I had to change insurance this year. My husband went in first and was told he had periodontal disease. Charge $777. We discussed it and decided it was OK. But they would not do a normal cleaning and then a scaling on him, which was odd. I went in today. I go to the dentist 4 times a year on my own volition. I have had extensive dental work and value my teeth. There is a major bridge and other work. I do NOT have periodontal disease. I was told I could not get a regular cleaning, based on the hygienists evaluation of periodontal disease. I was going to pay $275 for a special cleaning. I do NOT have periodontal disease. I then asked if I could get a regular cleaning and was told I would need to come back. That is what I set up the appointment for! Bottom line, I either took 'their' cleaning and paid the money OR would have to come back for a regular cleaning (that I scheduled the same day). How does this work? I was extremely uncomfortable and told the office manager I didn't want another appointment and that I would be going back to my regular dentist. I walked out. My husband will not be returning either. I purchased additional dental insurance and will go back to our previous dentist. read more

I initially gave this place a good review, though maybe not on Yelp. The staff was very friendly. I went there earlier this year for a simple cleaning and x-rays. They filed two claims to my insurance requesting a total of $1,069. This amount for a cleaning? I was also told that I would get an estimate to fix and fill a couple of cracks in one tooth. The tooth did not bother me at all. I never received that estimate. I am more shocked at the attempt to get an absurd amount from my insurance company for a simple cleaning. I cancelled my next appointment and went with a different practice. The office is need of some upgrades too. Equipment and furniture seemed outdated, except for the panoramic x-ray machine. This office doesn't care about patients. I couldn't even get a basic cleaning (covered by my insurance) because I couldn't afford less the more expensive $600 cleaning. They'd rather your problems get worse than help minimize the damage until you can afford the more expensive one. Shouldn't be allowed to call themselves doctors. read more

I recently switched from my previous (long term) dentist to Aurora Dentistry. I needed a cleaning and the wait time / calendar for my old dentist was months out. (AD is on the SW corner of the King Soopers lot by Blackstone CC.) After the transition. I have had a few cleanings from AD over the years. What strikes me about the AD practice is that the technology all up-to-date: it's a rather new operation. They'll share all the views and photos of your mouth that were just created and show you what any issues might be. I did recently have the have some crown work performed and all their builds (for me) were created on-site. This is a major benefit as two appointments are combined into one and the final product is completed with one visit. Finally, they're nice people who are easy to get along with. Everyone here is super friendly, and I've always gotten great service from Dr Fayerman. She is so gentle and kind. However, like other reviews have said- their billing is unethical. I never get fluoride, yet when I received my bill it included a charge for $115 for fluoride varnish. Which my insurance didn't cover all of. I called and they removed the charge, but it's annoying to have to read each line of your bill to make sure they are being honest. I will come back for my next appt, but I will be confirming before I leave that I am not getting charged for random things. read more

Aurora Dentistry is a welcome dental office to the Southlands neighborhood! I think it is pretty common that man (or woman) suffers from odontophobia at some level be it from the exam, scraping or drilling or even just the results of an xray but fear not, Aurora Dentistry can help ease that anxiety. Dr. O'Neill has possibly THE BEST bedside manner of any dentist I have been to. The initial exam went well but Dr. O'Neill made a discovery that went unseen for months (maybe years) by any other dentist. He explained the what's, why's and how's straight up. He is very patient in answering questions (and i had maybe half a million of those) and was very forthright about what to expect and plan for. His staff scheduled me for surgery (accommodating my schedule as well) and are very on point explaining the billing breakdown (including my costs versus what insurance covers). I am presently past Phase 1 of my surgery (performed by Dr. Stucki) and will have another in 3months. I am nervous but also confident in that Dr. O'Neill will be supportive and reassuring when I return. Dr. O'Neill really does recognize that everyone deserves a fabulous smile! read more

