My party ordered a variety of dishes and I opted for the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sorry to say, the food was just adequate. The beef was overdone and the gravy had the sheen of the bottled gravies at the grocery store. The mashed potatoes were the star of the show, however, as they were very good. The hamburger and pancakes ordered by others get similar reviews. It was a hamburger and tasted like one. The pancakes, being hard to screw up, were just pancakes. This is a cash-only place, so come prepared to be vilified for wanting to pay with plastic. The prices were lower than the norm but that did little to make me feel better upon leaving. Despite the dearth of customers when we were there, the service was also lacking. I had to seek out help to get a refill on my iced tea and we waited a while to pay...with cash. I can't really give this place any additional stars. Stop here if you absolutely can't wait to eat.

We were apprehensive as we walked up, even wondering if it was open - Saturday morning. You know it's good and cheap when every 70+ yr old grandad in a 20 mile radius is there to eat breakfast. No fluff, no glitz, no BS - just good honest food and a good honest price, and in this day and age that is worth it's weight in gold!
