Bi annual smog check Contract at this location and the gentleman who makes the appointments ask me if I could be there in the next 40 minutes he would give me a smog check. I showed up on time. Only had one other person waiting at the time to complete theirs. Five minutes later, my vehicle was being taken in for the biannual test only smog check. He completed the test only small check in about 10 to 15 minutes, entered everything into the state computer and I was out of there within 30 minutes. The gentleman was excellent with his customer skills made you feel at home relaxed. Also, the facility is very very clean. You're able to sit in a clean environment with a restroom close by. This place is great! I will definitely come back. I called and they picked up right away. They are very friendly and gave me clear directions to the shop. The posted price for smog check is 61.75 for cars/small trucks but this can be more or less depending on your car. I got a quote and was very happy with. I was able to get an appointment on short notice. They take 20-30 minutes to run the test but it could be faster depending on your car. Great service overall. Definitely recommend this place. I came in to get my smog checked here last week and it was an overall great experience. We were only there for about 25 minutes. Thankfully there was no line or no waiting as there was no one else but us. The guy that helped us seemed to be the owner, and he was very nice and knowledgeable and let my mom and son and I hang out in the lobby to watch tv while he performed the smog. He informed me that I needed to wait a day or two for my smog to process through the system before paying for my registration and even suggested going to AAA up the street to get my tags right away if I wanted to. My smog costed $75 as my car was a 2011, but that is a great price compared to other shops offering star testing smogs. 10/10 recommend. read more

I had to come in for a smog check and it was quick and painless. When getting a smog check, make sure to bring your DMV paper work as they will need it to send the information to the DMV. If your check engine light is on, it WON'T past smog, so make sure and get that taken care of first. The whole process took about :30 minutes. I checked in at the front, and then had to pull my car into the rear bay. Once I was pulled in, the staff member escorted me back to the small lobby. Before I knew it I was ready to go and passed with flying colors. This is my second time here and I haven't had any issues. I even got extra coupons to bring my car back for some brake work. I was at the right place at the right time. I was trying to complete my drive cycle for my 2008 335i so I went for a drive on the 210 freeway. As soon as my IM monitor turned all green, I called the nearest smog shop which happened to be Smog Stop. Things to check before you go to smog test: (1) IM Monitor Status should be all green. You can buy an OBD II reader with IM Monitor Status to check for errors and fault codes. Trust me, it's a good investment. Auto repair shops can't screw you over. (2) There must be NO Check Engine light on. Check your mods if they are legal: (A) Your INTAKE should be registered with an Executive Order. You can check and search your Carb ID on this official website: https://ww2.arb.ca.gov Carb ID is located on the Intake itself. If you have this chances are your intake pass regulations. Now, if you DO NOT have this, you'll fail. (B) Your EXHAUST SYSTEM is okay, as long as it doesn't involve modifications with your catalytic converters. (C) TUNES must be off or temporarily off. Came in here to get my smog checked as per my DMV vehicle registration notice. I drive a 2012 Honda Civic that is in good condition and has less than 70k miles on it so I was surprised when my vehicle failed smog the manger Otto patiently walked me through what an OBD II failure meant. He suspected that it might be due to my recent service. He charged me for the partial service and asked me to drive a half tank of gas and then come back. I came back a couple weeks later (and a couple tanks later b/c life), and he quickly checked out my car. He first checked it to make sure it was ready for the follow up smog test so I wouldn't waste my time. He then gave me a realistic time estimate for the job (20 mins) and also gave me the flexibility to pick up my car later in the evening which allowed me to actually go back to work. Thanks Otto! The price changed 3 times. After they'd already had me pull the car in for inspection I saw the final price of $70. After 45 minutes of checking my 2001 which doesn't even require a dyno test, they tell me the car failed becuase the oxygen sensors "look like they've been tampered with" but there's nothing wrong with them and the monitors are all set. They then won't let me go until I pay $57 and tell me that a retest is $45. What a ripoff. read more

I came with a coupon from the Local Flavors magazine. With coupon, the cert and test came out to $40. The test with cert is normally $51 plus tax.
