I had been plagued with dental issues all of my life that I felt were contributed to by my irregular bite. I had a mouth full of crowns, root canals and dingy teeth. During my initial consult (no-cost) with Smile Texas, X-rays showed that I had a vertical crack in the tooth's root so the tooth had to be removed. My journey with Dr. Davis and his staff was not a quick one: he is a perfectionist and his suggestions about what would be best aesthetically required patience and persistence. Deb did my initial cleaning and told me what to expect regarding sensitivity; Jenell took the time to understand the type of smile I wanted...natural vs perfect and I trusted her judgement regarding color and shape; Jenell and Cherrie helped adjust my temporaries to ensure that I was comfortable. Cara was receptive to any concerns and Elsa helped make it financially possible. Dr. Davis held my hand thru the process and listened to me whine when I would get a bit frustrated. Dr Rick Kline and Dr Bret Davis of Smile Texas - The Best Houston Cosmetic and Implant Dentists.I made the perfect choice with Dr Rick Kline and Dr Bret Davis of Smile Texas for dental implants and cosmetic dentistry I have struggled all my life with broken teeth, missing teeth, abscesses and toothache. I thought I was destined to be miserable, in constant pain and having to hide my ugly teeth by never smiling. I went on 3 consults with cosmetic and implant dental specialists around Houston. The first dentist, a large chain - said, "pull them all out and do the all on 4" (because thats really the only service they offer) - the next dentist kept me waiting for 3 1/2 hours (after paying $250 for the consult) so that just wasn't a great start... Then I met with Smile Texas. During the initial free consultation, after a CT scan and through examination - Dr Rick explained the procedure for implants and a bone graft. Dr Bret covered the cosmetic reconstruction and porcelain veneers work. Smile Texas is by far the best dentistry experience I have ever had. The staff is absolutely wonderful and genuinely care about your comfort and happiness. They go above and beyond to explain things to you and make sure you are engaged in creating the perfect smile for you. The office is very tranquil and calm and the staff are very enthusiastic and dedicated. Dr. Davis is extremely knowledgeable and strives for perfection. It is very difficult to find any business now days where the customer is first and foremost, but at Smile Texas you are, without a doubt, their focus throughout the process. The quality of the work they do is fantastic. While my particular procedure required a few visits over a month or two, the whole process was handled professionally and flawlessly. They really listen and immediately address any questions or issues you might have. For years I was embarrassed to smile because my teeth were so horrible. Ok let's begin by admitting I was terrified of visiting the dentist and had the mouth to prove it. I had been searching the reviews of someone with not only the professional expertise but the people skills to hold my hand through this. Oh yes... I'm also old, grumpy and hate being told what to do. Bottom line is that makes me anything but a good patient. Dr. Kline said he could fix not just what I knew needed fixed but also a world of problems hidden below the surface. Wow was he right! I had Doctor Kline and his incredible staff tied up for 9 hours repairing decades of damage. They dealt with my fears as I never could have anticipated. And when one surprise problem developed that took me to yet another level of fear, they calmly took control of the situation. They had me scheduled for yet another appointment to deal with it before I was even out of sedation! That appointment took my full mouth restoration to a level of perfection I could never have imagined. As I've said to many since that procedure, there's no amount of money that is too much to pay for the freedom of my new, healthy mouth. If I could put zero stars I would. Was a patient for a number of years. Found out later that the type of teeth he uses will wear down over time. Then he will charge to replace them. This was never told upfront. After meeting with other dentists that specialize in implants, I found out nobody uses this material in their teeth. He also has his own in house lab that produces these teeth. All other dentists will use porcelain. This guy uses acrylic. The bad thing is once you have your teeth pulled and dentures placed it's a lifetime of needing them replaced. Price is around $2500 a set. They last 2-3 years. Once they wear down he will blame it on the patient. Forget about your so called warranty, it's useless to non existent. When pressed about this he will get angry and tell you to go somewhere else. When I say angry I mean out of control yelling. Save your money. Get a second opinion if you plan on going here. read more

Smile Texas is the BEST dentistry I've ever been to. For months I was looking for a place to get veneers but all the places in my areas took months of prep and constant in and out appointments. My brother told me about Smile Texas so I decide to reach out to them. I emailed them and they were quick to reply, giving me all the information I needed to know for the veneers. I booked my appointment and caught a flight to Houston. They arrange a car service to take me to and from the hotel, very efficient. When I went in for my appointment I was amazed by the chateau style interior and exotic fish tank. The staff was beyond nice and the procedure was quick and painless. I LOVE my smile! Dr. Davis and all of the staff at Smile Texas are amazing at what they do - the smile gallery on their website is proof of this. All were very compassionate, friendly and patient. When I had questions, they took the time to answer them thoroughly, and made sure I understood what was going on and why before, during, and after my procedure. I recently had a disappointing experience with Smile Texas. The customer service was abysmal, with staff seemingly impossible to reach when needed. Not only did they try to upsell unnecessary fillings that two other reputable providers deemed unnecessary, but they also attempted to pressure me into purchasing a nightguard I didn't need. Overall, it felt like they cared more about squeezing extra money out of me than providing genuine care. Steer clear unless you enjoy frustration and unnecessary expenses. read more
