On my first visit (for a cleaning), I was told I needed to return for a filling. I was given an appointment date and time. I returned and they said I didn't have an appointment and I didn't need a filling. Then they stared at me until I walked out of the office. I emailed and they said that, yes, I did need a filling, please come back in a couple of weeks. When I go back, the dentist and assitant are in the middle of a conversation and stop for a few seconds to ask "Got any plans for the weekend?" But they walk out while I'm answering their question. That was the last time dentist spoke to me until he walked out of the room for good. Everything about this place has been inconvenient and weird.

Anyways, upon arriving my dental technician (i really wish I remembered her name) was so calm, reassuring, positive and distracting that for the first time in 20 years I felt comfortable sitting down. Then, the dentist came in and instead of just getting to the boring point and dismissing me only to discuss my teeth and how much work I needed, decided to have a conversation with me. (What?!?!) I have never felt so calm in a dental office E V E R! regardless if they needed to rush me out to their next patient I never felt it. I left wanting to come back! Fast forward six months to the day of that appointment--after receiving multiple text messages confirming it--and I was suddenly told the dentist wouldn't be in and that I needed to reschedule. Around the time of my original appointment, I then received a call asking if I was at the office. I explained that no, I wasn't, because their office had to rescheduled me for the following week. After putting me on hold for several minutes, I was then told the next available appointment was October 2nd. At that point, the amount of confusion was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere. What really sealed the deal was when the receptionist responded, "Well, you already paid for crowns, so why would you cancel?" Excuse me? I haven't paid for crowns, nor do I need crowns. She then corrected herself and said it was "just a joke." This is a dental office, not a comedy club, and joking with patients about procedures they supposedly paid for is incredibly inappropriate. As the daughter of an orthodontist, I'm honestly flabbergasted by the lack of professionalism, organization, and communication I experienced with this office. I received the crown as a result of a worker compensation so I didn't have to pay for it, and I was very happy with their work. When I returned to have the extraction they strong armed me into having a complete deep cleaning ( other dentists have told me that a deep cleaning should be done in at least two parts and NEVER with an extraction.. I was in so much pain that. Had no choice to agree to the entire thing.. They wanted over $5000.00 for pulling a tooth??? In my experience, Lopez recommended dental work that did not appear to be necessary. During my most recent visit, a tooth was damaged as part of a whitening procedure. When I returned to address the issue, he suggested it was caused by grinding rather than clearly explaining what went wrong or offering a satisfactory resolution. The way it is broken cannot be done by grinding. Easy physics. They also push X-rays at an excessive frequency as if they are taking selfies, which felt unnecessary and driven more by billing than patient care. On top of that, there was constant upselling throughout my visits, which came across more like a used car salesman's sales pitch rather than medical guidance. The overall office environment was also unprofessional. Loud country music was playing early in the morning in shared spaces, which made the visit uncomfortable and disruptive. This practice felt more focused on maximizing insurance billing and add-on services than on patient care. I hope others do their research before choosing this office. Not recommended!

The practice presented both of us with treatment plans recommending thousands of dollars in dental work. We found this suspicious given that we had seen our previous dentist only six months prior with no major issues flagged. ​Once we received their recommended treatment plans in writing, we sought a second opinion from another dentist. As it turns out, none of the proposed work was actually necessary. We understand that clinical philosophies can vary from dentist to dentist, but the aggressive hard sell and excessive treatment recommendations made us extremely uncomfortable. Would not recommend.
