They made it very clear that…read moreworking air conditioning was extremely important because my husband spends hours in the car. The AC was turned on, and they were led to believe it was working. Since it was cold outside at the time, there was really no way for them to know it was not actually cooling properly. About two weeks ago, once the weather got warmer, my husband realized the AC was not working at all. On March 18, he took the car back and was told the condenser needs to be replaced and that the repair would cost around $2,500. After all of that, the dealership said the best they could do was offer a $400 credit. In our opinion, this should have been repaired at no charge. We made it clear from the beginning how important working AC was, and this was not something that should have become our expense so soon after buying the car. They are a dealership, so it likely would have cost them far less to fix than what they expected us to pay, and it would have been the right thing to do for someone who had already spent thousands of dollars there. What makes this even worse is that we traded in our Toyota Avalon because the AC in that car was not working, only to end up with another car that has the same problem. That is honestly unbelievable. What really made this whole situation worse was what happened after my husband posted his negative review. Suddenly, the dealership was willing to offer more help, but only if he removed the review. First, they said they would bring the repair cost down to $1,500 if the review was taken down. Then they came back again and said $1,000 would be their final offer, still only if the review was removed. We said no both times. At that point, it did not feel like they were truly trying to make things right. It felt like they were more worried about getting rid of the bad review than actually being fair about the problem. If they really cared about customer service and standing behind what they sell, they should have fixed this at no charge from the beginning instead of making offers only when a negative review was posted. This whole experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and expensive. We trusted what they told my husband and son at the time of the sale, and now we are left dealing with a major repair that should never have become our problem this soon after buying the car. Buyers should be very careful here, or better yet, save yourself the stress and go to a different dealer. Make sure everything is fully checked, tested in real conditions, and put in writing. I am posting this so other people know exactly what our experience was. I would give this place no stars if I could, but one star is required in order to post a review.

Went to the Autobarn in Oak Park Illinois to get a CPO 2024 XC60. I printed out the ad from…read moreCars.com to make sure they honored their price because their ai generated email was trying to tac on an additional $1500. Anyway I get there and the salesman I worked with was friendly and the sale was going great up until the car registration. The price of registration was not included in the check that I gave them from my bank. (Words of advice, always get a purchase agreement from the dealer and finance through your bank if at all possible) No big deal, I can just write them a check. The salesman tells me its gonna be $400. I tell him that I plan to transfer my plates. I'm from Wisconsin. In Wisconsin title transfer cost $214 and plate transfer is $12, new plates is $85. The salesman disappears for 10 minutes. He comes back and says I cant do that because I dont have the vehicle registration. Ok no problem just give me a 90 day permit just like any other dealership. He says he cant do that became I'm from out of state and that the car can't leave the lot until I get the car registered. At this point im getting irritated because it doesn't cost $400 to register a car in Wisconsin. So I'm like what ever. Then he tells me that its $600. I'm like you just told me it was $400 ten minutes ago, and hes acting like he doesn't know what I'm talking about. Now I'm getting that feeling like I'm about to get f--k. I tell him what it cost to register a car in Wisconsin and their finance guy is telling me that they go through some service and that if it cost what I say then I will get a check in the mail. I have bought many cars from out of state and I have never experienced this before. So until I get that check in the mail, this is my review.

And then Xavier's manager helped me understand more about my gear shifter. Thank you service department for having wonderful hard working and knowledgeable and kind staff. Then I went to the express oil change service station and Adrian assisted me and took great care of my car for the oil change and topped off everything I needed (coolant and windshield wiper fluid is what they top off) and added air to my tires after a long cold winter. Oil change is $135. Free popcorn and hot beverages and water while you wait along w vending machines. And Miss Lovely Erica at the sales department was super nice too! She looks out for customers and has their best interest in mind still after 8 years. She made fresh popcorn for customers to enjoy while waiting for the oil change. Thank you Hawk! The staff make the place and thank you for hiring such dedicated staff. And they play 80s music, the gold standard across the world :) Only thing I would ask ... please update the sofa and chairs at the express oil change service area. I understand it's happening very soon but the sofas are lumpy and cloth which is not easy to clean as it absorbs dust and odors... vinyl cushioned single seaters and love seats would be amazing ... just my personal preference like the ones at airports bc they are durable and easy to clean and don't lose their bounce. Then the high round tables and chairs are fine as they can be cleaned easily but the height to chair ratio is too short for petite people like me and once I sat on the chair I feel like my chin is almost hitting the table so please have taller chairs so people like me can enjoy the table. That's just my 2 cents :)

The battery clearly carried a 42-month warranty. At the time, Curie Motors could not perform the installation for several days, so I installed the battery myself to avoid being without a vehicle. Now, only about 16 months later, the battery has failed completely. When I contacted Curie Motors regarding the warranty, I was told they would not honor it because I no longer have the original paper receipt. What makes this even more frustrating is that every service visit, vehicle detail, and purchase tied to my VIN is supposedly "in the system," yet somehow they claim battery purchases and warranty records are not traceable. That is extremely difficult to believe from a major GM dealership. The battery itself has serial numbers and identifying information that should easily verify the purchase and warranty status. This feels less like customer service and more like a loophole designed to avoid honoring warranties on GM products. I have been a loyal GM customer, and this experience has completely changed my opinion of Curie Motors. If this is how they treat customers over a clearly warrantied product after only 16 months, I would strongly caution others before purchasing vehicles, parts, or service from this dealership. Very disappointing experience.
