This is me talking to Amy! Look how respectful she is of my time

The owner Amy is a a rude person and is skittish of customers that cancel so she treats everyone the same. Look at how she spoke to me on valentines day after she canceled my appointment that I had already confirmed.

If you want to relax for reasonable price this is then place to go. Their prices vary but for 90 mins. We paid $80 each plus tip. Honestly not bad. They ask before the massage start if we prefer hard or medium level of massage. They made sure that you're comfortable during your entire massage.

Place is clean, staff are nice, massage is good. But the problem is there is a suspicious hole on the ceiling that makes me uncomfortable

There are a variety of different sauna rooms some smaller than the others, rest areas and an area to play chess and go. What I love about this place is the 400 degree sauna that really cooks you. We stayed here for about 5 hours and went to all their saunas, we ended up getting a little hungry and ordered a meal to share plus a large bingsoo which was really refreshing and cooling to your body. There are no hot tubs in the general area and only separated inside the women and male area Great spot to come here to spend the day to relax.

So, I grew up in sauna. I've been to plenty of Russian, Finnish, Korean and Hammam type saunas…read more I've been to Sojo and Spa Castle ansd World Spa. I love to spend an off day enjoying some healthy food and contrast bathing. KIng Spa was definitely a uniquely Korean experience. The overall vibe is a little old school and dusty, lots of 80s looking water features with piped in birdsong. The locker rooms need an update and the gendered pool area is quite small. I would imagine if you were a gender non-conforming person this kind of place would be highly stressful. There were dirty Q-tips just tossed in a box on the counter with wax on them, there were communal combs (gross), and a lot of the areas for lounging had very beat up looking furniture. There were several ladies really pushing hip baths, it had sort of a hectic, hustle-culture vibe upon entering that was not really relaxing. However the overall vibe is cozy and the saunas themselves were the real deal, especially the ultra hot one in the basement. The food was EXCELLENT especially compared to Sojo. Real deal Korean offerings, beverages and unique snacks like sauna eggs and plenty of ice cream. I would suggest to go early and eat lunch there, then spend the rest of the afternoon snoozing, baking in the sauna or getting a chair massage. They also have a salon their that offers perms and nail service, can't speak on that but fun that it's offered. There are plenty if chess tables and places to read and scroll if that is your spa style. My main big complaint: I booked a 30 minute scrub when I entered. I soaked before the scrub as instructed, when the scrub lady came to fetch me she was rude and dismissive from start to finish. I am not talking about the usual straightforward Korean spa attitude-she was downright nasty to me. She barked orders, yelled at me for having dyed hair that bled a little onto the wet towel pillow I had to use, she pinched my skin, rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth when I asked her to repeat herself. I understand there are some different cultural expectations but I have never been so poorly treated by a spa employee before. KIng Spa, you really have to do some customer service training!

~Best Day Spa in NJ~…read more No other spa in the Tri-State offers the services, amenities, hospitality, and atmosphere that BRC Day Spa does. Highly recommend if you enjoy or want to try a true Russian banya experience. This spa is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean, the vibes are friendly, very relaxed. I am in love with this place, and plan to come on a regular basis! It's really that awesome! The service and hospitality are wonderful. Upon arrival, you will check in at the front desk. If you have forgotten your swimsuit, robe, slippers for the pool. BRC spa has men's swim shorts to rent and female suits for purchase to whomever may need one. Which is an excellent service. Love that they have slippers for the entire spa experience. Really appreciate, towels and slippers are provided with the admission cost. Robes can be rented from the front desk for customer convenience, if you don't want to bring your own. I prefer to rent theirs, the robes are very nice. Admission grants access to the facility's aroma, wet, and dry saunas, steam room, ice cold plunge, lap pool, jacuzzi, relaxation room, and the mud/scrub room. WiFi is free and available throughout the entire spa. The spa features a lovely cafe that prepares healthy meals, fruit bowls, that has a bar wherein alcoholic beverages can be ordered. The spa has other amazing add on's that are extra which include cryotherapy, salt room, float pod, massage therapy, and a VIP room. Highly recommend cryotherapy if you have any inflammation in your body. Cryotherapy is a game changer. Excited to try the float pod, cryotherapy, infrared sauna,on my next visit. As well as the salt room eventually. My overall favorite feature of the spa was the ice cold plunge. It was truly an amazing experience, that gave me immediate benefits. Never thought I could ever do an ice cold plunge especially when the weather outside is already very frigid. Thanks to other members sharing their experience. I built up the courage to the plunge. It was an awesome, euphoric, pain relieving experience. I will be taking the ice cold plunge or ice baths on a daily or weekly basis for the amazing health benefits. My other favorites were the regulars that visit the spa frequently. They were absolutely the best, and I enjoyed each and every patron I encountered. This place is pure positive bliss. When I left this spa all of my body aches, muscle tension, chronic pain, and stress were gone. If you fly into Teterboro, visit Meadowlands, the NJ/NYC area, this is THE BEST SPA IN THE TRI STATE! Thank me later...

