I went in yesterday to buy som CBD. I bought the biggest one they had, 3,000 mg gummies. I got home and realized that the tamper seal was broken and the paper cover underneath the lid that is supposed to keep it fresh was also partly opened, so it had definitely been opened by someone at some point and still sold. I went back today to try and exchange it and was told that their policy was no returns or exchanges. The employees at the store, who were very helpful and kind, called the owner, who said that they didn't know if it had been opened I bought it or if I had done it at home, so they would not let me exchange it, but instead offered 30% off my next purchase. The jar was still completely full, so it wasn't like I ate a bunch and then tried to return it I threw the whole thing away, since I wasn't going to take something that had been opened by the people selling it, and I wasn't sure if it had been contaminated. It would have been an easy fix, to exchange the product, and they would've had a customer for life. Instead, I'd advise anyone reading this to find a shop that does not blatantly steal money from customers, as this one has chosen to do. And if you do choose to buy from this store, be sure and check your product for tampering BEFORE leaving the store, as there is no help once you are out the doors. read more

I really, really enjoy coming here. The staff is incredibly nice & always greets me as soon as I walk in the door. If I come late, they've even given me a free croissant from the bakery next door :) Their selection is honestly impressive, but more impressive in my opinion is how well laid-out & taken care of the store is. It is big, but once you go once, you'll know exactly where the section is for what you need. The two biggest pluses for me is the value and the customer service. They partner with FiveStars for awards, which basically cemented them as my sole smoke shop in Austin. Knowing my purchases are adding up towards discounts makes it much more tempting to drive the extra 5 minutes from the place I used to go to! Not to mention that their stuff in general is very reasonably/comparatively priced, so I don't feel as though I'm paying more to access the rewards. Secondly, I can't get over their customer service. Like I said, I am always greeted, but I'm also always suggested things, helped when I needed it, & I even had a sweet person give me a personal lighter when I asked them to just add the cheapest one they had to my order. Sure, the lighter was probably less than $5, but it was really sweet of them to save me the $$ & offer their own! All in all, I never dread stopping by here, & definitely plan to continue to use it for my THC-A + vape needs :) read more

I walked into this shop a few weeks back with a 30-odd year old cigarette case in hand, one that has a built-in lighter. It's a very fabulous and dearly treasured piece, recently given to me by my godmother, who used it during her own days of vice in the 70's. The lighter, old as it is, wasn't working. Given its age and unique character, I wasn't hopeful I'd find a solution for my problem, whether via a replacement or a fix. HOLY MOLY - I was absolutely floored by the customer service here. They didn't have a similar lighter - I think this specific type may actually be out of production after research online - so a gentleman named Mason spent OVER AN HOUR - !!!! - an entire selfless hour fixing this thing!! After taking my lighter apart and figuring out the problems, he asked me to purchase a $3 lighter which he disassembled to replace a bit of mine. He then spent ages, with genuine interest and kindness, thinking of dozens of solutions for each and every problem (and there were many). I wish I could go into more depth about what he did, but all I know is that there was science, there was physics, there was inventiveness, and there was immense creativity. He used a piece of eraser at one point for crissake!!! Worth mentioning that the shop was slow, and he wasn't neglecting any other business. Time just flew by watching him work. He didn't charge anything for the service and made it clear up front that he was just happy to help. He's proud of his work, and that speaks extremely highly as to the kind of place this is, and the kind of investment they put into their staff and by extension their customers. Also worth mentioning that I'm a woman, and not for one second did I feel mainsplained to, or scoffed at, or any part of the other unfortunately common vibes that so often get pushed to the forefront when a gal asks for help. 1. They sold us a severely cracked hookah which only lasted a week. I almost cut myself when it broke apart while washing it, and that's when we noticed all the cracks. 2. They told us twice to bring it in and let a manager look at it (who is only there 9-5). So I took time off work to take it in, only to be told it's not their "policy" to exchange. Which is their right, but why tell us multiple times to bring it in and waste our time? The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because they've always been nice guys. At least they've got that going for them. I'm all about supporting brick and mortar businesses here in austin, but I think I'll stick to hookah-shisha from now on. Still local, and an actual exchange policy when they sell broken goods. read more

I've been using an e-cig to quit smoking. (Haven't had a "real" cig since September 4; yeah, it works.) Most shops in town either sell disposables or very expensive starter sets. No one has much in the way of supplies other than liquid and a few cartridges. And, in general, most people selling e-cigs in brick and mortar stores don't know much about them. That's just the nature of the beast, I'm afraid. I was very pleased to walk into this store Friday and find that when I asked if they had parts for an Ego 510 that they had a decent supply of batteries, cleartomizers, carts, and chargers. Yes, it's more than you'd pay on line, but not to have to fiddle with shipping and WAITING is a big plus. The younger man who waited on me was very pleasant and helpful, though I do have to say that the older man (both way younger than me, but one older than the other) knew more. Both were a far, far cry from the usual person selling e-cigs who gives me a blank stare. I'll be back. Now I have to walk down the hall to my non-yelp quitters and make sure they know about this place. read more

I decided at the last minute that I needed to buy a hookah on the way to a friend's house yesterday. I found this place using Yelp ;) and it was conveniently located where I needed it to be. I didn't have a lot of time, so I ran in and went straight to the hookah section. I was immediately greeted by a friendly face who was knowledgeable about the products and could make solid recommendations on the fly. Once we picked out my very own hookah, the young man quickly demonstrated how to assemble and disassemble the hookah and answered every single one of my rushed questions. He got me out the door with a new hookah, 2 flavors of shisha (one free with the purchase of my smoking lamp!), and coals, in less than 15 minutes! Pro status. He was polite and professional the whole time. Upon leaving, I was given several friendly goodbyes by the staff. read more

They don't know really anything at all about the product (juicy jay is the brand not the flavor) but they have a ton of stuff and are friendly. Will go back often for supplies. read more

This is a great place. Most of the other smoke shops I have been in are fine but a little on the sterile side. You walk into Smoke N Chill and it is just packed with just about anything you could possibly want. It was actually recommended to me by another smoke shop just down the road because I was looking for a vaporizer and the other shop did not have any. Of course Smoke N Chill had about four different kinds including the Pax II vaporizer which is a top of the line model and just what I was looking for. There prices are in line with other shops in the area and their customer service is great. I live in the neighborhood and will not be going anywhere else from now on! read more

They might have a big selection but the e-cig hardware they carry is of poor quality. I have purchased a three tanks from them. The first one started to leak around the seems within weeks of owning it. I gave them another chance and upgraded to their recommendation for about double the cost. Well, I get the thing home, filler-up and find out it is really hard to draw, a lot harder than the three tanks I have at home. This thing would be a pain to suck on for much time. I also figure out that the mouth piece is easily removable, to easy as a matter of fact, put it in your pocket and it'll end up coming off. Sooo, within an hour I go back to the store on Brodie and tell them the issues Im having with what they recommended, they try it out and tell me its fine, so I pull out my original tank from another store in N. Austin and have them give that a try. Wellllll, "let me talk to the boss" is the response I got. The boss says they cant even exchange it but will offer me a whole 15% off my next purchase. I think that after spending $50 with them today and receiving subpar products in the past, I wont need the 15% since I will never shop there again. read more

His enthusiasm to help me out and patience at my questions did not lessen even when I told him I wasn't going to be dropping a lot of money.
