When Anna and Steve took my call, they gave me the rundown of their current inventory and earmarked a certain car which they knew would best suit my needs, given my previous two purchases. They quickly recalled my repeat business (and that they had helped me ship my last purchase straight to the East Coast a few years ago). When I came in person a few days later, Anna made the time to let me look at every car and truck in sight. Throughout the whole experience, I felt zero pressure and was given all the time and information I needed to make an informed decision. Of course, the earmarked car ended up being the perfect fit for me. A few days later, the purchasing process was painless and involved zero haggling or hidden fees. Anna typed up everything in her office and handled everything with the DMV for me. My license plates were delivered straight to my door shortly after. I do not have a lot of time for high-maintenance vehicles. I trust Smith Trucks to sell me vehicles in great condition with low mileages, low idling hours, and solid maintenance histories. For that trust, they have always given me a fair price. Over 8 years and many visits to their lot, I have always been impressed by Smith Trucks' integrity, knowledge, and customer service. Anna even printed out a recipe for a friend of mine undergoing some health problems! I wish Steve and Anna the best of health, and I anticipate Smith Trucks being my first stop (and last stop) the next time I need to purchase a vehicle. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.... They don't make " business people" like this anymore. We bought a truck from them a few years ago ( older truck- has been running great since we purchased it fyi). My mom's older car finally died and she had been using my truck while she was trying to figure out a plan. We called Smith's Trucks just to see what they had which would fit my mom's very limited budget. Prior to driving there ( about 1 1/2 hours away), Steve talked to my mom on the phone in detail and described the cars he had ( safety, engine, etc) which tremendously helped ease her mind buying a used car. The car she ended up buying is a used Crown Victoria with about 100,000 miles. Besides the safety and smog, Steve put on new tires and brakes. He washed it and added gas so she wouldn't have to stop ( was getting dark) on the drive home. Annie did the paperwork and even offered us coffee and tea while we waited thus saving us a trip to the DMV. My "take away" from my now second experience buying from Smith's... I have had better service and ease of mind purchasing these two cars from them than I have had buying our other cars at BMW in SF and San Jose. Thanks again Steve and Annie. I had such a great experience buying my car here. Steve and Annie were extremely kind, and encouraged me to call before I arrived so they could have the cars I was interested in ready for me to see. They and both greeted me when I arrived, and then spent a lot of time with me, answering all my questions and letting me and my boyfriend do long test drives of the car. The whole time, there was no pressure to buy at all, and even when I said I needed some time to think about it, there was no push back! Can only say the very best about Steve Smith and the integrity of his used car business. Our son purchased his first car (2 door Ford Explorer Sport, old Fire Captain vehicle) there and was assured that it had been smogged and was in good shape. They went the extra mile and added a roof rack and his wife did all the transfer and DMV paperwork for him. Unfortunately the check engine light went on a within the week and a few times thereafter and each time, Steve and his mechanic took a look and stuck with it until they fixed it. I came across one of their cars on Craigslist, so I decided to give them a call and set up a time to see it. I drove about 45 minutes just to see it because the price and condition was so great, and needless to say it was the best decision I have ever made. I bought a 96 Jeep Cherokee because I was moving up north where it snows heavy. There was no pressure in buying (besides the fact that it was a desirable model that would be gone soon, even though they had more of them too btw their stock is endless) and I was able to take it out for a comfortable test drive around the area. There was a little squeak to the brakes and Steve assured me that it was just surface rust and sure enough after a week or two of driving it there was no more noise! Very very honest people who truly care about you and the car that will best suit your needs. I have been driving my Jeep for a little over a year now and it has made it all the way up to Idaho from California with zero problems at all. We bought a 1 ton Cheyenne to pull our RV at Smith's, and a Taurus SEL for commuting several years ago. Still running great with many years to come on each. We believe you will not find a better value for a reliable car or truck, or more honest and decent folks for that matter to sell you a car. I haven't in all my years. If you want to pay more, just to worry and wonder what you got, go somewhere else. If you want a confident feeling knowing you just got an amazing deal, then buy there. I own a senior care home, SolanoLifeHouse.com in Dixon and had been shopping for a 15 passenger van to take our senior residents on day excursions. I had quite specific interests: Ford, in white, low miles, needs nothing, bench seats, stock, with maintenance up to date, and for under $5K. I had spent about a month discovering that most of these things are possible to combine, but I would need to pay at least a 50% premium, and I could expect to compromise on the mileage, as vans of the vintage that I could afford, would always be near 200K miles. Just the van I was after was posted late in the evening, and I responded even later that evening and got a call first thing in the morning. I was there within a couple of hours, drove it around the block, and bought it 15 minutes later, and got EVERYTHING I was seeking for under $5K, and only 87K miles! This was a government vehicle, which is Steve and Anna's business - transitioning government vehicles into the public domain. These government vehicles are great because the maintenance is kept up and the miles are low since they stay within a specific region during their duty. Because Steve and Anna act as a dealer in these vehicles, you can skip the DMV. Anna does all of the DMV work for you. You just drive away with a temporary registration and wait for the rest to show up in the mail. I've never had a better and easier purchasing experience. I wished that I had known of this operation the week before, when I was shopping for a maintenance truck, but now that I have established the relationship, I will be back when we expand our operation and need another van, truck, or sedan. I can't say enough good things about the service, kindness, and expertise of this husband and wife team. They like providing a great value and great service, and pride themselves on it - something that isn't common these days. Well it's been nearly two months and I figured that gave me enough time to write this review confidently knowing that Smith Trucks is great. I purchased a truck there recently with super low miles - for a price that was right. I was thrilled to be driving that truck home - about half way home the "check engine" light went on and my heart dropped. I had bought the truck "as is" and I wondered if I had just got bamboozled. As soon as I got home I called Steve and he told me to bring the truck back in and he would fix it for free. What other "as is" purchase can you say that about? The truck remained at Steves shop for two weeks while they attempted to diagnose the elusive problem but eventually it was diagnosed and the truck has been running great ever since.