Last I checked the tips in NJ is voluntary and: are considered voluntary gifts for service. While some restaurants implement automatic gratuity (often around 18%) that must be disclosed under the Consumer Fraud Act, you are not legally required to pay a tip, especially for poor service. None of the menus at the SPA restaurant or bar said they are charging the tip. No disclosure. Not even on the receipt when you pay. I asked to the take of my bill the tip but the receptionist said it is not possible and everyone HAS to pay the tip. Reporting it to the Federal Trade Commission.

As long as I've seen this spa, I have been holding onto a couple of gift cards for Spa Week and Spa Finder. Every place I frequent isn't a business that honors them, but when surfing the list of businesses that do, I saw Serenity on the list. Before booking an appointment I called the business to confirm the cards were accepted - yay, they take them (both)! Or so she said. I booked a manicure appointment for mom and I. Day of arrival we parked on the street (at a meter), not knowing the business has a parking lot behind the building for customers (manicurist shared with us during appt). That might have been worth mentioning Ms. Receptionist. The space looks small from the outside but inside is very spacious but dated; the Manicure Room is cute, but could use some updates as well. The nail color selection is limited and flat (none of the new stuff). The manicurist were great - took their time and polished well. Upon check out I presented both cards, one for my mom to use and one for myself. The reception said they didn't take Spa Week, I told her when I called the receptionist said they did. Whatevs, but I know what I was told. On my second visit (2 weeks later), I booked a mani and pedi, but the manicurist I booked with was no longer employed there, so I was very surprised because I wasn't notified. The new girl was good too, so I was satisfied, but normally a call with the option to keep or cancel appointment is my practice. The business sends frequent email blasts that let you know about specials and pricing, which the prices have spiked, as of April. A regular manicure will now cost $30, color gel mani $55, basic pedi $55. These new prices will determine the frequency of my visits.

Right from the start, her warm and positive energy set the tone for the entire session -- it's the kind of vibe that instantly puts you at ease. I came in carrying a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck, and she worked through it beautifully -- she seemed to know just the right amount of pressure to apply without me having to say a word, while still checking in periodically to make sure I was comfortable. That balance made me feel completely safe and in good hands throughout. I left feeling genuinely relaxed and so much better than when I walked in. If you're looking for a skilled, attentive, and caring therapist, ask for Francesca. Highly recommend!

Came with my partner for Valentines day and we arrived a few minutes before our appointment (as recommended). The check in/waiting area was clean, and had water bottles for customers. They do not offer couple services ( which I was aware of before I booked) so we went into separate rooms. The room itself was very basic (just a bed and a chair) and the music wasnt relaxing. Since the lyrics were in another language I found it distracting. Instrumentals with no words are what I prefer in a spa. We had a hot stone massage and an aromatherapy massage. My therapist for the aromatherapy unfortunately talked entirely too much trying to upsell future services. We both left thinking the service was just "okay" Our bodies did not feel more relaxed nor restored. I most likely will not return since I've experienced better massages from other establishments.

To whom it may concern, I've been receiving regular massages for the last 10+ years. I wasn't feeling my best so I booked a 90 min deep tissue massage. No issues at time of check in or at least so I thought until the "service" had ended. The "therapist" brought me to the room and when I would normally expect intake to happen there was no where for me to sit or put my things down. There was a large plastic container on the chair for the client and instead of the "therapist" removing it for me she went and made herself comfortable in her chair leaning on the counter. I explained I slept funny and my upper back and neck needed attention as did my lower back. I explained that I preferred a deep tissue. She then asked me to confirm three times that I wanted full body deep tissue. Asking if I wasn't sure that I wanted a firm Swedish instead. I should've know better at this point she was not comfortable with the request. When she started the massage she didn't bother wasting as time warming up my muscles she just went for it. Throwing her entire body weight into her forearm and elbow running down my spine. Shame on me for not telling her to stop. She ran into my spine multiple times so forcefully she said "Ouch". Stabbing my hip bones with her elbow it's impossible to believe she could tell the difference between a knot and a bone. If your "therapists" are unable to provide service they should not be assigned. This went on for 45mins and while I knew my time was cut short I was grateful the tournament was over. My 90 min "massage" was 30 mins short because she did not have the time for the appointment. At no point was the communicated to me that I would not be receiving the service I scheduled. At check out I explained my dissatisfaction and was still asked to pay $170 for 60 mins of pain. I refused and was still charged $120 for what I'm not sure. I'm in agonizing pain today and will have to seek medical attention to ensure she didn't injure myself. A spa is a place for self care and relaxation. This was anything but. Please consider the service you provide and if your employees are capable of delivering. From the front desk to the "therapists" there's dramatic room for improvement.
