They may not have a fancy, air-conditioned lobby--which is located outdoors under a tarp--it was fine for me as "little heat" on the 25th of August wasn't going to bother me or detract me, nor do they have a big property with lots of parking, which wasn't going to get in the way of me getting my car smogged the same day so my car could meet the DMV requirements. Overall, if you want quick, clear, great service without the frills or gimmicks, Mission Smog Test Only is the place to get your car smogged and get your certificate. Be forewarned, the basic fee has taxes and stuff that walked it up to $77 out the door, which was disclosed up front, so kudos there. I also made a reservation online but the guy took me early when I arrived, and in about 15 minutes he announced my car passed and provided the paperwork and scanned myDMV form. It's imperative that you bring that to your session. Nice guy, very friendly and professional. They offer a $32 service for expediting payment for the registration same day, but if you have a computer at home, you won't need that. All-in-all, a quick appointment, and unavoidable, but I would definitely come back if or when (probably next year). Pro tip: Fill up your tank and use a fuel injector cleaner from Autozone or O'Reilly's. Most importantly though, if your check engine light is on, you won't pass.

I guess since I'm not a regular or a friend, I was treated differently They were hung up on trying to see what other issues without running the smog. I don't know what the hold up was or if they were unfamiliar with the truck. Or if I was bothering them But after all that, they ended up failing the truck and also charging 80 dollars. Surprising since other smog shops won't charge you if you fail. The only highlight was the female technician took the time to explain the results. I came to this shop in 2023 to get my old battery taken out and a new one put in. I have to go to a…read moremechanic to get this done as there is a pump that needs to be removed to get to the battery. I do not remember the guys name that serviced my car, but he was a younger heavy set guy. He charged me almost $200 to take out & put in the new battery. He told me the reason was because he had to take out half of the engine just to do it and it was going to take him a few hours to complete it. Me at the time not knowing any better agreed & paid him, but I always felt he was over charging me. I just got my battery replaced again today at Jalisco auto shop in Rialto. All he had to do was remove the pump in front of the battery to get to it and it took him less than 20 minutes to complete everything! He did not charge me a dime to do this easy swap! It's very sad that some mechanics take advantage of the fact that some people don't know anything about cars. We should be able to get our cars repaired without having to worry about being completely over charged and lied to.
