All the same, the final labor charge came in at $330 plus parts charge of $460 ($230 each). These shocks retail at Shock Warehouse for $54 ea. and Amazon for $49 ea. - that is a markup of 370%. I feel I was gouged $300+ extra for parts. No amount of overhead or handling charge can justify that markup. For that reason I will never go back to Ozzie's Automotive.

After holding it for three days, Vince told me he couldn't figure it out and "doesn't work on valves." This is the same guy who repeatedly mentioned having 45 years of experience and working on Hondas with over 400k Instead of fixing it, he told me to go to the dealer for a $1300 repair he wouldn't or couldn't do--and then charged me $350 for diagnostic time. Imagine being told, "I can't fix it, but you still owe me $350." I feel cheated, because I never said not to do the work--I would have let him fix it. I basically paid $350 for his lack of knowledge. For som eone claiming decades of experience, a basic Honda V6 shouldn't be "too complex." Save yourself the headache, time, and money. If it's not just an oil change or something simple, go straight to a dealer or a shop with trained techs. Thats exactly what I paid 350 for so just start at the dealer.
