This was truly a remarkable Smog Check experience. I had paid the registration fee for my daughter's truck, and totally forgot about the smog check! Needing to remedy this quickly, I took to Yelp and found Mena Smog Check. Love that it's located so close to my home, as in the past I've driven further than necessary. I arrived about 5 minutes prior to opening and was the first one there. He opened up early and took me in right away. I didn't have to get out of the truck at all. He explained everything to me and told me how long it would take. Everything passed and I was out of there in about 20 minutes total. He was also kind enough to give me a printed copy to keep with the truck so in case the sticker doesn't get here in time, we can show that everything is taken care of in the meantime. The nicest guy! The day I chose to take one of my vehicles the shop had no wait, (it was raining pretty heavily). I drove the vehicle into one of the shop stalls and waited inside my vehicle while the service was performed. I had reached out to several shops via Yelp on the project portal for a smog check and although Mena was not the cheapest I realized his service seemed very reasonable and he was very responsive when I asked any questions and was asking for the business. I figured the shops asking for way less money were going to try and okie doke me in the end. He was very kind individual and had me in and out of the shop within 20 minutes. I pulled my truck in and the technician had a couple of questions that I answered. He said he'd be surprised if it past so he hooked up a meter and showed me exactly what the problem was. At this point there was no charge, he told me how to take it out and drive it for about a total of 40 minutes or so and then bring it back. I did the driving I came back he hooked that same meter up and the issue that was seen before was gone. At that point, he hooked the machine up and sure enough it passed. I really appreciated him taking the time to check it first, and I would highly recommend this shop for all smog testing. read more