I walked into office lobby with office staffer in argument with patient on the phone over billing. Owner Dentist O'Neill is probing a child's mouth without gloves, explaining a treatment plan to parents explaining the rot and number of root canals needed. (Loudly violating HIPPA in the lobby waiting area) O'Neill's hair was long and not pulled back, it appeared greasy and dirty. Meanwhile I am being told my insurance is not covering things they cover. I called my insurance company. My insurance company agrees, I was taken into the back for X-rays I didn't need because the office already did them in June but I didn't catch it, insurance did but X-rays were already done. So the staff didn't read my chart or were attempting to over-bill. Next I was taken back out to the lobby into that loud chaos. O'Neill appeared to be lashing out at the family for challenging the care plan. The parent then went to office staffer and they wanted $1000. The parent blew up again. O'Neill asked to speak with me in the back. I let him know I was on phone with insurance and fluoride is covered. O'Neill said he would not be speaking with insurance and he didn't care what someone said on the phone and that I needed to leave and find somewhere else. I asked why he wasn't going to clean my teeth. He told me to leave. I asked to speak with the owner. He informed me he was the owner. I had to call insurance company back to block Xray claims and report fraud. All 3 people in the office were actively in arguments with patients. I have been banned from the practice. It needs to be shut down. Better Business Bureau, Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies complaints to be filed next! read more

Front desk staff is always friendly & accommodating. The care is always on time, I never feel like I'm getting pressured into any services, and the dentists (I've had care from Dr. Pham & Dr. Brandt) are both very knowledgeable and seem like they genuinely care about their patients. read more

I had a deep cleaning several years ago and am ready to transition to regular, preventative maintenance visits. Unfortunately, those 3mo periodontal deep cleaning checkups were not covered by my insurance. For some reason, the dentist keeps scheduling me for these visits even when I am told repeatedly, by the dentist himself, I can transition to 6mo scheduled, regular cleanings which are fully covered by insurance. Just tried to verify my latest dental cleaning appt and was told I was scheduled for these uncovered periodontal checkups which I don't need, despite insisting for being seen for preventative maintenance. Upon trying to change this to a regular cleaning and explaining the situation, the receptionist hung up on me in frustration. Lastly, I pass on the fluoride treatment during my dental visits yet my insurance always shows the work as being performed during my dental claims. What's up with that? First visit to establish care. I specifically chose this location bc with my history of endo and perio needs I wanted a "one stop shop" office. Dr. Fayerman was very thorough with her exam and made sure I understood everything. I was given multiple opportunities to voice concerns or ask questions. I received a routine cleaning by the hygienist. I went home and saw there were still some tartar buildup left, so not as thorough as I'd liked or used to. Overall, everyone was professional. Do not go to Aurora Dentist in the Kings shopping center. We just moved here from CA. They are the biggest quacks and just want money. My husband went separate and they told him he needed a deep clean so it cost us over $700. Then I go and guess what I need a deep clean too and get this they wouldn't clean my teeth unless I did it. I said I have been going to the same dentist for years and they always clean my teeth. I did a deep clean just a year ago. No way I need another one so soon. Over $500 is what they wanted me to pay. My daughter got her teeth cleaned in the other room and she said they didn't even clean them like she is used too. They just sprayed water, brushed the bottom and put fluoride which I immediately made her come home and brush her teeth to try and get it off. They didn't even come talk to me about her teeth. She is 11 by the way. Who doesn't clean a kids teeth properly. They are the absolute worst I have seen in this field. So sad how many people I am sure they take advantage of. read more

I am not a dentist, so didn't want to leave a bad review until I'd made sure the work was really not of great quality. So, six months later having gotten my next cleaning done impeccably well at Red Hawk Dentistry, I can confidently evaluate the quality of cleaning at Aurora Dentistry as very low: a bunch of very obvious stains left unremoved. In general, to an amateur eye: very dated equipment and super low lighting in all of office -- visually unappealing. Makes you wonder what else, besides the stains on your teeth, they might be missing. Additionally, they acted as a broker for a periodontist consult for someone who comes in once a month -- if you don't confirm your appointment with this person, he will cancel your appointment, but he is unable to guarantee that he will see you even if you confirm and come in as scheduled: The first time I came in, I waited for 45 minutes and he never showed up. Second time I tried to make an appointment, they told me that they could not guarantee that he will be able to see me within an hour of my appointment time -- that was unacceptable as I am full time working mom, so I had to abandon the idea of ever seeing him. read more

