, but I have to say, I expected more, but depends on what you like, right?? Plenty of seating, centrally located in the city, easy parking, and plenty of coffee concoctions to try out. My coffee was missing the whipped cream, but oh well. The froth for the latte was odd, it deflated super quickly, not sure what happened there. And the sweetness was sweet, but it was missing that caramel turtle flavor I thought I was going to get. For me, this was meh. I expected something more decadent. My egg sandwich was good. Basic. Not a real croissant either. It was a croissant bun of some sort. It seemed, well, basic, or economical. But it was filling and the egg was good. I also have to say that when I departed, I smelled like a convenience store that sells those hotdogs on rollers... I smelled all day, I had to wash my hair to get the smell out. I also have to mention the heavy music that was playing. It was obscene and it was loud. So loud it made it challenging to order and I did eat my meal quickly and leave. It was a Tuesday morning around 9 am. But hey I am getting older so this may not have been a good choice for me.
