Definitely don't let the outside of the building fool you, once you step in you will see it is clean and taken care off. It is quiet and small but had a lot to offer in the buffet. There are other reviews for Smile Bull that are very negative. Yes, they mught not have ice cold air conditioning, but we were never uncomfortable. They may not have as big a selection as other buffets, but we found plenty to eat. We have tried pretty much every Chinese buffet in the River Valley, this is definitely one of the better ones in terms of quality & variety. The buffet has plenty of options & includes a good variety of sushi, & even has a hibachi option. The taste of the food is as good or better than the other buffets I've tried recently. They were a tad slow when we visited, so we may have received more attention as a result, but they were very quick to provide refills on drinks & take dirty plates. The overall ambiance was nice. Restaurant was clean & the bathrooms were very clean & smelled good. I feel like the price may be a bit steep, $15 per person, but pretty much everywhere is more expensive these days. I definitely ate my fair share of food & was stuffed at the end. We will definitely be visiting Smile Bull again in the near future. read more

Today is 5/30 went to this restaurant because I read the reviews on the page lies all of them. They buffet was limited. It was so disgusting I used several napkins to spit the food in. My wife and I have the opportunity to visit this restaurant. It was a Wednesday evening around 6 PM. There were maybe half a dozen patrons at the time. As I was walking around the steam tables to see what food was being offered. I noticed some of the food appeared to be dried out. When I would use the tongs to lift some of the food, I realized some of it should've been soft and appetizing to look at. Unfortunately not the case. Some of the foods were burnt on the bottom and hard. Some of the meats were submerged in liquid, and you could see the fat on the top of that liquid. I selected some of the more simple things such as crab Rangoon, breaded chicken for the sweet-and-sour chicken. They did offer chilled shrimp, which was very good and fresh. The sushi table had several options of sashimi and several options of sushi rolls. The rolls are OK at best. I ate the fish off of the sashimi which tasted good. Sadly, this restaurant at this point in time does not deserve our return patronage. There are other restaurants for sushi closer to where I live in Van Buren t provide better quality food. I felt that it was very disappointing as did my wife. Especially with all the recommendations on the Van Buren residence forum on Facebook. read more

We decided to try it again tonight and it was some of the most disgusting food we have had in Fort Smith. The lettuce on the salad bar was wilted and literally soaking in ice water. The lo mein was sitting in a bath of oil. Most of the items were unrecognizable and there were not any signs to explain what you were eating. One item that did have a sign was the orange chicken. Smile Bull is a gem! Fort Smith is so lucky to have this restaurant. Me and my husband have been here several times and it's always 5/5. The food is always presented beautifully and it tastes just as good. Truly surprised the place isn't packed when we go, because it should be. Tonight I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice, and husband ordered Beijing spare rib. My chicken was fried beautifully and was crunchy with delicious sauce. His rib was cooked to perfection and soft. Service was amazing, super kind, sweet, and attentive waitress. Just as always, Smile Bull delivered! This place is definitely a lucky find. They're kind of tucked in, it's hard to find them too. I'm very glad we found them! The people who own this place are so very friendly! Their hospitality was what impressed us the most. But of course the food was phenomenal! Their portions were huge! So if you don't eat much, you should consider sharing. First off, I'm not fond of Chinese buffets and prefer to order off a menu like this place. I was there at lunch and didn't see the buffet that someone else mentioned, but they may have it at dinner or something. Ordered sushi to start with, and it's as good as any place in town. I had the crispy duck for my entree and it's not the best I've ever had, but pretty good for Fort Smith. The fried rice was about the best I've ever had. It's light and tasty, not dense like every other rice you get at places. The service was friendly and prompt and it's a clean atmosphere. Before leaving Fort Smith, I wanted to try some sushi from the area. Seen that this place had a few good reviews so I came by just to try it out. I had the rainbow roll & the spicy crunch roll. For some odd reason, I cannot bite the sushi like I usually do with other sushi places. I literally had to stuff the whole piece in my mouth to eat it. On the rainbow roll, the yellowtail was a bit fishy & the salmon and tuna wasn't that great. I actually liked the spicy crunch roll but prefer if they didn't use more rice on the roll then needed. Getting past the already cooked mystery meat, the broth was green and smelled nothing of broth, with the saddest bean sprouts I have ever witnessed, limp and soaked in water with no crunch. Our waitress did not know what anything on the menu was. I ordered one of my favorites Tom Kha. They brought it and I immediately smelled body odor. I thought to myself "hm that's weird" but my bf smelled it too. Decided to taste it, and it was sooo sour (like rotten milk) and the coconut milk or whatever they put in it was coagulated. I had the best bun (vermicelli with lemongrass chicken) I have ever had at this restaurant. The pho, ban mi, iced coffee, and spring rolls were also delicious. The waitress is very kind and attentive. The restaurant is clean and large with ample parking. I hope this place can stay open. Smile Bull will educate your palate and please your tummy. If you love a buffet because of the variety or quantity, this place is about as good as another. For me choosing the buffet is the equivalent of eating a hotdog that has been turning all day on the rack in a convince store. Just ain't gonna happen. But if you want an authentic Chinese dining prepared by a chef from China, this is worth the looksee. Chef Sun matches excellent taste with presentation not typical in the Ft. Smith area. Look elsewhere for heavy soy based sauces as his food depends on freshness and subtle flavors. I've never come close to finishing an entree. Two meals for the price of one. What's not to like about that? Website orders are very simple for eat in or take out. I'm two miles away and my takeout order is ready before I can get there. The wait staff, when I've eaten in the dinning room, is a little inexperienced but certainly not as challenged as Outback when they are slammed. I have not tried a Thai dish yet but that's next and I'm sure it won't disappoint. If you prefer to "dine" as apposed to "eating'", this will place will make your rotation of favorites. read more

Update. I usually make it a rule NOT to order sushi at a Chinese restaurant. However, having been recently disappointed in other Fort Smith sushi establishments, I gave it a try at Smile Bull. First of all, just like everything else that comes to the table, the presentation was excellent. The chef here really understands how to present a meal. I had a spicy tuna roll, a salmon roll, and a Boston roll. All three were very good, fresh, and tasty. I would definitely order sushi here again. read more