Avoid this place! Terrible incompetent billing practices. They overcharged my wife in November 2016. It took them approx two weeks to correct the situation and issue a refund. In December they charged her again even after the account was paid in full - Merry Christmas!! The clowns in the billing dept are extremely rude and slow to respond to email. Stacy is amazing very knowledgeable and thorough definitely has experience and does her job well . I chose this practice due to other reviews and ratings I read here and through my insurance provider. I was thoroughly impressed. I don't think I'd ever had a stellar experience with dentists, but I'm happy to rave about the staff and providers here. I needed an overdue cleaning and opinion on a tooth that has been an issue throughout my adulthood. Before they began, the dentist spoke with me to clarify what I thought I needed and what the process would be. The x-rays were very thorough, and the dentist reviewed them with me clearly. The hygienist did a wonderful and gentle job with my cleaning. They didn't jump the gun or feel "sales-y". I have a follow up with their doctor to make sure we know all of the options before proceeding. They truly eased the anxiety I had due to past dentist experiences. Other offices don't explain how much things cost until after the treatment is done or even until after I have left the office. Who knew that going to the dentist could be enjoyable? I called here and got an appointment scheduled in less than a week. Their technology is amazing, makes my old dentist office look like they're operating in the Stone Age. Dr. Kelly Smith is very pleasant and professional! The hygienist who did my cleaning was nice and gentle and my mouth didn't hurt when I left. Also the gum measurements didn't bother me like they did at my old office. This past weekend i started having discomfort and toothache. Its the worst. And the worst part about it was i was dreading the thought that i had to go in. I had my first appointment with this office this past week and I was so impressed I am writing this review. My first interaction with the receptionist who gave me a tour of the office was very informative and the rest of the staff was so upbeat and friendly, I knew this was going to be a great experience, an it was. This is by far one of the best dentists I have ever had. The whole appt. was smooth and no glitches. I feel like they really care about me vs. making a buck. I was recently looking for a new dentist as my old one stopped taking my insurance. I drove by this office and decided to take a stop in. The front desk people were very nice and polite, and I decided to make an appointment. I came in a few minutes late for my appointment, but they were very understanding and still got me in to se the doctor within a few minutes of me getting there. Dr. O'Neill was very gentle with me and surprised me when he actually talked to me just to get to know me before I even had any x-rays taken. Most dentists rush you through to get you into the chair as quick as possible. The assistant then came to get me after the doctor and I had finished talking and took my x-rays. After that I was brought into my room where I was handed a remote and told that this office had satellite TV in every room and I could watch whatever I wanted while I had my exam and cleaning. I just thought that was cool. Dr. O'Neill then came in and performed my exam and again was very thorough in explaining all x-rays taken and what he was looking for. I have always brushed and flossed, so I only needed a regular cleaning, but it was nice to understand what he was looking at and have it put to me in regular terms I could comprehend. I had a coupon for free teeth whitening, so at the end of my cleaning I got a kit to take home with me, and about 1 week later I have much whiter teeth and now my husband wants to have his teeth whitened too! I would definitely recommend this office as they seem to care more about the whole person rather then just their teeth! read more

I moved here two months ago and needed a dentist. This place had an advertising sign outside, so I gave it a shot to see if it will work. I called and was able to get an appointment the next day, my email with questions about registration was answered immediately. In my opinion, staff is extremely polite, personal, and helpful. In addition, they were very understanding that I was late due to some traffic and Dr O'Neill stayed extra half an hour after their closing time to accommodate me. I would like to add that this dentistry has an ability to put permanent crowns within one appointment, since they're making them right on premises, which is very convenient if you're like me and don't want to have temporary crowns for two weeks. Finances were very straight forward and the amount was discussed ahead. I just started a new job, so I don't have any insurance, and they were able to work with me and gave me pricing comparable with having insurance plan. I had a cleaning here over the summer here and have been meaning to write a good review since then because I was very pleased with my experience. It's a brand new office with all new equipment and the staff were all extremely nice. I hate having whole mouth rads (x-rays) done because the plate is always so uncomfortable but theirs really wasn't at all and it was fast. The dentist was very nice and explained everything in detail. Even prices were gone over in detail ahead of time, which I appreciated especially without insurance. I hadn't been going to the dentist as regularly as I should have been and they didn't make me feel bad about that at all.
