I think we literally shook hands and met every single person at the service. Such a warm and welcoming community, we will definitely come back for a service next time we are in Illinois. The church itself looks like something out of a postcard, absolutely beautiful stain glass all over and gorgeous Art Deco lighting through out.

This fits perfectly with our theme though not everything was as great as we wished. There was a window controlled unit for air conditioning, so it's not advised for summer weddings. Our wedding was about 80 degrees outside so inside was fairly warm in our suits and dresses. Our coordinator was switched last minute on us about 10 days before the wedding, so she did not have time to coordinate with us for rehearsal or the wedding day. My wedding party did not get along with her as she threw off our timing with the entrance and rushed us on several occasions to "move-along". Mind you, we rehearsed the timing of the entrance song to the bridesmaids walking down the aisle but she did not care. She even locked the doors of the chapel 30 minutes before the event was over, even though we paid for the extra 2 hours based on the original contract we signed. This place would have been perfect if the coordinator was more hands off and assisted us rather than dictate our day. If you pick this place, please be warned and have everything in writing.

From the get-go, she offered her services and even came up with some great ideas. She made sure that we did not have to think about anything other than honoring our brother. The chapel was set up with flowers, etc. when we arrived. She also took care of everything after the service so that we could get to the luncheon. I would recommend this place for weddings, a celebration of life service, and any memorials.

We selected the Everything Wedding for up to 30 guests and from there we had very simple decisions while Rev Pam and Liz her assistant did the rest. From the cake, to the violinist, vows, dance lessons, delicious food, music, beautiful bouquet, hair & makeup, wedding invitations, photography and drinks.It all was absolutely PERFECT! I must say I was kind of neurotic and emailed her a lot with random questions and requests and any request was no problem and all questions were answered quickly. She also allowed us to make payments up until the wedding which really helped. Not only is Rev Pam on top of every little detail but she's also very warm and kind and makes you feel at home and definitely makes your big day really special to you. BTW, our cake was Central Continental Bakery was amazing! We got so many comments about how delicious it was and how beautiful it looked.
