    TacobTuesday
    Tina S.

They have a great taco Tuesday special. 3 tacos for $10. Plus they have a pretty full bar, so I was able to get a margarita. Who knew that you could get tacos at a BBQ place. I ordered the mac and cheese as a side. It was very creamy. Everything had a bit more spice for my taste. I know it is a big hit and Sparta. It is a fast food style place. Food is served on a metal tray. The place was clean and the servers were decent.

My first time trying this place won't be my last! They have a huge selection of so many delicious meats and foods to pick from! I can't wait to come back and try more!

Brisket with potato salad and Brussel sprouts. Really good. Sorry I took photo after I started.

Ribs didn't seem like it had any seasoning. Potato salad was decent and Mac & Cheese probably had too many types of cheese

Absolutely gross the service the food and the price. It's totally deserted everyday. No one can afford it for the little food you receive.

Such good food! I love the menu variety and the Turkey is especially amazing! The kids get ice cream with their meal, so they love it too!

Now I am not a big fan of BBQ, however Bogarts may have changed my opinion. This was absolutely A M A zing! I had the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and Cheese. I went to the recommended "good" places and walked away disappointed. I happen to be in Soulard one day and noticed Bogart's closed because they sold out. That's a big green flag to me. Not open Sunday and Monday, green flag. Primarily open for lunch, green flag. I just knew I had to check it out. Finally got the opportunity to check it out and boy was it delicious. I got a two meat plate with two sides. I got the tri tip, ribs, baked beans, and deviled potato salad. The deviled egg potato salad taste like it sounds. It taste like potato salad and and deviled egg had a baby. Never seen such a creation but I knew I needed to have it. The baked beans were out of this world!! Top three baked beans I've ever had!! A little smokey, a little sweet, and just the right consistency as far as thickness for me A1 . The ribs by far the best ribs I've had in STL. Very flavorful and tender. The tri tip it was ok. I've never had it shaved before and couldn't really get a good grasp on the flavor. It wasn't bad, just not the way I've had tri tip previously. All of their BBQ sauces were fantastic as well!! My favorite sauce was the pineapple express. Bogart's has restored my faith in STL BBQ. I was a non-believer for some time . HIGHLY recommend

We were greeted by a lovely young lady working the register who took our order and we sat down at our assigned table. We were quickly served our drinks and waited for our overly large order (we wanted to try lots of things). The ribs were delicious. Just enough smoke (this is not Texas BBQ) and so juicy. My husband's pulled pork was very good and thankfully did not come sauced already. The turkey very moist and tender and flavorful. Yum. The burnt ends were a little dry, but can be forgiven because it was near the end of the night. We were checked on frequently, drinks refilled. Then we had the opportunity to meet Susan, the owner. If you don't know Susan was a competition BBQ'r for many years before opening her restaurant with her husband and you can see all her trophies and ribbons in the room She graciously bought us some bread pudding and gave me a little secret about it! If you think this is anything other than spectacular there is something wrong with your pallet. We have eaten around the world in some very high end restaurants and that gave us as much satisfaction and joy as many a dessert. Delicious. My husband was trying to be good but sadly had to finish the lot Lovely experience, delicious BBQ. Not as smoky as Texas which is what we are more familiar with but we enjoyed it a lot. Hopefully we get to stop in again.

Hubby's ribs were just ok, again not with smoked flavor, Corn casserole was dry and had no sweetness. The sauces on the table were all with a vinegar taste, even the sweet & smoky sauce. We had to flag down someone to refill our drinks. Overall, the prolonged wait was not worth it. Moving on to a different barbecue restaurant!!!! The bread pudding was okay.

It's counter service, and you get to see all of the meats and sides while ordering, which makes it tough to decide what to get! I went with the Brisket Dip Sandwich and a side of banana pudding, and both were fantastic. The Coffee BBQ sauce was the most interesting one, but it was fun sampling all of them to see which I liked best. If you're in St. Louis and craving BBQ, Sugarfire is definitely worth checking out!

Anything that tastes a little bit more time to prepare they will bring out to you on the floor. Keeps things flowing very well. I got the four bones (baby backs), broccoli salad (premium side, one dollar up charge), and coleslaw. I also grabbed a piece of sweet cornbread with honey butter, and fried green tomatoes with a lemon aïoli. The bones were not rendered as much as I would've liked, the fat layers were still too thick. But the flavor was good. And every table has six different sauces and you can have as much sauce as you want. I tried them all, and my personal favorites were the Carolina mustard, and the Texas hot sauce. The white barbecue was also very interesting. But they're all good. Fried green tomatoes were terrific! Broccoli salad and the coleslaw were pretty tasteless. As was the cornbread. Really wouldn't describe that as sweet cornbread. It seemed a mostly just wheat flour cornbread. The honey butter on its own was really the best side. I'm not unhappy that I came here, but would I seek it out again or try something else in the area? I would try something else in the area. And for that reason I am leaning toward 3 starts. Although the staff is terrific and really hustles here, and that is why I have to bump this up to four stars.
